25-year-old Emily Trenthem refused to receive any help from EMS at 51st Avenue North on December 7th. When officers arrived, they were greeted by Trenthem sitting in her car, which was running. When asked by the officers, Trenthem tried to get out of her car but was stumbling all over herself and seemed heavily inebriated. Trenthem said that she had told EMS multiple times that she was drunk. So, officers attempted to get her to perform field sobriety tests, but Trenthem was unable to stand up to complete any, so they deemed the tests unsafe. She refused to use the breathalyzer and draw blood, so she was taken into custody. While in custody, she repeatedly asked to go home and slipped her hand out of the handcuffs multiple times. Trenthem was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence and implied consent.
