Ladairron Ward swings on tourist at Whiskey Row & tackles tourist’s father

30-year-old Ladairron Ward was charged with disorderly conduct after getting into a brawl at Whiskey Row in downtown Nashville in the early hours of February 12. Police say Ward bumped into Tanner Jacobs and his father, Harry Jacobs, and then swung on Tanner. After a brief struggle, Ward then tackled the father. Officers had to separate the parties and placed Ward and Tanner under arrest for disorderly conduct.

Florida man Ashland Storr confesses to murder while at Metro General Hospital

Metro Nashville Police responded to General Hospital on February 15 after 26-year-old Ashland Storr confessed to a murder. When police arrived, he explained he had committed a murder a week ago in an unknown location. A records check revealed an outstanding homicide warrant out of Florida. His confession was recorded on camera, and he was taken into custody, awaiting extradition to Florida.

Hailey Carney found in a stolen Camry with a baby, ecstasy, and Bud Light Platinum

Belle Meade Police Officer Wes Bowker responded to a license plate reader (LPR) hit on a stolen Toyota Camry as it drove through the mini city on February 15th. 22-year-old Hailey Carney was found to be driving the car during a traffic stop, along with a small child in the back seat. A search of the car revealed a small bag of what Carney identified as ecstasy and an open Bud Light Platinum in the center cup holder.

BNA: Brianna Cosby denied boarding, assaults boyfriend and police officer

Airport Police say 31-year-old Brianna Cosby was denied boarding a flight at the Nashville International Airport on February 12 due to her level of intoxication. She then began to push and hit her boyfriend, Kelso Griffin, who was holding on to her from behind and attempting to calm her down when officers arrived at the gate. She refused to calm down and was too intoxicated to care for herself, so she was placed into custody for public intoxication and domestic assault. After being placed into handcuffs, she reportedly kicked Officer Wisarut Sinchai in the leg twice.

DUI: Timmie Godwin asleep behind the wheel on the interstate

Police responded to what appeared to be a disabled vehicle on I-40 E in the early hours of Feb 11 to find 30-year-old Timmie ‘TJ’ Godwin asleep behind the wheel with the vehicle in drive and his foot on the brake. Offers were initially unable to wake Godwin but were eventually able to reach through a small portion of the window that was rolled down and “poked” him until he was awake. As he was removed from the vehicle, it was apparent he was intoxicated and had an empty liquor bottle in the center console. TJ Godwin admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving and was transported to booking, where he was charged with DUI.

Brandi Jennings charged after pepper-spray incident at Maplewood High School

18-year-old Brandi Jennings was broadcasting an Instagram live from Maplewood High School on Valentine’s Day when several girls, who she is not friends with, got onto her feed and caused a scene while she was live. After her broadcast ended, she confronted the group of girls in the hallway but said she suddenly became afraid she was going to “get jumped.” She pepper-sprayed the girls, with one juvenile receiving a direct stream to the face. She was charged with carrying a weapon on school property.

Andrei Gavaz pulls it out and touches it at Kid Rock’s Bar on Valentine’s Day

Police say 24-year-old Andrei Gavaz unzipped his pants and whipped out his most prized possession at Kid Rock’s Bar on Valentine’s Day. He then thoroughly touched himself and then, using that same hand, smacked the face of a bouncer who had escorted him out of the venue due to his level of intoxication. He was attempting to re-enter the bar when the assault occurred. The bouncer, Shay Thomas, fell to the ground and suffered cuts to both elbows and his knuckle while attempting to detain Gavaz.

Police arrived to find Gavaz cuffed, and as they were placing him in the rear of a patrol car, he had to be hobble-restrained as he attempted to kick Officer Hill in the face, but no contact was made. He was still charged with assault of an officer, as Officer Hill stated he “felt as if he was about to be assaulted.” He then began to spit all over the rear of the patrol vehicle, resulting in an additional vandalism charge.
