Colin Teaser charged with DUI after canoodling with girlfriend in church parking lot

18-year-old Colin Teaser told police he was just “chilling” with his girlfriend on Bell Road at the Rural Hill Church of Christ parking lot on January 21st when they encountered the couple in a car together. Officers received reports regarding a suspicious vehicle, arrived, and spoke to Teaser, who advised them that a security guard had informed him it was private property before they showed up. They noticed his slurred words as he told them he had taken two allergy medications. He consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly, showing numerous signs of impairment. Teaser was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Porsha Leggs found in stolen vehicle with cocaine, chore boy, Oxycodone

32-year-old Porsha Leggs was in a stolen Kia Sorento at the Discount Tobacco Center on Jenkins Street on January 22nd. Officers followed the vehicle to the alley near Rosa L Parks Boulevard and Garfield Street, where they observed Leggs exiting it. They detained her immediately, found that she had no valid driver’s license, and located the keys to the Sorento. A subsequent search led to them discovering two pipes, a chore boy scrubbing pad commonly used in smoking crack cocaine, some cocaine wrapped in paper, and four Oxycodone pills in a paper towel. Leggs was taken into custody for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, two counts of simple possession, theft, and driving without a valid driver’s license.

Melody Hennigan charged in assault of boyfriend over images on phone

25-year-old Melody Hennigan had an altercation with her boyfriend, Justin Hafner, at their shared apartment in West Nashville on January 24th. Officers were advised that they argued about images that she found on Hafner’s phone, and when she tried to throw it, he grabbed her arms to prevent her. He let her go, and then she threw it, not damaging it, then she grasped her hands around his neck and squeezed lightly. Hennigan stated that she did this out of retaliation because he grabbed her arms. Hafner told them he did not wish to prosecute, but they deemed her the primary aggressor. Hennigan was taken into custody for domestic assault and transported to booking.
