Charles Thomas jailed after assault of girlfriend, Dawn Rix; drags her down hallway

59-year-old Charles Thomas was involved in a domestic disturbance with his girlfriend, Dawn Rix, at Cooper Ter. on October 29th. Officers were dispatched to Sarah Marsolek’s, Rix’s neighbor, house and spoke with Rix, who stated that Thomas came over to her house to have a couple of beers, and they talked about where they were in terms of their relationship while he showered. Then, a verbal altercation ensued as Thomas began to make abusive comments toward Rix, and she threw a makeup bag over the shower curtain. Thomas exited the shower and pushed Rix from behind, causing her to fall forward into the living room while stating, “You don’t know who you’re fucking messing with.”

Thomas then reportedly grabbed Rix by the collar of her sweater and dragged her down the hallway before letting her go and getting dressed in the bathroom. Rix was picking coins that fell during the altercation and handed them to Thomas before he threw them at her while he stated, “Use this for your rent.” Rix was standing in the front doorway when Thomas told her, “If you don’t move, I’m going to punch you in the face.” Then, Thomas left for work as Rix went to Marsolek’s house. Officers observed injuries consistent with Rix’s story as Marsolek advised them that she called the police on her behalf. Thomas was arrested on October 30th for domestic assault.

Husband says wife Deborah Knowles “woke up and beat the shit out of me!”

31-year-old Deborah ‘Lowana’ Knowles reportedly got into a domestic dispute with her husband, Daniel Baseman, on October 30th. Baseman spoke with officers as they arrived and told them that his wife “got drunk and beat the shit out of me.” Officers were advised that an argument escalated when Knowles threw an object at Baseman before walking up and punching him four to five times in the face. Then, Baseman went to their bedroom to get away, but Knowles followed and continued to punch him before he punched back in self-defense and walked to his car to get away. Officers located Knowles down the road from the scene and noticed she was visibly intoxicated and unable to answer their questions. Knowles began to be resistive when placed under arrest and was taken into custody for public intoxication, domestic assault, and resisting arrest.

DUI: Meagan Playford crashes car into “concrete pit” at construction site

25-year-old Meagan Playford was jailed early Tuesday morning after wrecking her vehicle in a construction lot, landing in a “concrete pit.” When officers made contact with Playford, she smelled strongly of alcohol and was crying hysterically. Ms. Playford stated that she had been waiting outside for officers for over an hour. She was confused and very talkative, admitting to having a couple of drinks earlier that evening. She performed poorly on sobriety tests and blew a .118% on the breathalyzer. She was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

Ian Brockway spits on an officer, threatens to find his home and “beat his ass,” per report

33-year-old Ian Brockway was jailed Tuesday night after his girlfriend reported that he wanted to kill himself due to their breakup. Ms. Thomas advised the police that Brockway had left the house with a knife. Police noted that they had multiple units looking for Brockway, but he was nowhere to be found. During the search, Brockway was still sending Ms. Thomas text messages about harming himself. He was finally found on the other side of a fence behind the residence. He was extremely intoxicated and refused to prove that he didn’t have any weapons by continuing to walk away toward the house. As officers attempted to place Brockway into cuffs, he pulled away until he was finally cuffed and walked to the patrol car, where he spat on Officer Edmund. While in booking, he told Officer Edmund that he would “find out where he lived and beat his ass.”

Feras Shoukeir charged in assault of wife after she refuses to have sex with him

43-year-old TSU professor Feras Shoukeir was jailed Monday after assaulting his wife when she reportedly refused to have sex with him. Layale Ajamy told police that Shoukeir walked into her bedroom and asked to have sex with her, but she refused because she had filed for divorce weeks earlier. She stated he hit her in her left arm and shoulder area, pushed her to the floor, and pulled her by her hair. She then went outside to the backyard and called her sister until she finally left the house after several more minutes of arguing and drove to Hermitage Library for assistance. She waited in her car until officers arrived and obtained an Order Of Protection. A warrant was issued for Shoukeir’s arrest.

Musician Paige Christine Brumm “hammer punches” bouncer on head on Broadway

22-year-old “Paige Christine” Brumm was booked on October 27th for a citation issued on October 5th regarding an assault at Honkytonk Central in downtown Nashville. On 10/5, officers spoke with George Kerhoulas, an Honkytonk Central employee, who stated that Brumm became upset when he told her to throw her drinks away when exiting the club, and she struck him on the top of his head with a “hammer fist” as people exited the bar. Jullianou Palermo, another staff member, also witnessed the assault.

Bryon Kirkpatrick jailed after threatening to shoot up a business; reports wife missing

28-year-old Bryon Thomas Kirkpatrick contacted police wanting to report his girlfriend missing on October 28. Officers were assisting Kirkpatrick when he told them that he was going to get his firearm to shoot up an unrelated establishment as he was visibly intoxicated. Kirkpatrick went to numerous officers to report the same crime, but officers were advised that Kirkpatrick’s girlfriend was at home. Kirkpatrick was taken into custody for public intoxication due to his inability to care for himself.

Rocco Cipriano pushes woman to the ground during attack & holds her down

29-year-old Nicolas “Rocco” Cipriano was involved in a domestic disturbance with Hayley Murphy at Morris Apartments on October 30th. Officers were dispatched and observed Murphy crying on the ground, being comforted by a friend, Mr. Michael Ward Leverrier, when they arrived. Leverrier told officers that he heard Murphy and Cipriano screaming at each other and observed him holding her down on the ground. Then, Leverrier stated he stopped Cipriano from hurting Murphy and told him to walk home due to his level of anger and intoxication. Cipriano let Murphy up after Leverrier told him to calm down. Cipriano was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.
