Woman assaulted by Florida tourist in reported rape attempt; He’s jailed for 153 minutes before pre-trial release — Patrick Schiebel

As a young woman walked alone in Midtown late Monday evening, she says a man began to “cat all” her, and as she continued past him she says he firmly grabbed her arm. As she began to fight back, he reportedly told her he was going to rape her. She was able to break away from the man, identified as 30-year-old Patrick Schiebel, and flee to a nearby apartment building with a visible concierge who let her inside and called 911. Metro Nashville Police officers located the man but refused to charge him themselves since they didn’t witness it. MNPD escorted the victim to night court, where a magistrate signed a simple assault private prosecution warrant. The tourist was jailed for 153 minutes before being given pre-trial release and set free, despite a magistrate setting his bond at $10,000.

Musician arrested after being too intoxicated for rock concert at Ascend Amphitheater — Scott Garbutt

60-year-old musician Scott Garbutt was denied entry to a concert in Nashville this weekend for being too intoxicated prior to the show. He became aggressive with the staff and was charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and criminal trespass at Ascend Amphitheater. At some point during booking, his hairpiece also failed to appear. He is free on pre-trial release.

“Finger gun” threats: Taxi Driver charged with assault after musician David Pomeroy says he ‘felt threatened’

Nashville musician David Pomeroy says he noticed an “illegal taxi cab” parked in the “loading zone used for musicians” near 4th & Broadway in downtown Nashville in late July. He took it upon himself to approach this taxi driver and demanded he move, immediately. The driver, 47-year-old Hashim Wachamo, reportedly pointed his “finger guns” at Pomery, in a manner he described as “very aggressive” while allegedly saying he was going to “shoot… and get you”. Pomeroy says he felt threatened, and eventually went to see a judicial magistrate two weeks later, who then signed a private prosecution warrant for assault. Wachamo was booked on the outstanding warrant over the weekend, at which time a magistrate released him on his own recognizance.

Intoxicated man destroys musician’s car in downtown Nashville — Michael Strini visits music city

24-year-old Michael Strini was found in Downtown Nashville late Saturday night inside a car that didn’t belong to him, which he had destroyed by smashing the windshield, driver’s window, and mirror. Police say he was sweating profusely on a cool, rainy night, and left multiple dents and bloody body prints on the vehicle. He told police he had been “drinking heavily”, and later posted a $2,000 cash bond. Strini recently moved to Spring Hill, TN, where he noted on social media he was “visiting Nashville for a few months”.

Brawling Bros arrested after Broadway tussle — Travis Santos & Di’on King

20-year-old Di’on Lovell King of Nashville, and 32-year-old Travis Chas Santos, of Oakley, California, brawled on Broadway in September. Both parties were arrested by Metro Nashville Police. While it was unsure who started the initial argument, King claims Santos “walked up on him”. Officers had to pull Santos off of King. Both were charged with disorderly conduct. Neither party sought assault charges on the other.

Man high and “in his own reality” charged with public intoxication in downtown Nashville — Adam Green

Police found 40-year-old Adam Green “laying on the ground rolling around and punching the air” while investigating a report of someone exposing themselves to people downtown. He explained he had been “practicing martial arts and fell over” onto the ground. When asked if he had been exposing himself, he explained that he wasn’t all there and did not mean to do so, adding that he was high on marijuana, and police note he “seemed to be in his own reality”. He was charged with public intoxication and transported to jail.

Tourist charged with slapping girlfriend in face in downtown Nashville — Anthony Waldner #VisitMusicCity

21-year-old Missouri tourist Anthony ‘Tony’ Waldner was booked into the Metro Nashville jail this weekend, charged with the assault of his girlfriend, Kaelyn Rawie. The two were reportedly drinking during the evening, and once back at their hotel after a concert at Ascend Amphitheater Thursday night, and he slapped her in the face, causing an injury to her lip. Waldner is free on a $1,000 cash bond, charged with simple assault (not domestic assault, according to court records).
