DUI: Jeffrey Degraffenreid refuses sobriety tests because he is already intoxicated

61-year-old Jeffrey Degraffenreid damaged his front right tire, causing his car to break down in the middle of Morrow Ave around 8:16 p.m. on March 19th. Officers observed this and went to assist because it was a safety hazard. When they approached, Degraffenreid did not know why his car was not moving, and they noticed he reeked of alcohol. He told them he was coming from the liquor store and then admitted to drinking before driving there. Degraffenreid had a .380 ACP on the left side of his hip, so officers removed it from the holster and unloaded it for their safety. Officers asked if he would perform sobriety tests, which he refused, asking why he would take them if he was already intoxicated. Degraffenreid agreed to provide a chemical sample after being informed of implied consent and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence and possession of a weapon while being under the influence.

DUI: Tabatha Perry says she only smoked marijuana before having to be revived with Narcan

38-year-old Tabatha Perry was booked on a citation from August 28th after running off the road and hitting a metal guardrail on the shoulder of I-40 near Old Hickory Boulevard. When police responded to the crash, they found Perry unconscious in the driver’s seat of her Dodge Caravan. She was shallowly breathing, and her skin was purple. Police administered a dose of Narcan in an attempt to revive her. Once awoken, she was transported to Centennial Hospital for medical attention. Police interviewed Perry at the hospital, where she told them that she smoked a joint at her mother’s house before taking her to Vanderbilt and that she hadn’t had much sleep within the past 24 hours, which is why she dozed off while driving and hit the guardrail. Perry consented to field sobriety tests, but only one could be performed due to her being in the hospital bed.

Accused pimp Tremayne Quinn charged with dragging woman by her hair through dirt

26-year-old Tremayne Quinn was jailed on April 7th after allegedly assaulting a woman that others claim he is pimping out. Officers responded to Sonya Drive, where an anonymous caller stated that her female friend was being “pimped out.” The officers knocked multiple times before Quinn answered the door with the victim, Bethany Alford, standing behind him. Police asked if there were any disturbances or domestic incidents, and Quinn quickly said no. Then officers saw Bethany shaking her head and crying, so they separated the two to question them. They saw marks on her neck indicating that she’s been choked, bruising around her face, and cut marks on her neck. It seemed she covered most of the injuries with makeup. Bethany told police that she was roommates with Quinn, and when he came earlier to pick her up, and she refused to go with him, he grabbed her by her neck and threw her to the ground. Then Quinn dragged Bethany in the dirt by her hair and slapped her in her face multiple times. She was afraid of Quinn finding out what she told the police. Quinn was passive-aggressive when speaking with the police, demanding to know who called them.
