Cheyenne Cole jailed after allowing somone to drive her vehicle under the influence of drugs

24-year-old Cheyenne Cole was jailed on Thursday night after police rolled up on a white truck on Dickerson Pike and found the driver passed out, snoring, and unresponsive with his eyes rolled to the back of his head. Cheyenne was the passenger and began to dig in Nathaniel’s pocket, pulling out a small bag of a white powdery substance and attempting to hide it inside of her prison purse. Police grabbed Cheyenne to place her into cuffs as she pulled away and tried to stomp out the small bag that had fallen. Nashville Fire Department transported Nathaniel to the hospital, where he told them that the bag in question contained fentanyl and could be found in Cheyenne’s wallet. Police found a straw that had white powder residue on the inside. It was also discovered that the vehicle was registered to Cheyenne’s father and that she was solely responsible for it, resulting in her being charged with a DUI per se.

Deontae Alexander fires handgun toward MDHA housing complex

19-year-old Deontae Alexander was booked on outstanding warrants from June, which allege that on May 18, he recklessly fired a semi-automatic pistol in the densely populated MDHA housing area near 14th Avenue South & Edgehill Ave. Several citizens were in the courtyard area as he fired toward another building that was occupied at the time. Deontae is under 21 and prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Brittaney Abrons jailed after throwing objects at ex-boyfriend during argument

35-year-old Brittaney Abrons was jailed on Thursday after an argument with her ex-boyfriend turned violent at their home on Double Tree Lane. Joshua Pittman told police that an argument started when she demanded he move out. She began throwing household items at him when he told her he needed more time. Joshua was able to block most of the items thrown, but one hit him on the hand, resulting in a cut to his finger.

India Dismukes: 105 mph in 70 mph zone… “I was late for work”

19-year-old India Dismukes was booked Thursday afternoon on a citation from April 8th when police pulled her over in her black 2012 Chrysler 300 on I-40 after they observed her speeding. Dismukes was going 105 mph in the rain in a 70 mph zone. Her excuse was that she was late for work. She failed to appear on her initial court date to self-book, causing a warrant to be issued for her arrest.

Daekwon Cunningham flees on foot from $2,600 hotel bill in downtown Nashville

26-year-old Daekwon Cunningham ran out of the JW Marriott after being unable to pay his room bill on October 26th. Hotel security advised officers that a male using a fake North Carolina ID charged $2600 for his stay, including $1,400 in charges from food & beverage, and refused to pay after his card on file declined and fled the scene. Cunningham was observed sprinting down the road on 8th Ave. S by officers as they were alerted to the incident by Hotel Security. Cunningham was positively identified and taken into custody for theft.

Doris Young steals wallet from Ulta Beauty in Green Hills Mall

66-year-old Doris Young walked into the Ulta at Green Hills Mall and stole a wallet that was sitting on the counter on October 17th, according to police. Surveillance shows Young walking up to an Ulta employee workstation, grabbing a wallet, and leaving the area. Julia Mallonee filed a police report stating her wallet was stolen from her workstation. Officers were advised that Young made a purchase as well and were given her Ulta membership information. Young admitted to stealing the wallet and throwing it away when officers called her phone, and was charged with theft.

George Griffin charged as driver in fireworks assault of couple walking their dog

20-year-old George Griffin was driving the vehicle from which Preston ‘Davis’ Cannon shot large mortar-style fireworks at a couple who were walking their dog on September 15. Keiffer Smith and Leah Langfelder were walking their dog near Scarlet Ridge Drive and Autumn Crossing Way when a vehicle approached them, and fireworks were launched from the vehicle, exploding in their direction. One of the explosions struck Mr. Smith. Interviews and video surveillance revealed Cannon to be the person who shot the fireworks and Griffin as the driver. Elijah Schuerman, a friend of Cannon and Griffin, told officers during an interview that multiple fireworks were thrown from the vehicle before this incident. Griffin was arrested for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a fireworks violation on October 26th.

La’Tona Whitson punches boyfriend in face at Hunters Lane High School hallway

18-year-old Hunters Lane High School student La’ Tona Whitson and her boyfriend D.W. have been dating for about nine months, according to police. On Tuesday, it was caught on video that they were walking down the hallway during dismissal and having a discussion. Whitson showed her boyfriend something on her phone and immediately punched him in the face. The video showed the victim bending over while holding his face. He then dropped his phone, stood up, walked to the lockers, and punched them. He was confronted by some other students and a staff member who witnessed it. The administrator investigated the incident the following morning. When police questioned Ms. Whitson, she said she hit him because she was upset about something he did and tried to push his face but accidentally hit him too hard.

Ashley Willford rams ex-boyfriend’s car multiple times

38-year-old Ashley Willford was booked on an outstanding warrant from September 5th after driving her silver Honda Pilot into the back of his gray Nissan Altima on Meadow Court. Keenan Jeffers told police that he was in his friend’s driveway helping them move when Ms. Williford, who was parked down the street, saw him and rammed her car into the back of his car three times before fleeing the scene. He explained that he and Ms. Willford were dating for a “while” but had broken up a month ago. He also stated she had spoken to his mother, found out he was moving, and got upset. Mr. Jeffers showed the police a video of Ms. Willford ramming her car into the back of his. Police observed broken glass, a broken rear window, damage to the trunk and bumper, and tire marks in the driveway’s gravel.

Kylan Austin empties house from third-story balcony in fit of rage

27-year-old Kylan Austin was booked on an outstanding warrant from September 13th, when he reportedly assaulted his girlfriend on Heritage Drive. Ashley Moore stated that her boyfriend came home late that night smelling like alcohol. They got into an argument, and Ashley tried to leave the apartment to de-escalate the situation, but Austin locked the front door and stood in front of it so she couldn’t leave. She tried to run to the front coat closet when Austin grabbed her in a chokehold style, causing her to lose her breath. When he released her, they started to talk things out, but he became aggravated again and threw her Bluetooth speaker out of a third-story front door into a parking lot. She responded by throwing his shoes out the same door, causing him to become erratic and snatch the TV off the wall of her bedroom. When Ashley left the apartment, she saw him throw the TV from the third story, breaking it. She then got in her car and left. When she returned home, she saw that Austin had thrown the living room TV, a TV from the room her mother stays in, a laptop, and two glass tables from the third story. Austin also threw a brick through Ashley’s sliding glass door, shattering it.
