Jared Coleman-Jones found with drugs near Barstool Sports in downtown Nashville

22-year-old Jared Coleman-Jones and a group of people scattered when they saw police approach them on 2nd Ave close to Barstool Sports Bar. Police were alerted by a man who said he used to be prior law enforcement and saw four or five guys selling cocaine out of a bag. Police approached the men in a parking lot next to Barstool Sports Bar, but they all ran after recognizing the officers. Jared was caught on Broadway and 4th Ave. He tried to run and resisted arrest. After he was taken to the ground and handcuffed, police found a plastic bag of marijuana on his person. Jared admitted to the marijuana being his.

Arturo Bolan kicks down door, assaults wife’s juvenile brother

21-year-old Arturo Bolan fought his wife’s juvenile brother when he stepped between the married couple’s argument. Arturo’s wife, Jenelli Amaya De Cubias, told police that she and he had argued earlier when they arrived at her family’s house on March 21st. She said that they were loud enough, despite being in her room, to wake the whole family. During the argument, Arturo became aggressive, and her juvenile brother stepped between her and Arturo. When the juvenile did this, Arturo and him got into a physical altercation. The juvenile and Jenelli told Arturo to leave and locked the door behind him. Moments later, they said they showed up at the residence, kicked the door down, and entered again. Arturo then tried to punch and confront the Juvenile but fled before the police arrived. The family all confirmed that Arturo does not live at the residence. Jenelli told police that she did not wish to prosecute, but police observed clear signs of forced entry, so a warrant was issued against Arturo for aggravated burglary. He was booked on August 13th.

Megan Roberts charged after her child was found in the street while she slept all day

29-year-old Megan Roberts slept for eight hours on July 20th and awoke to her 3-year-old daughter missing at 2:30 p.m. When she noticed that her daughter was missing, she called the police and had the neighborhood search for the juvenile. During the search, one of the neighbors yelled out of her door that the juvenile was in her home. She said she saw the child in the street 3 hours earlier, brought her into her house, fed her, and changed her clothes. The juvenile was inside the neighbor’s home for several hours before Megan noticed the missing child.

Security Guard Stephen Patterson jailed for making improper ‘arrest,’ breaking into man’s home

22-year-old Stephen Patterson, a fully licensed security guard since September 2022 at Avana South Oaks apartment complex, “arrested” a man for DUI. Police responded to the apartment complex and spoke to Stephen, the security guard. He said he saw a car driving erratically in the parking lot and placed a man under arrest for DUI, awaiting police. Jose Balan was the passenger in the vehicle who told police that he saw Stephen pull up behind the vehicle he was riding in, and Stephen spoke to the driver. At this time, Jose exited the vehicle to go to his apartment in the complex to go to bed. Stephen followed him and kept the door from being closed behind Jose. At this time, Stephen entered the residence and tackled Jose in his own home. Jose was handcuffed and taken to Stephen’s security vehicle to wait for the police. During the incident, Jose admitted to intoxication but did not drive and had a designated driver. He also told police that Stephen tackling him caused him great pain in his back. MNPD officers responded to Stephen’s 911 call and took Stephen into custody, as his actions were inappropriate and illegal. He was charged with aggravated burglary, assault, and falls imprisonment.

Street Racer Micah Hooker jailed on rioting charges after weekend meetup

21-year-old Micah Hooker was one of two people charged this weekend as Metro police work to crack down on street racing across Nashville. Metro police reported Micah Hooker, and his passenger Bailee Nelson, sped away from a meet-up at a commercial parking lot on Corporate Drive Saturday night. Street racers reportedly practiced burnouts and other maneuvers in the Corporate Drive parking lot. A Metro helicopter crew tracked Hooker and Nelson as they drove a 2020 green Dodge Challenger, and Hooker turned his lights off in an unsuccessful effort to avoid officers. Hooker reportedly almost hit two other motorists head-on. Hooker made a brief stop, and Officer Hausman came up on the rear of the vehicle, which made Hooker turn his lights off again and flee. Officers eventually stopped Hooker and Nelson at the intersection of Hamilton Church Road and Hobson Pike. He was arrested and charged with felony reckless endangerment, felony evading arrest, driving on a suspended license, criminal trespassing, and rioting due to the dangerous vehicle maneuvers on Corporate Drive. Hooker and Nelson are the latest to be charged amid Metro police’s continuing street racer enforcement effort.

Bailee Nelson jailed on riot charge after involvement in street racing meetup in Nashville

She said she did not know it was stolen because it was her sister’s pistol. Nelson told police that her sister bought it from Kings Firearms in Columbia. Hooker and Nelson are the latest to be charged amid Metro police’s continuing street racer enforcement effort.

Richard Erpelding knocks man unconscious in downtown fight; victim requires brain surgery

24-year-old Michigan tourist Richard Erpelding knocked a man unconscious during a fight at 1st & Broadway early Sunday morning. Erpelding reportedly was hitting on a female member of another group when one of her friends told him to stop and may have pushed him. Witnesses say Erpelding then punched the victim, Christopher Thompson, knocking him unconscious. He was transported to the hospital and had not regained consciousness at the time of the report. Doctors report he would have to have surgery due to an injury to his brain. 

Rebekah Dale charged with underage alcohol sales to a minor at White Bison Coffee

A TABC agent saw 19-year-old Rebekah Dale sell wine to a minor at Centennial Blvd’s White Bison Coffee on July 11th. She was witnessed by Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission Special Agent Tomberlin checking the minor’s identification card and then handing them a pint can of Seven Daughters Pinot Noir Wine. Rebekah was very cooperative and told police she was a full-time student at Tennessee State University. Also, she told police that she had only been working at White Bison Coffee for four days and had no formal training.

Andrew Gifford — high on marijuana, emotional, and crying, during DUI arrest

26-year-old Andrew Gifford was standing outside his gold Ford Taurus on Whites Creek Pike Sunday when officers stopped to assist him with his broken-down vehicle. He was “emotional and crying” when officers arrived, and they assisted him in fixing the batter connection. He volunteered he had smoked marijuana earlier, but officers did not immediately believe him to be too intoxicated to drive, and he was allowed to drive away and continue about his journey. Officers were traveling behind him a short distance down the road when he began to swerve and crossed both lines several times. A traffic stop was conducted, and Gifford was once again having emotional swings, from calm to angry, to crying, repeatedly. He was placed into the patrol car, where he fell asleep. He was taken into custody and charged with DUI. A blood draw was conducted at Metro General Hospital.

Michael Walling jailed after fighting at Red Door Saloon in Nashville

24-year-old Michael Walling was involved in a fight in front of Red Door Saloon in downtown Nashville early Sunday morning. While officers attempted to separate the individual, Walling ended up on top of one of the other involved parties. Both individuals were extremely intoxicated and created a nuisance in the area. Both individuals were taken into custody. Michael had a laceration on his head and was cleared by medics.
