Robert Niesporek takes off shirt, threatens to fight police after they take his drink away

26-year-old Robert John Niesporek was observed walking on the sidewalk with an open container of alcohol outside of Whiskey Row in the early hours of May 5th. Police noticed he reeked of alcohol and advised him that he needed to throw away his drink, which he refused. Niesporek then started to drink, prompting officers to take the open container out of his hand. After this, Niesporek took a fighting stance, removed his shirt, asking police, “You want to go?” while yelling and screaming derogatory slurs in their faces. Officers gave him multiple opportunities to leave after being warned he would be detained for his behavior, but he continued to be belligerent. Officers deemed Niesporek a danger to himself or others. Niesporek was taken into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Freddy Leyva drunkenly threatens to slap police officer in downtown Nashville

36-year-old Freddy Leyva was taken into custody for public intoxication on April 22nd. Late April 21st,  officers were flagged down regarding two “overly intoxicated” individuals near 3rd Avenue North and Commerce Street, one of which was later identified as Leyva. When officers arrived, they noticed he showed signs of impairment and alerted the medics, who transported the other unidentified female for medical evaluation. While waiting for the medical unit, officers asked Leyva what the relationship between him and the unidentified female was, causing Leyva to become aggressive. Leyva then threatened to slap an officer, so officers detained him. When medics arrived, Leyva was deemed a danger to himself and others after refusing all medical services. Leyva was taken into custody for public intoxication.  

Brandon Clopton gets into fight at Barstool Sports

25-year-old Brandon Allen Clopton, CEO of Illustrated Marketing Inc. had an altercation at Barstool Sports on April 14th. When officers arrived, they observed Clopton being held against a wall, struggling with security at Barstool near the main entrance. Security told them that Clopton and another individual had a scuffle with several others inside the establishment. Once officers detained Clopton, the other party involved became aggressive, so they handcuffed him as well. Afterward, the officers tried to escort Clopton to the patrol car, where he suddenly lunged forward, breaking their grasp and causing them to trip. Clopton was taken into custody for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

19-Year-Old James Carroll drunkenly argues with pedestrians on Broadway

19-year-old James Patrick Carroll argued with pedestrians as they passed by in front of Whiskey River on Broadway late March 16th. When officers located Carroll, he reeked of alcohol, exhibiting numerous signs of impairment. Carroll stated that he was alone and did not know what hotel he was staying at. Carroll was deemed unable to care for himself and then was taken into custody for public intoxication and underage drinking.

Julian De La Rosa jailed after punching bouncer at Jason Aldean’s Bar in downtown Nashville

20-year-old Julian De La Rosa was disorderly at Jason Aldean’s Bar early January 1st. Security guards advised officers that De La Rosa was extremely intoxicated, refused to leave after being told to, and punched Tony Madrid, a security guard, in the chin when they were detaining him. De La Rosa pulled away from officers, trying to avoid handcuffs, but he was ultimately taken into custody for resisting public intoxication and resisting arrest.

Jonathan De La Rosa too drunk for Jason Aldean’s Bar in downtown Nashville

25-year-old Jonathan De La Rosa was reportedly acting disorderly at Jason Aldean’s bar on Broadway late New Year’s Eve. Security warned Jonathan about his behavior. He continued to be disruptive, so he was placed into handcuffs and escorted out of the bar due to his level of intoxication. Jonathan was turned over to Metro Nashville Police, who transported him to booking and charged him with public intoxication.

Jalin Drayton argues with officer at Whiskey Row, gets in his face, yells “Don’t Touch Me!”

28-year-old Jalin Drayton was arguing with employees at Whiskey Row on Broadway in the early hours of Sunday. Officers observed an individual arguing with security because he had been kicked out of the bar. They were speaking with him when Drayton began to argue with the other Whiskey Row personnel due to being friends with the individual. Officers warned him to step back and stop arguing, but he refused, got in the officer’s face, and kept yelling, “Don’t touch me!” He was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.
