New York’s Salvatore Cerniglia charged with assault of his girlfriend in downtown Nashville

42-year-old New York tourist Salvatore Cerniglia was arguing with his girlfriend, Jennifer Sackowski, in front of the Apple store in downtown Nashville Sunday when a bystander attempted to separate the couple as things escalated. Salvatore then reportedly grabbed his girlfriend and punched her with two fists. Officers arrived, and the couple stated, “nothing happened,” and they just wanted to go home. Salvatore was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

DUI: Joey Gosnell crashes after drinking “eight beers” prior to driving

60-year-old Joey Gosnell told police he consumed eight beers before crashing his vehicle on Cooper Lane in the early hours of Sunday morning. The vehicle came to rest in a deep ditch, and Nashville Fire had to cut out the front windshield to extract Gosnell from the vehicle. He stated he was leaving Waffle House after drinking earlier in the night and was on his way home when he swerved to avoid a deer in the road. He then acknowledged he had made a mistake and repeatedly stated he was guilty.

William Appleberry jailed after fight at Jason Aldean’s bar in downtown Nashville

24-year-old William Appleberry was involved in a physical fight on the upper level of Jason Aldean’s bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville late Saturday night. Security Staff escorted him out of the bar, and Metro Nashville Police Officers met them at the door, where he was being combative. He fought with officers and resisted arrest, trying to free his arms and legs as he was being detained and cuffed. He was eventually taken to the ground and taken into custody.

Kim William charged with DUI after crashing into a tree at campgrounds on Stewarts Ferry Pike

42-year-old Kim William is charged with driving under the influence after crashing his black Ford F-150 into a tree on Stewarts Ferry Pike early Sunday morning. First responders treated his minor cuts and bruises, and police say he was visibly intoxicated and had trouble walking with medics. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and explained he was dropping his friend off at the campgrounds, but was unable to speak on how much alcohol he had to drink.

Michael Sealy charged with public intoxication after injuring himself at Honky Tonk Central in downtown Nashville

35-year-old Michael Sealy reportedly fell and injured himself at Honky Tonk Central Saturday night, leaving him with a small laceration to the back of his head. Medics arrived to assist him, but he refused all medical treatment and transportation. Unable to leave him by himself due to his extreme level of intoxication, Sealy was taken into custody by police and charged with public intoxication. 

Deandra Cannon jailed after boating under the influence on Percy Priest Lake

24-year-old Deandra Cannon was jailed late Saturday night in the Seven Points area of Percy Priest Lake after she was observed operating a red and white vessel without the proper navigation lights required after sunset. Once TWRA Agents Ethan Davis and Collin Jones stopped the vessel, they noticed Cannon was visibly intoxicated as she attempted to retrieve the required safety equipment. She reportedly reeked of alcohol, and officers observed multiple empty alcoholic containers aboard the vessel. She admitted to drinking and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She was transported to booking and charged with BUI.

Jackson Vroon charged with BUI on Percy Priest Lake Sunday after crossing into the path of a TWRA boat

24-year-old Jackson Vroon was jailed Sunday evening after police say he was carelessly operating a boat while intoxicated. While on Percy Priest Lake, TWRA Officer Joshua Landrum says Vroon’s boat came into his path of travel as Vroon was not keeping a proper lookout. He also immediately noticed the registration number was not displayed properly on the vessel. Upon stopping the boat, an alcoholic beverage was observed at the Vroon’s feet, and he reeked of alcohol. When asked to retrieve various safety equipment items, he was slow to move about the boat and admitted to consuming “a couple of beers.” He then performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with boating under the influence (BUI).

Stefon Bristol charged with DUI after nearly crashing a U-Haul at 90 mph on the interstate

24-year-old Stefon Bristol was driving a U-Haul truck at 90 mph on I-40 E late Friday night when he almost flipped it on a curve, according to THP Troopers. A traffic stop was eventually conducted, where Bristol was visibly intoxicated. Inside the vehicle was a nearly empty bottle of whisky that Bristol denied was his. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and eventually admitted he was driving home from a bar.

Tourist Tyler Vandermartin jailed after wild night at Tootsie’s in downtown Nashville

25-year-old Tyler Vandermartin of Pennsylvania was jailed in Nashville late Friday night on nearly a half-dozen charges after assaulting staff at Tootsie’s Bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville. He had been asked to leave due to his disruptive behavior. As he was being escorted out, he began to lunge at the bouncers, causing them to be in fear of imminent bodily injury, according to police. As he was being turned over to Metro Nashville Police, he attempted to kick the officers multiple times during his arrest and search of his person. He was visibly intoxicated and a general annoyance to the general public.

Murfreesboro Man charged with BUI on Percy Priest Lake — Gary Patterson

60-year-old Gary Patterson was operating a boat on Percy Priest Lake late Saturday night with its docking lights on. This attracted the attention of TWRA Agent Joshua Landrum, who stopped the vessel. He immediately observed a Michelob Ultra in a cup holder by the driver’s console, and he noticed that Patterson was visibly intoxicated. Patterson stated they had been eating and listening to music at Elm Hill Marina and were en route back to Fate Sanders Marina. He admitted to “having a couple” of alcoholic drinks and then performed poorly on field sobriety tests.
