Daylon Franklin booked on multiple outstanding citations after February crash

27-year-old Daylon Franklin Was booked last week on citations from February 24th, 2023, after he caused a car accident on Bell Road/ Murfreesboro Pike. When the police ran his license, it came back suspended. When they ran his tags, his registration returned as not on file, showing that the VIN attached to the car should have a different tag. He was issued multiple citations and failed to self-book on them, resulting in warrants being issued for his arrest.

Travis Chambers, 19, bites teacher who won’t let him “talk to his people” on phone

19-year-old Travis Chambers was booked this week after assaulting his teachers when they wouldn’t let him “talk to his people” on the phone while at Cora Howe High School. Mr. Seth Jason Powell explained that Chambers was using his phone without permission, and when he tried to take it away, he was punched in the face. According to Mr. Powell, Chambers lost control, and multiple teachers tried to restrain him, but not before he bit Mr. Powell in the left hand near his thumb, breaking the skin and scratching him on the arm. Police observed the injuries, and Chambers was placed into custody for assault.

Alexis Wilson walks into AJ’s bar, pulls down her pants, urinates all over the floor

31-year-old Alexis Wilson asked AJ’s Bar security if she could use the restroom inside the bar but did not make it. Police arrived at the bar and spoke with security, who flagged them down about the situation. The security said they agreed to let Alexis into the bar to utilize the restroom, but she pulled her pants down in the bar’s doorway and urinated on the floor instead. They said that they then took her back outside. Police reported that Alexis was visibly intoxicated, so she was arrested for public intoxication.

Alexis Busha jailed after fighting security at Jason Aldean’s bar

21-year-old Alexis Busha was visibly intoxicated outside Jason Aldean’s bar on Broadway Saturday. Police responded due to an incident between Alexis and the security staff earlier. Alexis was making random statements and was aggressive when police spoke to her. She noticed a woman and began approaching her as if to start a fight, so police placed Alexis into custody. She was escorted to the patrol vehicle but was still aggressive with the police. Police arrested her for public intoxication because they felt she was a danger to others if left unattended.

Thomas Furey crashes vehicle after drinking “two beers”

47-year-old Thomas Furey was found by police at the scene of an accident where he crashed into a utility pole off of 6th Ave and Mulberry on Friday night. Thomas’s truck was under the broken utility pole with an exposed wire draped over the vehicle’s top. The passenger side of his truck suffered extensive damage, causing him to be stuck inside the construction site right off the roadway. He was in the vehicle’s driver’s seat and attempting to reverse despite instructions to stop while emergency equipment attempted to free him. After being helped out of the vehicle, he swayed and told the Nashville Fire Department personnel that he only had two beers earlier that evening. Police asked him what city he was currently in, and he could not discern between Smyrna or Murfreesboro, but when later asked to clarify, he said Smyrna — he was in Nashville. He showed several signs of intoxication during sobriety tests. Police then placed him into custody for DUI.

Ethan Brown jailed after DUI crash in West Nashville

18-year-old Ethan Hunter Brown crashed his vehicle late Friday night on Charlotte Pike, according to police, who say he rear-ended another vehicle. A witness observed Brown throw a ‘Twisted Tea’ alcoholic drink from the vehicle immediately after the crash. Officers located the Twisted Tea and spoke with Brown, who was slurring his speech and reeked of alcohol. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. 

Susan Denton jailed on DUI charge early Sunday morning

49-year-old Susan Denton was seen by police driving erratically in a Twice Daily parking lot around 1 a.m. on Sunday. Police watched Susan pull out from a parking spot at the Twice Daily into the middle of the road, stop, and then reverse back into the parking lot. After that, she moved forward and slammed on her brakes. She waited several minutes until a vehicle pulled behind her and used its horn. When she pulled out the second time, she headed towards the ramp onto I-65 with the officer behind her and swerved off the ramp left back towards the road. Police then conducted a traffic stop on Susan, and she told them that she had two drinks at a local club around 10 p.m. Saturday. During sobriety tests, she showed signs of intoxication, and police found a near-empty bottle of vodka with a cup of orange juice, smelling of alcohol, in her vehicle. After being placed into custody, she agreed to provide a breath sample, but the EC/IR machine malfunctioned, so she was asked to provide a blood sample. Susan said she was uncomfortable with needles and refused to give blood, so she was reminded that the other part of her implied consent stated that she could also be required to give blood. Police booked her into jail on her first DUI and implied consent charges.

Elizabeth Silva jailed after being kicked off plane — too drunk to fly

27-year-old Elizabeth Silva was jailed late Sunday night after being deboarded from her flight due to being intoxicated. When police arrived at the gate, they spoke with Silva; she was distraught, crying and repeating herself multiple times. Officers detected the odor of alcohol on her and noticed she was unbalanced and slurring. She repeatedly refused to leave the secure side of the airport and raised her voice at the officers when they advised her to do so due to her being deboarded. At this point, officers determined Ms. Silva could not care for herself, and she was placed into custody.

Lizabeth Arellano kicked off plane and arrested for being too drunk to fly

37-year-old Lizabeth Arellano was jailed late Sunday night after being deboarded from her flight at the Nashville International Airport due to being intoxicated. Arellano was visibly frustrated as she interacted with the police at the gate. She was visibly intoxicated, unsteady on her feet, slurring, and the odor of alcohol emitted from her body. She repeatedly refused to leave the secure side of the airport and raised her voice at the officers when they advised her to do so due to her being deboarded. At this point, officers determined Ms. Arellano was unable to care for herself, and she was placed into custody.
