Jason Martin assaults soon-to-be ex-wife after she changes music to something with “slower pace”

46-year-old Jason Barnett Martin had a domestic altercation with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Tiffany Martin, at their McGavock Pike residence late April 28th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Mrs. Martin, who stated she and Mr. Martin were on the back porch cooking dinner and listening to music. Tiffany stated she changed the song to something with a “slower pace,” which upset Jason. She said he told her to change it back, but she refused, sparking an argument, leading to them disputing the paternity of the child present. Tiffany told officers Jason grabbed her by the head and struck her twice before threatening to kill her and leaving the residence. Police noticed she had a severe laceration above her right eye that needed stitches, prompting them to call medics, but she declined medical attention. Officers deemed Jason Martin the primary aggressor. Jason Martin was taken into custody for domestic assault on May 2nd.
