Matthew Stinson hits girlfriend several times because she “was not saying things he wants her to say”

34-year-old Matthew Chase Stinson had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Lilly Woods, on April 30th. Woods told officers that she and Stinson had argued about him telling her that she was “not saying things he wants her to say.” During the argument, Stinson became angrier and started hitting her several times, leaving bruises on her back. Stinson also reportedly bit Woods during the assault as well. Stinson was taken into custody for domestic assault on May 8th.

Owner of Walter Colson Paint and Body Shop indicted for death of kayaker on Percy Priest Lake

A Davidson County Grand Jury indicted 61-year-old Walter William Colson for vehicular homicide, aggravated assault leading to death, reckless endangerment, and reckless boating on April 24th, 2024. The indictment alleges that Colson, on the 29th day of April 2023 in Davidson County, Tennessee, recklessly killed Jaida Lindsay by the operation of a motorboat or vessel, the killing of Jaida Lindsay being the proximate result of Colson’s conduct.

On May 9th, detectives were conducting a warrant service on Colson, where they explained the situation to him, to which he replied, “I am not going with you today,” and started walking away. When detectives told him to stop and tried grabbing his arm, he pulled away, “puffed out” his chest, and began to move as if he was going to hit them with the tools in his hands. He was detained for the occurrence and was additionally charged with resisting arrest.

Corey Stockburger caught selling alcohol to minor at Mr. Whiskers Wine and Liquors

54-year-old Corey Stockburger was caught selling alcohol to a minor on April 18th. On April 18th, around 5:01 p.m., TNABC agents conducted a compliance check at Mr. Whiskers Wine and Liquors on White Bridge Pike with a 20-year-old individual to whom Stockburger sold an alcoholic beverage after checking their license. Stockburger was then cited for the incident that day. Stockburger was later booked on the citation of selling alcohol to a minor on May 7th.

Desmond Pearson hits parked cars at East Recreation Center

19-year-old Desmond Pearson hit two parked vehicles while leaving East Recreation Center with his little brother on the afternoon of December 27th, 2023. Pearson told officers he was driving around the circle of the center, where he touched the gas pedal, and the car “took off from him.” Officers then discovered he did not have a driver’s license and cited him for the incident. Then, Pearson was booked on the citation of not having a driver’s license on May 7th, 2024.

Miguel Garcia steals Ford F-150 Raptor, tells police “his friend gave him the truck”

30-year-old Miguel Garcia was caught stealing a vehicle on May 5th near an intersection On Korean Veterans Boulevard and Hermitage Avenue. Officers responded to a motor vehicle theft report at a Middleton Street apartment residence, speaking with Robert Burnett. Burnett stated that his white Ford F150 was parked at the residence and that it was no longer there when he returned to the residence. Officers then confirmed that the vehicle was not towed and that the victim did not owe any money on the truck before putting a complete report on the vehicle and entering it as stolen. About an hour later, officers responding to an unrelated call noticed the vehicle at the intersection of Korean Veterans Boulevard and Hermitage Avenue. Officers immediately got behind the vehicle and confirmed the license plate before calling the helicopter and initiating a traffic stop. Officers performed a felony takedown and searched the car, finding two glass pipes with residue.
Officers then spoke with Garcia, who stated he was walking around with his friend when he and his friend walked over to Middleton Street. Garcia said his friend opened the door to the truck and got in the driver’s seat. Garcia also claimed that he believed the vehicle was his friend’s and that his friend gave him the truck to use for work. Garcia could not provide a name or description of the friend, and there was no one else with Garcia at the time of the traffic stop. Robert Burnett, the owner of the vehicle, arrived on the scene to recover the vehicle and searched through it, giving all of the items not belonging to him to officers. Burnett gave officers a black backpack that Garcia confirmed was his. The backpack contained marijuana, the vehicle’s registration, and boat keys. The vehicle was valued at more than $60,000. Officers discovered that Garcia did not have a valid driver’s license. Garcia was taken into custody and charged with Property theft, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without a license on May 6th.

Seth Russell steals $1000 worth of merchandise from Craft Vapor

23-year-old Seth Russell broke into Craft Vapor on Highway 70 South in the early hours of May 8th. A concerned citizen observed this, alerted the authorities that Russell was stealing vapes, and provided them with a description of him. Then, when they arrived, they noticed Russell in the parking lot behind the location, holding two large bags as they approached. The bags were filled with several boxes of vapes, jars of THC, and around 25 packs of Delta-8 gummies, totaling about $1,000. Officers investigated the store and discovered all the glass displays were broken; some had missing items, and others were just damaged. Russell had a flashlight in his backpack with marks on the hilt. Russell was then taken into custody for burglary, vandalism, and theft.

