Joshua Johnson caught with cocaine, tells police it helps “clear his nose.”

31-year-old Joshua Johnson was found inside a silver Ford SUV at 3rd Avenue South on March 9th. Officers observed the driver of the SUV crushing up a white powdery substance, so both he and Johnson were told to exit the vehicle. Officers conducted a probable cause search of the car and located a brown wooden box containing 10.8 grams of cocaine. Once Johnson was Mirandized, he admitted to owning the box but denied that there was any powder inside. While officers were further investigating, Johnson stated that the powder was “crushed ibuprofen” that he uses to help “clear his nose.” Multiple other drug instruments were located inside the brown wooden box, including a pipe and a digital scale. Joshua Johnson was charged with possession with intent and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and taken into custody on March 10th.

Gustavo Caal Mo assaults wife after accusing her of “talking to another man”

32-year-old Gustavo Caal Mo was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife, Angelina Hernandez, at their Highland on Briley apartment on March 9th. Officers arrived at the mentioned location and found Hernandez, who was inside an ambulance due to her injuries. Hernandez stated that Caal Mo got upset with her because he believed that she was “talking to another man.” Hernandez then said that during their dispute, Caal Mo punched her in the head, causing a laceration to her eyebrow. Before officers left the scene, they observed a man matching Caal Mo’s description inside a gray Toyota Corolla driving around the apartment complex. A traffic stop was conducted, and Caal Mo was taken into custody. Once Mirandized, Caal Mo admitted to hitting Hernandez in the head. There was also camera footage of the incident provided to law enforcement. Caal Mo was taken into custody on March 10th.

Marlon Alvarado-Sanchez threatens roommate with knife, tells him “I only fear God”

41-year-old Marlon Alvarado-Sanchez was involved in an altercation with his roommate, Carlos Cruz-Zuniga, at their shared residence at the Willow Apartments on March 9th. When officers arrived at the mentioned location, they made contact with Carlos. Carlos told officers that the altercation started because Marlon kept belittling him because he didn’t have money. Carlos stated that he tried to stand up for himself, but that was when Marlon got aggressive. The dispute escalated when Marlon pulled out a knife and tried to stab Carlos. Carlos stated that he was able to push him away but got a minor cut on his hand. He proceeded to run to his vehicle and call the police. While officers were talking to Carlos, Marlon sent him multiple voice and text messages on WhatsApp. In the messages, Marlon said, “If you’re a man you will have a knife fight with me until one of us dies. If you don’t kill me, you know what will happen. I only fear god. We’ll see each other again.” Officers made contact with Marlon at the original address, who was asleep in his room. Officers called the number that was sending messages to Carlos, and his phone rang. Marlon was taken into custody for aggravated assault on March 9th.

Kimbrasha Beard caught driving stolen Nissan Maxima

23-year-old Kimbrasha Beard was found in a stolen Maroon Nissan Maxima at the Kroger on Mt View Road on March 8th. Detectives located the Nissan Maxima at Hickory Club Drive, where they followed it until they arrived at the mentioned location. They observed Beard get out of the vehicle and enter the Kroger. When she exited, she was detained by the law enforcement on standby. Beard allowed detectives to unlock and run the VIN on the doorframe, which confirmed that the car was stolen.

Carlos Ayala kisses minor, father presses charges

23-year-old Carlos Ayala was involved in an altercation with Donato Donato at Premier Drive on March 9th. When officers made contact with Donato, he informed them that Ayala had kissed his juvenile daughter and asked her to be his girlfriend. Officers spoke to Ayala with the help of a Spanish-speaking officer, but he appeared visibly intoxicated. Ayala admitted that he was drunk and that he did kiss Donato’s daughter. Shortly after, he tried to explain to them that the kiss was not by force. However, Donato still wished to press charges on his daughter’s behalf.

Donald Reaves pushes security officer arresting his friend

40-year-old Donald Reaves, Regional Account Manager of Bridgestone Americas, was booked on a citation for an assault that occurred On January 28th. Officers responded to JW Marriott on 8th Avenue South and spoke with Christopher Lee Hardemon, a Marriott security officer, who advised them that he observed a male, Mr. Neil, go behind the bar and try to steal a glass of alcohol, so he detained him. Then, while speaking with Neil, Reaves came up from behind and shoved Hardemon, attempting to get him not to arrest his friend. Hardemon told them he wished to prosecute for the push and then provided them with footage confirming his statements. Reaves was cited for the incident.

DUI: Jordan Giron speeds 80mph down Murfreesboro Pike

51-year-old Jordan Giron was speeding, going 80 mph in a 50-mph zone near Murfreesboro Pike and Old Hickory Boulevard in the early hours of March 9th. When officers observed this, they initiated a traffic stop and noticed a holster for a handgun in the passenger’s seat as they approached Giron’s car. Officers ordered Giron to exit his vehicle, during which he stumbled. Giron showed multiple signs of intoxication, so officers asked him to take sobriety field tests. Giron consented and performed poorly on the sobriety tests. After being informed of implied consent and deemed too impaired to operate his car, Giron agreed to provide a blood sample. Giron was taken into custody for driving under the influence and speeding.

Jovan McClain assaults boyfriend during scuffle over money

27-year-old Jovan McClain had a domestic incident with her boyfriend, Okeno Dixon, at her Vista Lane residence on March 8th. When the officers arrived, they spoke with both parties. Both advised that they had an altercation earlier in the day and insisted it was strictly verbal. McClain further explained that Dixon was holding some money during this argument, and she tried to take it out of his hand because some of it was hers. However, when McClain went to grab the money, she struck Dixon on his back or shoulder. McClain stated after this, Dixon hit her in the face, which ended the scuffle. Despite Dixon claiming no physical interaction occurred, officers still deemed McClain the primary aggressor. McClain was taken into custody for domestic assault.

DUI: Dominic Rivera pops Adderall and drinks beer before driving with fully loaded pistol

25-year-old Dominic Rivera II failed to stop in his black 2016 Lexus at a posted stop sign near 51st Avenue and Indiana Avenue late March 8th. Officers observed this, conducted a traffic stop, and then noticed he reeked of alcohol as they approached the driver’s side to speak with him. They also saw two Coors Light’s, one empty, one a quarter-full, and a Hennessy bottle in the center console. Rivera II told them that he had taken some Adderall earlier in the day, and two hours later, he had two beers with his dinner. He consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and was informed of implied consent, which he refused. A search of his vehicle resulted in them locating a Glock Gen5 pistol with one in the chamber and a fully loaded magazine. Rivera was taken into custody for the possession of a handgun while under the influence, implied consent, and driving under the influence on March 9th.

Nicole Webb assaults husband for recording her

45-year-old Nicole Marie Webb was taken into custody for a domestic assault that occurred on February 29th. Thomas Cowman, while waiting for the divorce to finalize with Webb, went to the family safety center on March 1st to report the incident after returning from a business trip. He explained that he went to spend some time with his children, and then, when he was sleeping in bed, Webb became irate and started lashing out at him, hitting his head and scratching him. He grabbed his phone to record, but she snatched it from his hand and threw it. He tried to get away from her and eventually retreated to the bathroom, where she followed him and continued to hit him repeatedly until he got out of the room. He then got a camera to record her and waited until the police arrived. The next day, he went to report the encounter, where officers captured photos showing redness on his left arm, a scratch mark on his left forearm, bruising to his right forearm, and a scratch mark on his right hand.
