Hector Gonzalez-Lopez caught with various drugs in his trap house

34-year-old Hector Alberto Gonzales-Lopez was stopped in a vehicle near his residence on January 5th, 2023. During the traffic stop, officers located a trap house in the engine bay area containing 183 grams of Fentanyl and 42 grams of meth. When officers executed a search warrant on Hector’s home, where they discovered 123 grams of Fentanyl, 5 grams of cocaine, 49 Oxycodone pills, 5 grams of meth, and $4,222 cash. On January 8th, 2024, officers obtained warrants for his arrest. Gonzales-Lopez was taken into custody for three counts of felony possession on May 2nd, 2024.

Saory Espinoza caught with 195 grams of marijuana after friend speeds down Donelson Pike

20-year-old Saory Espinoza rode as a passenger while Joshua Lira sped and swerved between lanes in his silver Infiniti near Donelson Pike around 7:15 p.m. on April 30th. While officers patrolled airport property, they observed this and conducted a traffic stop on the car. Officers noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, giving them probable cause to search the car. During their search, they located a black Calvin Klein backpack in the backseat containing 195 grams of marijuana, separated into small baggies and a small scale. Lira had $350 in cash on his person and advised officers that the contents of the bag belonged to Espinoza. Espinoza corroborated Lira’s claim and admitted the bag was hers. Espinoza was then taken into custody for felony possession of Schedule IV drugs.

Keon Smith drives his momma’s Nissan Altima, gets caught with 523 Grams of marijuana

21-year-old Keon Smith drove his mother’s Nissan Altima with heavily tinted windows into the parking lot in front of Kings Market Vape & Smoke Shop on Jefferson Street in the early hours of April 6th. Officers observed an individual exit the passenger side, enter the store, and return to the Altima before leaving, so they followed them and conducted a traffic stop on Underwood Street. After Smith parked the car, he and his passenger exited and started to distance themselves from the Nissan until officers began to speak with them. Smith told officers he was giving his friend a ride to the store. Smith’s family members started coming outside while the police were interviewing him, briefly interrupting their investigation. Then, officers discovered that Smith only possessed a learner’s permit. Shortly after, officers noticed a digital scale with single-use plastic bags in the cup holder of the Altima and a large bag of marijuana, which later weighed 138.1 grams, sitting on the backseat. Officers detained Smith and searched the rest of the Altima, where they located a bookbag with three large bags of marijuana weighing 207.2 grams, 133.0 grams, and 45.4 grams, as well as 12 individual-wrapped brownies. Officers seized a total of 523.7 grams of marijuana and $4,510 in US currency. Officers went to speak with the passenger and learned he was not involved in the sale of marijuana. Smith told them he was giving his “Cuz” a ride to the store. Smith was taken into custody for possession of Schedule VI with intent to sell, the unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and driving a vehicle with tinted windows.

Holden Parker caught with 6 grams of Meth after man overdoses on Rosa Parks Avenue

27-year-old Holden Wendt Parker, a Full Stack Salesforce Developer, was in the passenger seat when officers responded to a call regarding a man lying in the roadway near James Robertson Parkway and Rosa Parks Avenue on the night of March 22nd. When officers arrived, they located the unresponsive male and administered him Narcan. Officers observed Parker parked in his vehicle near the incident, approached him, and noticed he had white residue around his nose as if he had just taken a substance, exhibiting signs of impairment. Parker refused medical attention and then was detained due to his level of intoxication. Since his car was being left in a private lot, officers did an inventory search. Officers located six grams of Methamphetamine, a black pipe next to fentanyl test strips, dollars, a scale, and multiple small bags, all of which had residue on them. Then, the other person with Parker admitted to taking an opioid. Parker was taken into custody for three counts of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication, possession of fentanyl with intent, and possession of Schedule II drugs with intent.

Antonio Rivera caught with 36.4 grams of marijuana at Greyhound Bus Station

42-year-old Antonio Rivera was jailed on March 20th after police responded to the Greyhound Bus Station on Rep John Lewis Way South for a bag containing drugs and a weapon. An employee of the Greyhound found the bag underneath the seat of a vacant Greyhound bus. A search of the bag located a loaded Iver Johnson handgun, a large bag of marijuana weighing approximately 36.4 grams, and two receipts with Rivera’s name. Officers found Rivera and asked him to step off the premises. He was immediately detained and admitted that the bag belonged to him. Rivera explained that he let a fellow passenger from Indiana smoke from his vape and was given the marijuana in exchange. As far as the gun, he stated he carries it for protection. Rivera was taken into custody and charged with having a weapon under the influence, possession with intent to sell, public intoxication, and firearm during a felony on March 20th.

19-year-old Marcus Mcclendon caught with over 100 grams of marijuana, blames brother

19-year-old Marcus Mcclendon was involved in a property damage crash on I-40 East late January 21st. Officers arrived and noticed a strong odor of marijuana as they approached the driver’s side. They asked him when was the last he smoked, and he stated that his brother had smoked in the car two days ago. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded 113 grams of marijuana and a firearm with an extended magazine in the trunk. Officers also noticed Mcclendon’s license was suspended. Mcclendon was taken into custody for possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm with intent, and driving with a suspended license.
