Canadian Tourist Brady Atchison throws girlfriend & strangles her during altercation

34-year-old Brady Cameron Atchison had a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Keanna Babaei, at his 11th Street Avenue South Airbnb in the early hours of May 16th. Officers arrived and spoke with Babaei, who stated that Atchison “beat her up.” Babaei added that they had been on Broadway drinking at bars earlier in the evening. Babaei said they had an argument which led to them separating from each other. Then, later in the night, they met back up at his Airbnb, where Atchison hit her and threw her to the ground because she confronted him about texting other girls in front of her. Babaei said he strangled her for about a minute, hindering her breathing and leaving marks and discoloration on her neck. Afterward, Atchison threw her belongings out into the hallway, so she gathered them, went to the lobby, and called the police. When officers spoke with Atchison, he reeked of alcohol and refused to talk about the incident. Atchison was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for aggravated assault.

DUI: Mecca Johnson tells officers she “lost count” after drinking at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar

24-year-old Mecca Johnson was taken into custody for driving under the influence on May 11th. Officers arrived to back up another unit when they witnessed Johnson exit her vehicle and walk over to her cousin, who they were speaking with. They pulled her to the side and asked her “what was going on,” to which she said she was there to pick up her cousins. She reeked of alcohol and exhibited signs of inebriation. Officers asked Ms. Johnson how much she had to drink, and she replied that she didn’t know because she had lost count after drinking at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop bar. She took sobriety tests, performed poorly, and was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Manishkumar Kadiya refuses to leave the Greyhound bus station

37-year-old Manishkumar Kadiya refused to leave the Greyhound Bus Station on Representative John Lewis Way South late May 14th. Upon arrival, staff members pointed him out to officers, advising them that they told him to leave the premises, but he disregarded them. Officers explained to Kadiya that he would be charged with trespassing if he refused to leave the location. They escorted him off the property, and he told them he had nowhere to go, adding that he would return to the bus station once his bus was loading. Officers left and observed him walk back to the station and sit up against the wall on the outside. They confirmed that the location had an active trespass waiver on file. Kadiya was taken into custody for criminal trespass.

Leslie Samayoa drunkenly screams nonsense at police & guests at The Hyatt Place Hotel

27-year-old Leslie Liliana Samayoa caused a disturbance at The Hyatt Place Hotel on 3rd Avenue South in the early hours of May 11th. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the hotel staff, who advised them that Samayoa was “highly intoxicated” and had started filming them after refusing to leave. Officers located Samayoa sitting in the lobby, recording the employees on her phone, and asked her if they could help her. Officers also asked if Samayoa was staying at the location, to which she said she was, adding that the room was in her boyfriend’s name. Then, Samayoa repeatedly told officers to “look at the cameras” even when officers asked what they needed to be looking for. She made nonsensical statements during their interaction, saying, “The staff…I want them registered!” before admitting that she had three alcoholic drinks earlier in the night. Samayoa began yelling at the staff and guests walking by, stating, “Those people are out to get me!” Officers told her to calm down, but she continued screaming at random patrons as they entered the establishment. Officers then asked Samayoa’s boyfriend to come and help her to their room. When he arrived, Samayoa yelled at him, telling him to “Shut up!” and pushed him away. Samayoa was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

Ashley Rincon kicked out of The Omni Hotel for being too drunk after “3 shots of Casamigos”

35-year-old Ashley Mercedes Rincon caused a disturbance at The Omni Hotel on Representative John Lewis Way South in the early hours of May 8th. When officers arrived, they spoke with the hotel staff, who stated that Rincon was yelling at them and other guests, appearing highly intoxicated. Staff requested Rincon to be removed from the premises, advising that she was a guest and had caused too many issues. Officers located Rincon in the lobby, sitting on a couch, where she told them she had lost her phone. She reeked of alcohol and showed numerous signs of impairment before admitting to having “3 shots of Casamigos” earlier in the night. She did not have an alternate place to stay and was deemed unable to care for herself. Rincon was then taken into custody for public intoxication.

Shawn Warren caught with crack cocaine at Walk of Fame Park

46-year-old Shawn Allen Warren was lying near the cement bench area at The Walk of Fame Park on 4th Avenue South in the early hours of February 2nd. Officers patrolled the area and observed him looking down and shuffling through items. Then, when Warren saw the police, he moved his hand underneath a blanket he had wrapped around him. Officers approached and asked him what he had in his hands, to which he replied, “Nothing.” Officers then had Warren stand up, during which two small rocks, later identified as crack cocaine, fell from his lap. Warren was cited for the incident. Warren was booked on the citation of simple possession and criminal trespassing on April 22nd.

Robert Mcnaney kicked out of JW Marriot, too drunk to verify reservations

27-year-old Robert Trainor McNaney III was taken into custody for public intoxication on April 11th. A concerned citizen alerted the authorities, stating McNaney arrived at Courtyard Marriott and discovered his reservations were at JW Marriott. They called him an Uber to send him to the right hotel and called the police to check on him because he appeared to be highly impaired. Officers were dispatched to JW Marriot, where they spoke with the staff, who said they turned McNaney away after he could not verify his reservations. The police drove to the Westin Hotel on Clark Place and located McNaney with ripped shorts, exposing his underwear. The hotel employees told them they wanted him removed from the property. Officers went to assist McNaney, who told them he had stopped at a gas station “somewhere outside of Nashville” around 6 or 7 p.m., adding that was the last thing he had remembered after blacking out from drinking, losing his cell phone and wallet, and forgetting where he parked his car. They noticed he reeked of alcohol and asked if he had anybody who could pick him up or let him stay the night, but he was unable to provide any information. McNaney was deemed a danger to himself and was detained for the incident.

Sekori Jones Brown tells police “I’m drunk” after harassing people outside of Hard Rock Cafe

23-year-old Sekori Brown was seen harassing people outside Hard Rock Cafe on April 5th. When officers arrived, they made contact with Brown, who told them, “I’m drunk.” Security at the location informed officers that  Brown was trying to enter a stage that had just been set up. When officers made contact with Brown, they noticed a strong odor of alcohol. Officers told Brown to find a friend to pick him up. Instead of pulling out a cell phone to make the call, Brown pulled out a vape and acted as if he was entering numbers on it. After being told that his vape was not a phone, Brown was asked if he knew a number law enforcement could call, but he responded with, ” Brian… He’s in the catalog.” Officers deemed Brown a danger to himself, so he was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Matthew Winston trespasses at Greyhound Bus Station after being banned

25-year-old Matthew Colby Winston was taken into custody for criminal impersonation and criminal trespassing on April 3rd. Officers were dispatched to the Greyhound Bus Station on Representative John Lewis Way South. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the staff, who said they had kicked Winston out and banned him from the location earlier that night. Staff said Winston had snuck back inside at some point. Officers located him inside the bus station in the waiting area and detained him. Officers confirmed that Greyhound had a trespass waiver on file for Winston. Winston was taken into custody on April 3rd.

Michael Barton drinks fifth of tequila on Greyhound bus

30-year-old Michael Barton was jailed on March 21st for drinking on the Greyhound Bus. Police responded to the bus station on Rep John Lewis Way and found Barton already detained by security. The security guard told officers they had received a call from an inbound bus driver advising them that Barton had been drinking on the bus before arriving at the station. Security then observed Barton falling over and learned that he had drank a fifth of tequila. Barton slurred his words and struggled to speak to officers in coherent sentences. He could not stand without assistance and smelled strongly of alcohol. Officers then determined that with his level of intoxication, Barton posed a danger to himself and was taken into custody.
