DUI: Antonio Fort has one drink before falling asleep while driving

41-year-old Antonio Lamont Fort was involved in a single-car accident at Elm Hill Pike and Wanda Drive intersection in the late hours of November 17th. Officers arrived and observed the Nashville Fire Department and EMS working to remove Fort from the driver’s seat of his Chrysler 200sx, but he was unresponsive. Fort was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he told officers he was at Elm Hill Pike Tavern, had one drink, and fell asleep while driving home, resulting in the crash. Fort was taken into custody on December 8th, charged with driving under the influence.

DUI: Austin Goddard drives military truck into mailbox

47-year-old Austin Goddard backed an Army truck into the mailbox at Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge in the early hours of Monday.  He drove off without providing his information, returned, started an argument with employees, and then pulled off again. Officers observed the large military green truck and conducted an investigative stop. Goddard was visibly intoxicated when they approached but stated he only had one beer, insisting he was not under the influence. He consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and was taken into custody for driving under the influence, vandalism, and leaving the scene of an accident.

DUI: Jonathan Murray drives on wrong side of the road

30-year-old Jonathan Murray was driving the wrong way on Robinson Road toward Madison in the early hours of December 10th. A citizen noticed this, stopped Murray, and removed him from the vehicle to sit on the grass as he called the ambulance. Murray’s car had damage to the bumper and a flat tire. Medics arrived and placed him in the back of the ambulance, where officers noticed him to be visibly intoxicated. They questioned him as he admitted to driving from a hotel in the gulch and having two shots of alcohol. Officers located a nearly empty drink can in Murray’s cupholder and a six-pack of Heineken with three beers left in the backseat. Murray was transported to the hospital and medically cleared in less than thirty minutes. He refused to take sobriety tests and was read implied consent. Murray was taken into custody for driving under the influence, open container violation, and implied consent.

DUI: Emily Trenthem too drunk to perform sobriety tests

25-year-old Emily Trenthem refused to receive any help from EMS at 51st Avenue North on December 7th. When officers arrived, they were greeted by Trenthem sitting in her car, which was running. When asked by the officers, Trenthem tried to get out of her car but was stumbling all over herself and seemed heavily inebriated. Trenthem said that she had told EMS multiple times that she was drunk. So, officers attempted to get her to perform field sobriety tests, but Trenthem was unable to stand up to complete any, so they deemed the tests unsafe. She refused to use the breathalyzer and draw blood, so she was taken into custody. While in custody, she repeatedly asked to go home and slipped her hand out of the handcuffs multiple times. Trenthem was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence and implied consent.

DUI: Elyse Kimmel crashes Subaru Forrester driving home from club

30-year-old Elyse Nicole Kimmel was involved in a car accident at the intersection of Lafayette and 2nd Avenue South in the early hours of December 8th. Officers arrived and spoke with Kimmel, who advised she was the driver of the white Subaru Forrester, that she was driving her mom and friend home, and that she was unaware of how the accident happened. Kimmel was visibly intoxicated, refused to take sobriety tests, and was read implied consent. She was taken into custody for driving under the influence and implied consent.

DUI: Annie Sitlinger drinks at work before causing crash

20-year-old Annie Sitlinger was involved in a car accident on December 7th. Officers arrived and spoke with Sitlinger, who was visibly intoxicated and admitted to drinking at work. She stated that she fell asleep behind the wheel, consented to sobriety tests, and performed poorly. Officers Mirandized her, and she was taken into custody for driving under the influence and implied consent.

DUI: Demetrice Adams drunkenly swerves around driving Shuttle Bus

35-year-old Demetrice Daniell Adams was swerving while operating a shuttle bus on 1 Terminal Drive on December 6th. Officers received calls regarding this, located the bus, and observed Adams failing to maintain his travel lane. Adams reached his destination, spoke with officers, and was visibly intoxicated. He consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

DUI: Staci Kirpach causes accident in Cook Out drive-thru

40-year-old Staci Kirpach was jailed on December 6th after causing a crash in the drive-thru of Cook Out on Gallatin Pike. Police observed Kirpach in the driver’s seat with bloodshot eyes waiting in the drive-thru. She smelled strongly of alcohol and slurred heavily as she spoke with the officers. After performing poorly on sobriety tests, she was placed into custody and transported to booking.

DUI: 18-year-old Jameson Hayes drinks “two bottles of fireball” before crashing into several vehicles

18-year-old Jameson Decker Hayes crashed into several parked vehicles on 16th Avenue South in the early hours of December 7th. Hayes was in the back of the ambulance, refusing medical treatment, when the officers arrived. Officers asked him what had happened, and he told them he had fallen asleep while driving. Hayes was visibly intoxicated but denied drinking any alcohol, stating the two empty fireball containers inside his truck were old. Hayes consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and was taken into custody for driving under the influence and implied consent.

DUI: Liset Quesada Mendoza speeds down Charlotte Pike in BMW

32-year-old Liset Quesada Mendoza was speeding on Charlotte Pike in the early hours of December 2nd. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop. The BMW stopped in the roadway, and passenger princess Robert Koch stepped out of the car and approached officers aggressively, so he was detained. Then, officers spoke with Mendoza, who was visibly intoxicated and admitted to speeding and consuming alcohol. Mendoza refused to do sobriety tests, sign implied consent, or provide any information regarding her identity. Officers located her passport in her purse and were able to identify her. Mendoza was taken into custody for driving under the influence, implied consent, and not having a driver’s license.