Austin Farrar beats fiancé with broomstick after he doesn’t call her

21-year-old Austin Farrar was caught after having a domestic incident with her fiancé, Christian Tyler, at their Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard residence on May 8th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Tyler, who stated that he and his fiancé had argued. Tyler noted the argument occurred because their power was turned off at their residence because he didn’t pay the bill. Tyler also informed officers that he received several messages from Farrar stating that she would severely hurt Tyler when he came home that night. Officers then noticed Tyler’s bruises and lacerations along his arm and head. Tyler stated that on May 6th, two days prior, he had returned home, and he and Farrar started arguing because he did not call Farrar when he said he would earlier. Tyler told officers that during the argument, Farrar struck him in the head with a broomstick, causing his injuries. Tyler stated after she hit him with the broomstick, Farrar struck him again with a chair in the arms and began choking him with both hands around his neck. Farrar was taken into custody on May 8th and was charged with harassment, domestic assault, and aggravated assault.

Hussein Jabbar robs man of $500 at gunpoint after painting his car tires

26-year-old Hussein Jabbar was taken into custody for aggravated robbery and two counts of violation of an order of protection on May 9th, 2024. On December 22nd, 2022, officers responded to the apartments on Ocala Drive, where they spoke with Ari Shukri, who stated that Jabbar robbed him. He then explained that Jabbar works on vehicles and was supposed to paint the wheels for his car. Shukri said that on December 16th, 2022, Jabbar dropped off the painted wheels, and he came outside to speak with him. Shukri said he turned away for a second, which is when Jabbar grabbed Shukri’s Glock 26 GEN 4 9mm from his waistband and pointed it at him. Shukri stated that Jabbar said he was “just playing around” but then proceeded to aim it at him and demand everything he had. Shukri said Jabbar took $500 from him and then fled in an unknown vehicle with Shukri’s gun and money.  

Then, Jabbar had a domestic incident with his ex-wife and mother of his son, Zainab Al-doori, at her Hickory Highlands Drive residence on December 25th, 2022. Al-doori advised that she and her son had an active order of protection against him, adding that he had come to her house and knocked on the front door, wanting to see his son. A witness recorded him inside the residence, showing him there for about 30-35 minutes before leaving. A warrant was then issued for his arrest.

On January 4th, 2023, detectives called Shukri and obtained Jabbar’s information. Shukri advised officers that Jabbar had family in Nashville, Tennessee, Memphis, Tennessee, and Arizona before providing them with Jabbar’s date of birth. Then, on February 8th, 2023, officers interviewed Shukri, and he told them he was very familiar with Jabbar and knew some of his family members. Shukri added that he had worked with Jabbar in the past and had seen him numerous times since late 2022. Then, Shukri identified Jabbar in a single-picture lineup. On February 9th, 2023, a warrant was issued for Jabbar’s arrest. Jabbar was later taken into custody and charged with two counts of protection order violation and aggravated robbery on May 9th, 2024.

Jaiari Dunaway assaults man at Ascend Federal Credit Union

31-year-old Jaiari Dunaway had an altercation with Keydrick Lorenzo Rose at the Ascend Federal Credit Union on Charlotte Avenue Pike on October 4th, 2021. The location provided officers with surveillance, showing Rose standing and utilizing the drive-through ATM when a blue vehicle drove up behind him. An unidentified male, later identified as Dunaway, exited the car and approached him. Dunaway struck Rose multiple times, causing him to fall onto the ground in front of Dunaway’s car. Dunaway kicked Rose at least once before he could get up and leave the scene. Then, Dunaway used the ATM and officers used the Information from his back transaction to identify him. A warrant was issued for his arrest on January 14th, 2022. Dunaway was later taken into custody for assault on May 8th, 2024.

Katelynn Fencl pours anti-freeze on ex-boyfriend during confrontation over narcotics

21-year-old Katelynn Fencl had a domestic altercation with her ex-boyfriend, Melvin Houston, in the parking lot of Iglesia Casa Del Alfarero around 3 p.m. on May 5th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Houston, who stated that earlier today, he was driving with Fencl when an argument ensued because she had narcotics with her. Houston said he was trying to pull over to let her out when she grabbed his right arm while he drove, leaving multiple abrasions. Then, he said he pulled into the Iglesia Casa Del Alfarero parking lot and started recording the incident on his phone. Fencl then poured multiple drinks over the front of his vehicle, causing damage, before opening a bottle of orange juice and pouring it inside his car. Houston added that she then grabbed a bottle of anti-freeze, poured it on him, and threw it at him after emptying it. Houston said she then chased him around in the parking lot while swinging her hands at him, grabbed his $4,800 camera from the backseat, and fled. Officers reviewed the footage and confirmed his statement. Fencl was then taken into custody for domestic assault, theft, and vandalism on May 8th.
