52-year-old Jeffrey Greene crashed his car into a tree near a Goodbar Drive residence late April 24th. When officers arrived, they observed Greene lying unconscious on the ground next to his vehicle, which was on fire. After medics checked on him, he refused additional medical treatment. While officers investigated, Greene kept telling officers he was not involved in an accident and was unaware of how his car crashed. He consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and agreed to provide a blood sample after being informed of implied consent. During a subsequent search of his vehicle, officers located a firearm near the driver’s compartment. Green was transported to Nashville General Hospital and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence and possession of a weapon while under the influence.
