Police were on an unrelated call when Swader barrelled toward them and then cooperated with a traffic stop in a parking lot a short distance away. Swader opened his door and gave them his car keys, when police asked why he was giving up his car keys, he shrugged his shoulders. He had no driver’s license to show officers when they asked for it but instead handed them a state ID. Police saw a nearly empty bottle of patron on the floor of the backseat and he told police he had a long island iced tea before driving. Swader had slurred speech, his eyes were glassy and he was off balance when exiting his vehicle. He was slow when answering questions, and at some points of the investigations, he didn’t answer at all. He agreed to sobriety tests and performed poorly.

When officers were placing Swader into the patrol vehicle, police grabbed his belongings that he had left on top of the car and saw a green leafy substance in plain sight, and he refused to answer what it was. Swader vomited on himself several times on the way to booking and now faces DUI, driving on a revoked license, drug possession, implied consent, and open container charges

Officers also saw several boxes of Ammo scattered around the truck, including a box of steel-cased Red Army Standard .223 sitting on the driver’s seat. After seeing all this, the officers asked if there were any weapons in the vehicle, to which Bradford replied there was only a revolver.
