Katiria Maldonado-Davila caught at Nashville International Airport with 47 pounds of marijuana

38-year-old Katiria Maldonado-Davila was taken into custody for felony possession on March 4th. Nashville International Airport Police investigated an inbound Southwest flight from San Jose, California. Officers deployed their narcotics detection K-9 unit, Peggy, which gave a positive indication to two bags displaying “Kati Maldonado.” Officers approached Maldonado as she walked down C concourse, asking if she was Katiria Maldonado-Davila, which she denied. Officers asked again after explaining why they approached her. Maldonado then provided her Pennsylvania Driver’s License, confirming her identity. Officers explained that their K-9 unit, Peggy, was alerted to her bags, so they asked to search them, but she refused. Officers then obtained a search warrant for the two pieces of luggage. Officers located ten vacuum-sealed bundles of marijuana weighing around 25 pounds in her USTRAVELER suitcase. In addition, officers found nine vacuum-sealed bundles of marijuana weighing about 22 pounds in her SAMSONITE suitcase. The marijuana found in both suitcases totaled to approximately 47 pounds or 21,318.8 grams.

Ebony Collins caught at Nashville International Airport with 20 pounds of marijuana

30-year-old Ebony Collins was taken into custody for felony possession on February 28th. Nashville Airport Police Department investigated an inbound Southwest flight 802 scheduled to arrive from Los Angeles, CA, and deployed their narcotics detecting K-9 Peggy, who gave a positive indication to four bags. There was a hard-sided dark pink roller bag with a SWA bag tag name displaying “Collins/Ebony,” a dark blue hard-sided roller bag with a SWA bag tag name displaying “Moss/Alvin,” a light blue hard-sided roller bag with a SWA bag tag name displaying “Hampton/Willie,” and a light pink hard-sided roller bag with a SWA bag tag name displaying “Hughes/Toshel.” Officers located them once each bag was claimed and separately asked to search their luggage, to which they consented. During a search of Collins’s dark pink suitcase, they located 17 bundles of vacuum-sealed marijuana, totaling 9,071.85 grams/20 pounds, two bottles of promethazine syrup, and a container with a mixture of pills.

Toshel Hughes caught at Nashville International Airport with 18 pounds of marijuana

27-year-old Toshel Dennesse Hughes was taken into custody for felony possession of a schedule VI drug on February 28th. Nashville Airport Police Department investigated an inbound Southwest flight 802 scheduled to arrive from Los Angeles, CA, and deployed their narcotics detecting K-9 Peggy, who gave a positive indication to four bags. There was a hard-sided dark pink roller bag with a SWA bag tag name displaying “Collins/Ebony,” a dark blue hard-sided roller bag with a SWA bag tag name displaying “Moss/Alvin,” a light blue hard-sided roller bag with a SWA bag tag name displaying “Hampton/Willie,” and a light pink hard-sided roller bag with a SWA bag tag name displaying “Hughes/Toshel.” Officers located them once each bag was claimed and separately asked to search their luggage, to which they consented. During a search of Hughes’s light pink suitcase, they located 18 bundles of vacuum-sealed marijuana as well a small amount in her purse totaling 8,164.66 grams/18 pounds.

Alvin Moss caught at Nashville International Airport with 10 pounds of marijuana

37-year-old Alvin Lester Moss was taken into custody for felony possession on February 28th. Nashville Airport Police Department investigated an inbound Southwest flight 802 scheduled to arrive from Los Angeles, CA. Officers deployed their narcotics detecting K-9 Peggy, who gave a positive indication to four bags.
