Abdu Nosakhere charged after selling nitrous balloons in downtown Nashville

31-year-old Abdu Nosakhere was jailed just before 2 a.m. Sunday after police observed him selling nitrous ballons to a group of people, who were then inhaling them to get high in downtown Nashville at 5th & Broadway. Officers seized a nitrous oxide tank which he was using to fill the balloons. A second person selling the balloons was not arrested as he left his tank and fled from officers. Officers also seized all of his cash after he admitted it came from the sale of the nitrous balloons. Just a few hours later, the two were back selling the beautiful balloons, as seen in the video in the story.

DUI: Gimalee Taylor drank a half-pint of vodka before driving & crashing

57-year-old Gimalee Taylor told police she drank a half pint of vodka before driving and crashing her Chrysler Sebring on February 20. Officers found her still sitting in the vehicle as she was unable to stand or walk due to her level of intoxication. She freely admitted the vodka caused her to drive recklessly. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was transported to booking.

Server Aja Joblin-Lovelady jailed after cash register theft scheme at Big Machine Distillery

42-year-old Aja Joblin-Lovelady is charged with felony theft after her management at Big Machine Distillery caught onto her schedule to fraud the establishment out of $2,500 over the course of several months. As a server, she would reportedly ring up food for a table but later remove items from the check in the system after the guests received their checks, putting the leftover money in her pocket from their full payment. Management caught the activity on camera and contacted police, who issued a warrant for her arrest.

DUI: Thomas Gravelle charged after improperly navigating traffic circle

40-year-old Thomas Gravelle failed to propertly negotiate the traffic circle near 8th Ave S. in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Friday morning. A Metro Nashville Police officer was driving behind him and initiated a traffic stop. Gravelle was reportedly visible intoxicated, had slurred speech, and smelled of alcohol. He admitted to consuming “one drink” and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He later blew a 0.123% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Alexander Hankins — “talkative and humorous” during DUI arrest

THP Trooper Healey says 30-year-old Alexander Hankins was “talkative and humorous” after she pulled him over just after 2 a.m. Friday. Hankins reportedly cut in front of the trooper’s car, which was blocking an exit for traffic control purposes. During the interaction, she says Hankins was visibly intoxicated and smelled of alcohol. He admitted to drinking prior to driving and performed poorly on field sobriety tests.

DUI: Mandy Garman drove car onto railroad tracks after drinking IPA beers at Jonathan’s

25-year-old Amanda ‘Mandy’ Garman says she consumed “two IPA beers” at Jonathan’s Grille before getting confused and driving onto the railroad tracks on 2nd Ave. North, where her Toyata then became disabled. Police arrived, located her nearby the vehicle, and said she was visibly intoxicated and reeked of alcohol. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI.

Where’s Theo Von? A very drunken Mark Rouse would like to know

Police say 32-year-old Mark Rouse was threatening guests of the Hutton Hotel on West End late Thursday night, banging on doors and attempting to get into guest rooms. Security escorted him to the sidewalk, where en encountered Metro Nashville Police Officers. He could not give coherent answers as to why he was causing a commotion. He then tossed his fanny pack onto West End Ave in a huff, demanding to know where comedian Theo Von was. Rouse then stuck his fingers into Officer Strattons’ face while screaming profanities.
