Andrew Gay assaults fiancé for taking children to McDonald’s

34-year-old Andrew Gay was jailed on February 24th for assaulting his fiancé on South Street. A third party reported that his ex-wife, Angela Bierly, was assaulted by her current fiancé. When police arrived, Gay explained that he and Angela had gotten into an argument because he was sick and stressed. Gay stated that the argument started because of the children that he and Angela share. Gay, however, insisted that no threats or violence occurred. Angela told police that the argument was over taking the kids to McDonalds but that there were no threats or physical violence. Angela then changed her story after further questioning and said that she obtained an injury from her fiancé. Angela stated that she told Gay she was going to take the children out to McDonald’s, which upset him. Angela was holding the stroller when Gay grabbed her shirt to stop her from leaving, causing a bruise. The officers observed the bruise and determined Gay to be the primary aggressor.

Amaya Simmons drunkenly yells obscenities at Staybridge Suites staff

27-year-old Amaya Simmons was jailed on February 26th for causing a disturbance at Staybridge Suites Nashville. When officers arrived, Ms. Simmons was angry with staff in the hotel lobby. Officers also noticed the smell of alcohol coming from her. Hotel staff and other witnesses said Ms. Simmons was refused service at the bar and became upset. Ms. Simmons began yelling obscenities at the staff, prompting the staff to call the police. Simmons was then taken into custody and transported to Davidson County Detention Center.

Canadian Tourist Stephen Jones interferes with medics helping his wife near Omni Hotel

60-year-old Canadian Tourist Stephen Gwynne Jones interfered with medics as they tried to assist his wife near the Omni Hotel on Representative John Lewis Way South in the early hours of March 2nd. When officers arrived, they detained Jones and were advised that he and his wife were inebriated, stumbling in and out of the establishment. Jones was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Michigan Tourist Jarred Parker drunkenly dives onto police vehicle for no reason

24-year-old Michigan Tourist Jarred James Parker dove onto a patrol car near Broadway and 3rd Avenue South around 3 a.m. on March 3rd. Officers observed this and then located Parker shortly after, who showed numerous signs of impairment and reeked of alcohol. Officers detained Parker, and once he was in the back of the patrol car, he kicked the passenger side window repeatedly, causing damage. Parker was taken into custody for vandalizing government property, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct.

Keenan Liam drunkenly fights security at Clarion Hotel, asks police to arrest him

33-year-old Keenan Liam was being disorderly at Clarion Hotel on 1st Street in the early hours of March 3rd. Hotel security had him detained for fighting with security guards as officers arrived. During the scuffle with security, Liam sustained a nose injury that required medical attention. When medics arrived, they advised officers that they would transport Liam to Midtown Hospital. Liam displayed good behavior until they got to the hospital, where he began to refuse medical assistance and asked for officers to arrest him. Liam was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Blain Zivkov drunkenly breaks down roommate’s door during altercation

23-year-old Blain Zivkov had a domestic incident with his roommate, Hannah Johnson, at their Slaters Creek Road residence on March 3rd. Johnson called the police, reporting that Zivkov came home drunkenly yelling and knocking on her bedroom door, which was locked. Johnson stated that Zivkov began accusing her of having some of his things. Then, Johnson said Zivkov kept trying to enter her room before he forced the locked door open, breaking it off its hinges. Johnson explained that she was afraid of being assaulted after this happened. Zivkov then retreated to his room. Johnson noted that she heard him enter his gun safe before leaving the property.  Zivkov was taken into custody for domestic assault and vandalism.

DUI: Adam Chance blows 0.209% BAC after crashing Tesla into tree near I-40 West

26-year-old software engineer Adam Chance crashed his black Tesla into a tree on the right shoulder of the exit ramp onto I-40 West in the early hours of March 2nd. When officers arrived, Chance was standing next to his car and advised officers that he was driving westbound on I-40 West when a vehicle reportedly ran him off the road. A witness told officers they saw Chance swerving between lanes with his hazard lights on. The witness also stated that Chance told him he had two alcoholic beverages before the accident. Chance consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and agreed to provide a breath sample as officers noticed him reeking of alcohol. Chance’s breath sample resulted in 0.209 BAC%. Chance failed to blow for the second attempt and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Nashville Realtor Billy Pesaturo charged in strangulation of ex-girlfriend during argument

43-year-old Nashville Realtor William ‘Billy’ Pesaturo was jailed Friday Night on outstanding warrants from an earlier incident. His ex-girlfriend, Patricia Benitez, visited the Family Safety Center on March 1 to report an incident that occurred on January 30. She says the two were in a previous relationship but still living together when they became involved in a verbal argument at their home. She said when she attempted to leave the room, Pesaturo blocked her exit and grabbed her by the front of her throat, pushing her against a wall. She estimated he strangled her for approximately thirty seconds, during which time she was unable to breathe. She eventually escaped his grip and was able to leave the room.

Jack Dawson crashes through Broadway window while “play fighting” with friend in downtown Nashville

30-year-old Jack Dawson was “play fighting” with friend Harry Rigby on Broadway in downtown Nashville early Sunday morning in front of Big Time Boots. The two fell into the front glass of the store, shattering the window. Police arrived to find both individuals reeking of alcohol. Dawson was unable to answer any questions, but did acknowledge he pushed Rigby into the window. Both were taken into custody and transported to booking.

Kyle Bassett charged with DUI when vehicle gets stuck on railroad tracks after drinking in downtown Nashville

25-year-old Kyle Bassett was found in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that was stuck on the railroad tracks on Church Street in downtown Nashville just after 3 a.m. Saturday. He admitted to drinking “some beers” at a bar in downtown Nashville, along with his female passenger, who was the registered owner of the car. Bassett was reportedly confused about where he was and how the vehicle became stuck on the tracks. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He later claimed that the passenger drove the vehicle to the tracks and then swapped places, but she would not answer any questions and remained silent. Bassett and the passenger were taken into custody and charged with DUI-related charges.
