Matthew Studer threatens to kill mom when he’s denied college tuition

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at Trail Cir. On the night of October 6th. Prior to officers arriving, 32-year-old Matthew Studer became upset with his mother, Kelly Studer, when she denied paying his college tuition and sent her two texts stating, “Kelly, just to warn you, sleep with one eye open” and “The next time you’ll see Matt’s significant life moment, it’ll be in the courtroom.”

Matthew also made two Facebook posts stating, “Well, she better sleep with one eye open; either that or my 33rd birthday will be spent underground; I dare anyone to call the cops.” In the second post, he posted his mother’s address, her vehicle, and her place of employment before ending the post, saying, “Take her out by any means.”

Kelly Studer told officers she was afraid of what Matthew might do when he returned after she saw the post. Matthew returned to the scene from college and immediately began to walk away and drop all his belongings when the officers asked to speak with him. Matthew Studer was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for harassment and resisting.

Duncan Kimsey jailed after drunken disorderly behavior

When officers responded to a call of a trespasser at a local venue, the staff stated that 28-year-old Duncan Kimsey was asked to leave multiple times and refused. The location has an active trespass waiver, and Kimsey was still on the property when officers arrived. The defendant reportedly reeked of alcohol, had slurred speech, and became argumentative with officers. Officers state because he was clearly intoxicated and pulled his arms away during cuffing, he was placed under arrest and charged with resisting arrest, public intoxication, and criminal trespass.

Brian Dowling just wanted to inhale some Nitrous Oxide, MNPD had different plans

55-year-old Brian Dowling was observed in the area of the Walk of Fame Park just outside the Phish concert in downtown Nashville this weekend. Officers described a sea of fifty to one hundred people who were all partaking in inhaling nitrous oxide via inflated balloons. Officers noted some were talkative; some were talking about how high they were; some were quiet, while others vomited.

When approached by officers, Dowling was told to drop the balloon he was carrying; he then released the balloon, picked it up, and inhaled it before running down the sidewalk and getting caught by the police. Dowling was taken into custody for inhaling or possessing intoxicating fumes and resisting arrest.

Charlesheika McWilliams “I’m not afraid of police” as she assaults another woman

18-year-old Charlesheika McWilliams was issued a citation on September 3rd after a verbal dispute turned physical at the bus station downtown. The report states that she was “postured up” trying to fight another female in the lobby near Dunkin Donuts. McWilliams stated that she was going to fight Adriana Smith and wasn’t afraid of the police. Officers and MTA security were standing in between both parties to keep them separated but McWilliams lunged past them and struck Ms. Smith.

Kaleigh Swift charged with DUI after downtown Nashville crash

20-year-old Kaleigh Reese Swift was jailed Monday morning after crashing into a utility pole on Church Street. A passenger of the vehicle stated that Swift was driving them home when she crashed and left the scene. Police conducted a welfare check on a female near 3rd Avenue and recognized her as the vehicle owner involved in the hit-and-run. She appeared to be intoxicated, smelled like alcohol, and was slurring her words. She didn’t remember the events leading up to the crash, nor did she remember the crash itself. She was stumbling around and stated several times that she didn’t remember anything before getting the boot off her car. Officers also noted that Ms. Swift had glassy eyes and dilated pupils. She stated that her cell phone was in her pocket, then proceeded to pull out a water bottle and try to dial a phone number. She described that her cell phone had a pink case with a butterfly drawn on it, which was found in the driver’s seat of the involved vehicle. Ms. Swift then performed poorly on sobriety tests and was taken into custody.

Anthony Jenkins jailed after disorderly conduct at TRAX bar in Nashville

Officers were called to Trax bar on Ensley Boulevard for an assault in progress on October 9 in which 29-year-old Anthony Jenkins was allegedly involved. When officers arrived and began investigating the incident, they stated that Jenkins became more upset and began to yell at the victim. It’s also reported that Jenkins was told by officers and other patrons to stay away from the victim before he tried lunging at him to re-initiate a physical altercation. Due to this, the officers determined that the defendant was disorderly and his behavior would continue, so he was taken into custody.
