60-year-old Joey Gosnell told police he consumed eight beers before crashing his vehicle on Cooper Lane in the early hours of Sunday morning. The vehicle came to rest in a deep ditch, and Nashville Fire had to cut out the front windshield to extract Gosnell from the vehicle. He stated he was leaving Waffle House after drinking earlier in the night and was on his way home when he swerved to avoid a deer in the road. He then acknowledged he had made a mistake and repeatedly stated he was guilty.

Joey W. Gosnell of McGinnis Dr in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on June 25th, charged with driving under the influence and implied consent violation. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $1,000, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
