Alandris Griffin snatches 3-year-old child from baby-daddy’s home despite not having custody

35-year-old Alandris Griffin was taken into custody for custodial interference on May 10th. On May 1st, Griffin had gone to the father of her 3-year-old non-custodial son’s Seasons Drive residence while he and his grandmother were there. When the grandma answered the door, Griffin’s non-custodial son followed her. This was when Griffin grabbed and put him in her vehicle and left, presumably returning to Georgia, where she resides. The home has a video camera that captures Griffin snatching her non-custodial child and running away from the residence. The custody paperwork was verified through the Davidson County Juvenile Court and showed that the father has full custody. A warrant was issued for her arrest.  

Mariam Wasfi Galy assaults grandfather

18-year-old Mariam Wasfi Galy had a domestic incident with her grandfather, Esmat Melek Botros, at his Patricia Drive residence late May 10th. Officers were dispatched to Galy’s home on Kipling Drive, where she told them she had gone to her grandfather’s after being told he was dying. Once she arrived, her entire family was there, so she decided to leave, which was when her grandfather grabbed her by her hair and neck before she pushed him and left the house to call the police.

Officers went to Patricia Drive to speak with Botros, who stated he was on the stairs when she was leaving and started to lose his balance, so he grabbed onto her, trying to stay up, but she pushed him down, which the other family members confirmed. He had an injury on the side of his head and his shoulder and scratches on his wrist and left leg. Galy was then taken into custody for domestic assault.

Courtney Norman points gun at herself to get ex-boyfriend’s attention during argument

44-year-old Courtney Norman had an altercation with her ex-boyfriend, Richard Thomas Holland IV, at his 20th Avenue South apartment on May 11th. A third party alerted the authorities, stating that Holland IV’s ex-girlfriend was inside his unit with a firearm. Upon arrival, officers interacted with Norman and found that she was not holding the gun, but it was underneath some pillows on the bed she was sitting on. Then, officers noticed a shell casing on the bed, which Norman admitted was from when she accidentally fired the weapon. Norman added that Holland IV attempted to grab the gun from her. Norman said she “did not remember,” pointing the gun at him, only holding it by her side and aiming it at herself for his attention.

Then, officers spoke with Holland IV, who said he was trying to get her to leave, which sparked an argument because she did not want to. Holland IV said he decided to leave instead, and when he returned, Norman demanded his phone. After he refused, he said she used her gun to “wave around” and threaten him until he gave it to her. Holland IV stated that she continued “acting overemotionally” and that he tried to grab her arm to get the gun from her. Holland IV said this caused the gun to discharge, causing him to run out of the room until the police arrived. Norman was taken into custody for aggravated assault.

Sarah Akbar stumbles around threatening neighbors after getting “highly intoxicated”

68-year-old Sarah Akbar caused a disturbance at the Edgefield Manor Apartments on Shelby Avenue in the afternoon of May 11th. Officers arrived and spoke to multiple people, who advised them that Akbar was “highly intoxicated,” behaving in a “disorderly manner,” and threatening them. Officers located Akbar, who was stumbling around, making nonsensical statements, and having trouble standing up. Witnesses told the police that Akbar is known to get intoxicated and harass them often. Akbar was deemed unable to care for herself and was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Darren Clark fights employee at The Stage on Broadway for throwing away his drinks

53-year-old Darren John Clark had an altercation with Benjamin Hayden Stewart while working at The Stage on Broadway late May 11th. Security at the establishment separated them before officers arrived. Clark told officers he had two drinks by the stairs, and when he turned around, Stewart threw them away. This prompted Clark to follow and confront Stewart, which led to a scuffle, where he punched Stewart in the face, leaving visible injuries. Stewart provided officers with a similar statement before advising them that he wanted to prosecute for the attack. Clark was taken into custody for assault on May 12th.

