Jalan Armstrong kicks, punches, strangles girlfriend after she goes through his phone

25-year-old Jalan Armstrong allegedly struck his lover after she went through his phone. Whitney Gama, Jalan’s girlfriend, spoke to police after they were called to her and Jalan’s apartment at Easton Apartments. She told police that earlier that day, on August 10th, she went through Jalan’s phone, saw text messages from another woman, and confronted him about it. She said he snatched his phone from her and pushed her face into a pillow, causing her to struggle to breathe. Jalan then punched her several times in the face and head. Also, he threatened to hit her with his pistol, but she said she could not tell if he had it on his person. She said that she knew he owned one. Then, she said, he let her up, and kicked her in the legs when she attempted to leave, causing her to fall, but eventually left the room. During the altercation, Whitney was face timing a family member who could not see anything but thought they heard a gun cock. Police reported that Whitney’s lip was busted and had bruising on her face and ear. Jalan was placed under arrest due to her visible injuries for aggravated assault.

Cristian Robelto charged with stalking estranged wife

32-year-old Cristian Robelto was found in a parking lot by police after his estranged wife and another man called them on August 10th. Elizabeth Maffiold, Cristian’s estranged wife, told police that she told Cristian that she did not want any contact with him. But, she said, Cristian keeps showing up to her place of work, and there is a report of him being there on August 6th. Elizabeth said that she and another witness saw Cristian in his car in the parking lot near them that day, so she called the cops. He was placed under arrest for stalking.

Mark Tabb to ex-girlfriend: “I’m going to rape you!”

32-year-old Mark Tabb told his ex-girlfriend, “I am going to rape you,” during an argument about her current relationship. Police spoke with his ex-girlfriend on August 6th, who said that Mark and she were arguing at an apartment on Murfreesboro Pike the day prior. She said after he told her he would rape her, he grabbed her by the throat, strangled her, and inserted two fingers into her vagina. She said that t she could escape and flee the apartment, and she showed police video she took while her phone was under the pillow. Police said that they had no visuals but had audio. After she arrived back again on August 5th, she said that they argued again. This time Mark brandished a large black hunting knife at her and told her, ” I can not let you leave.” When she escaped this time, she fled to the Speedway on Murfreesboro Pike, where police met up with her. While the police were speaking to her, Mark entered the store. He was then placed into custody. Mark stated that he did not know about the incident. But he admitted to him being the man that was recorded in the video that the ex-girlfriend showed police and said that he did not mean to say those words.

Dwight Mitchell charged after sending revenge porn of his ex-girlfriend to her friends and family

38-year-old Dwight Mitchell reportedly sent explicit videos and pictures of his ex-girlfriend to her current lover and others. Police arrived at Albee Dr. on July 23rd and spoke to Shonnice Vaughn, who said she and Dwight dated two to three years ago. While together, she said, Dwight recorded intimate videos and took explicit pictures of her without her consent. She said that two or three days ago, Dwight sent the pictures to Shonnice’s current fiance, his mom, and her through Facebook Messenger. Shonnice also said that he threatened further action with the videos and pictures several times. He was arrested, and a bond was set on August 7th.

Elexus Reed charged with shoplifting at Carter’s inside Opry Mills Mall #BoosterClub

26-year-old Elexus Reed attempted to leave the Carter’s store in Opry Mills Mall with over $200 in merchandise. Police spoke to an employee of Carter’s who said she watched Elexus conceal approximately $216.32 worth of Carter’s merchandise and leave the store on June 29th. The employee stated that she wished to prosecute. Elexus was booked on the citation on August 7th.

Lorenzo Reyes jailed for ‘rioting’ while filming a Nashville street racer event

20-year-old Lorenzo Reyes filmed an illegal street racing event on August 5th at Airpark Center East with a drone when police spoke to him. Police noted that Lorenzo was operating the drone in a closed air space due to its proximity to BNA Nashville Airport. The BNA tower said this was dangerous and said they did not pick up the drone on any of their radars. The officer also stated that he attempted to stop several vehicles, but they left at high rates of speed. Many of those said vehicles had no tags displayed or any other identifiable marks. The officer determined that the illegal street racing would continue due to seeing social media posts displaying vehicles engaging in reckless street racing at another location in Davidson County. Inside Lorenzo’s car, police found his drone, which he said was just a hobby, and two containers of marijuana.

Destiny Hollis-Cobb jailed for being a passenger during May NightRiderz street racer gathering

20-year-old Destiny Hollis-Cobb, the wife of Tyler Cobb, was seen at the “Night Riderz” event on May 20th close to the BNA Airport. She was a passenger while her husband spun around in the ‘pit’ at the event. Police said her husband is a “slider” and is known as a street racer and member of the street racing crew “Street Kings 615.” Tyler is also known to be an event organizer and was seen participating in the event with Destiny Hollis-Cobb. The event was at Airpark Center Drive East, where a large group of individuals stood close to the drivers that “slide” for the event. The officer reported that the culture of these events is the bystanders are to “get back or get smacked,” placing them in immediate danger. Also, if the vehicles lost control of the vehicles at their high rates of speed in the crowd’s proximity, it could cause serious bodily injury or death. Due to the large gathering of people all participating in criminal offenses, the actions are constituted as “riots.” A multitude of warrants for those participating in the May meetup were issued on August 3, and Cobb was booked on his outstanding warrant on August 10.

Police described him as a “slider” and said he is known as a street racer; he even once used a U-Haul truck to slide in. Tyler is also known to be an event organizer and was seen participating in the event with his wife, Destiny Hollis-Cobb. The event was at Airpark Center Drive East, where individuals stood in close proximity while Tyler was observed “sliding” at high rates of speed. The officer reported that the culture of these events is the bystanders are to “get back or get smacked,” placing them in immediate danger. Also, if the vehicles lost control of the vehicles at their high rates of speed in the crowd’s proximity, it could cause serious bodily injury or death. Due to the large gathering of people all participating in criminal offenses, the actions are constituted as “riots,” and that’s what Cobb was charged with. Myeisha Stanley charged in assault of father’s girlfriend

27-year-old Myeisha Stanley called 911 and said, “My daddy jacked me up. They will see when they get here.” MNPD officers arrived early Wednesday morning at the Southwood Park Pl. residence, where Myeisha lives with her father and his girlfriend. When the officers attempted to speak with Myeisha, who they reported was drunk, she said she did not wish to speak to the police and only wanted to sleep. Police then spoke to Myeisha’s father’s girlfriend, Victoria Kimbrow, who said she and Myeisha went to the store earlier that day and had an altercation with another female. After the altercation, Victoria said that Myeisha was still upset and took her anger out on her by punching her in the face. Police, again, asked Myeisha to comment on the story that Victoria gave them, but she refused to talk to them and said, “Just take me to jail.” Police reported that Victoria’s lip was swollen. Due to the injury, as well as Victoria’s account, with no rebuttal from Myeisha, Myeisha was placed into custody. Myeisha denied that any of her own injuries were caused by Victoria.