DUI: Timothy Winn found passed out drunk in his car near Logan’s Roadhouse

30-year-old Timothy Winn was observed sleeping in the driver’s seat with his engine running near the Gallatin Pike North Logan’s Roadhouse around 4:08 a.m. on May 12th. Then, officers conducted a “vehicle block,” during which Winn had woken up and complied with their instructions to exit his car. Winn admitted to police he had almost two cups of bourbon earlier in the night. During their interaction, officers noticed he reeked of marijuana and alcohol, so they prompted Winn with sobriety tests. Winn then performed poorly on tests, showing signs of impairment. Officers also located a half-smoked blunt of marijuana and a glass pipe with residue. After being read implied consent, Winn agreed to provide a blood sample and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence on May 12th.

Dennis Flerlage assaults father during altercation, leaves him with multiple bloody scrapes

25-year-old Dennis Flerlage had a domestic incident with his father, Kenneth Flerlage, at their residence in the early hours of May 11th. Dennis told officers that he was intoxicated and had gotten into an argument with his father. Then, officers spoke with Kenneth, who had bloody scrapes on his neck, ear, and head as he stated that Dennis had become upset for unknown reasons, and when he went to calm him down, a scuffle ensued. Dennis’s sister, Samantha Flerlage, told officers that Kenneth did not have his injuries before speaking with him. Dennis Flerlage was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Brett Peterson threatens guests with handgun outside Hallmark Inn

31-year-old Brett Shannon Peterson pointed a gun at a group of guests, including Donavin Levor Moyd, outside of the West Trinity Lane Hallmark Inn late May 10th. The initial caller described a white male, later identified as Peterson, with a mustache, wearing a gray tank top, who had driven away in a turquoise F-150 STX. When officers arrived, Moyd advised them that Peterson had circled the parking lot a few times before aiming his handgun at them, adding that the gun was a semi-automatic with a wooden grip and a black barrel. Then, witnesses told them the truck was blue and had a brown toolbox in the bed. While officers were investigating, a witness pointed out the F-150 driving eastbound on West Trinity Lane. Officers followed Peterson, during which he ran a red light near Brick Church Pike and Ewing Drive before pulling into Citgo, where officers initiated a stop. When officers approached him, they noticed he matched the description provided by witnesses and located the handgun on his dashboard. Then, officers performed a “show-up,” where Moyd and a witness identified Peterson. Later, officers found footage of the occurrence, which showed Peterson in a blue truck, pointing the gun at the crowd, causing them to flee. While officers were speaking with Peterson, he reeked of alcohol and showed multiple signs of intoxication. Officers tried to prompt him with sobriety tests, but he could not finish due to him being handcuffed. Peterson refused to provide a chemical sample and was then taken into custody for an implied consent violation, driving under the influence, weapon possession while being under the influence, and aggravated assault.

Lori Woolbright poops herself in police car after repeatedly telling officers she had to “poopy”

54-year-old Lori Lynn Woolbright caused a disturbance at LaQuinta Inn & Suites on Interstate Drive late May 10th. When the police arrived, she was behaving erratically toward them and the hotel employees as she told them that her boyfriend had stolen all her belongings. They investigated and discovered that she had lost her property. Woolbright had a strong alcoholic odor emitting from her, showing numerous signs of intoxication, so they tried to get her to stay in her room. However, she refused. Then, she was detained due to being a public annoyance. While in the patrol car, she kicked the rear right window, causing it to get off-track. Then, on the way to booking, she repeatedly stated she had to “poopy.” When officers told Woolbright they were just down the road, she had already defecated herself, leaving remnants in the backseat. While she was being processed, she sat down on the bench inside the sallyport and left feces on it. Woolbright was taken into custody for two counts of vandalism of government property and public intoxication.

Mayram Asaad screams & cries after losing her phone while drunk near US Bank Courtyard

18-year-old Mayram Asaad was observed screaming for help by a concerned citizen near the US Bank courtyard around 3:45 a.m. on May 12th.  When officers arrived, they located Asaad, who was “obviously intoxicated” as she cried and yelled about losing her phone. Then, officers gave her a chance to leave with a friend, but she refused and continued to cause a public disturbance. Asaad reeked of alcohol and displayed signs of impairment. Asaad was taken into custody for public intoxication and underage consumption of alcohol.
