Geoffrey Shyatt drunkenly harasses bartender at Pushing Daisies on Broadway

40-year-old sports agent Geoffrey Shyatt was booked after drunkenly harassing the bartender at Pushing Daisies on Broadway on January 7th. Officers arrived on the scene and contacted Shyatt, who was in handcuffs. Shyatt had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and the odor of alcohol on his person. Officers were advised by Pushing Daisies staff that Shyatt was inside the bar, harassing the bartender, and was asked to leave. Once outside, Shyatt stayed in the area, insulting the employees and being a nuisance to the business. Officers asked Shyatt to get himself an Uber and leave. Shyatt began taking pictures and videos of police instead of booking an Uber. Officers determined that Shyatt could not care for himself and took him into custody.

DUI: Byron Maaz crashes car after drinking three Corona beers before driving

26-year-old Byron Maaz was jailed after crashing into a car late January 9th. When speaking with Maaz, officers learned he did not have a valid driver’s license or insurance on his vehicle. Maaz had a strong odor of alcohol on his person and had bloodshot eyes. Footage of the incident was found on a neighbor’s Ring doorbell, which showed Maaz crashing into the vehicle in front of him without slowing down. Maaz consented to sobriety tests and was unable to follow directions to finish the tests. Maaz admitted to drinking three Corona beers before driving. Officers then performed a probable cause search on his vehicle, finding multiple empty beer cans inside. Byron Maaz was taken into custody and charged with DUI, Driving without a license, and having no insurance.

Jaime Lopez Ramirez assaults wife after learning she cheated on him with his brother

31-year-old Jaime Lopez Ramirez was jailed on January 9th at his residence on Winthorne Drive after an argument with his wife became physical. Lopez Ramirez’s wife, Sandra Lopez Mazariegos, advised that she had gotten into an argument with her husband before police arrival. Sandra advised that Jaime got aggressive with her during the argument and began throwing items at her. She advised that Jaime then smacked her in the face. Sandra was crying and had redness on her face when speaking with officers. Officers noted she had no visible injuries. Sandra did not want to prosecute Jaime for the assault.

Officers then spoke with Jaime about the altercation. Jaime advised that he and Sandra had been arguing because he found out that she cheated on him with his brother. Jaime stated that he started throwing things at her because he was mad. He stated the items hit her but that he never slapped her in the face. There were other people in the apartment, but none knew what happened due to being in their rooms at the time. Officers determined Jaime to be the primary aggressor and are prosecuting on the victim’s behalf. Jaime Lopez Ramirez was taken into custody and charged with assault.

De’Sean Keys jailed after failing to appear on texting while driving citation

28-year-old De’Sean Keys was holding his cell phone in his hand and tapping on the screen while driving his 2012 Kia Sorento on April 12, 2023. He was observed by THP Trooper Matthew Priest, who conducted a traffic stop on I-65 South near mile marker 86. He was issued a state citation and ordered to appear in court in June and again in August. He failed to appear for a court date, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was booked into jail this week on the outstanding citation for texting while driving.

18-year-old Dayton Pennington drives stolen Nissan with another car’s tags attached via duct tape

18-year-old Dayton Pennington ran a red light at the Rivergate Parkway and Blue Boulevard intersection on the afternoon of June 27th, 2023. Officers observed this, conducted a traffic stop, and noticed Pennington had a learner’s permit with a licensed passenger under 21 years old. He was cited for the violation. Then, on December 29th, he was seen by officers on Myatt Drive driving a stolen Nissan sedan with temporary tags attached via duct tape that, when scanned, belonged to a red Ford Escape. While officers were running the tags, Pennington walked around the corner, trying to escape, but returned when officers told him to. When asked about the temporary tag, Pennington advised them that he knew the vehicle was stolen and that it was his friend’s. Then, he told them he was driving the Nissan from one parking spot to another and admitted to smoking marijuana in the car. Pennington consented to a search of the vehicle, where officers located two pipes and a jar of marijuana. The VIN was removed from the driver’s door and covered on the dashboard, but they confirmed that the Nissan was reported stolen on December 15th. Pennington was taken into custody for the theft of a vehicle and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia on December 30th. Additionally, he was charged for failing to book himself on the state citation for not having a license in June 2023.

Christyna Golden caught with a copious amount of different drugs

34-year-old Christyna Golden was jailed on January 4th after being caught in possession of copious amounts of drugs. Officers located a Toyota parked in the Dollar General parking lot on West Trinity Road with two overdosed occupants who had to be transported to the hospital. Christyna was found in the front passenger’s seat next to 22 Xanax pills, 5.9 grams of marijuana, 11 grams of crack, 6.6 grams of cocaine, four scales, three used pipes, and a couple hundred dollars. Christyna Golden was taken into custody and charged with two counts of felony possession of cocaine, two counts of possession/casual exchange, and drug paraphernalia.

18-year-old Jaymarion Brand jailed after sending police on high-speed chase

18-year-old Jaymarion Brand was jailed on January 4th after reports of individuals getting out of a silver car and pulling on car door handles in the area of Benay Road. Officers searched the area and observed an individual wearing all-black clothing, pulling on the handle of a parked car in a driveway on Riverbend Drive. The individual saw the marked police car and ran to a stationary silver Toyota in the center of Riverbend Drive, with the engine running and the lights cut off. Brand entered the passenger’s seat, and the vehicle turned its lights on and accelerated toward the police before turning away right before hitting them and getting off the road. A traffic stop was attempted, and the police decided not to pursue. Moments later, the vehicle was spotted speeding over 100mph on Briley Parkway before fleeing into an apartment complex on Elm Pike. The vehicle’s occupants ditched the car behind the complex and fled on foot. A citizen flagged down officers and pointed toward the building where Brand was located. He was detained, and a bag containing approximately 22 grams of marijuana was found on him. He admitted being in the vehicle but denied being the driver. Inside the vehicle, a well-used window punch was found along with a gun holster, distal scales, and an additional 6 grams of marijuana. Brand’s cell phone was also located inside the vehicle. He told police that two other people were in the car and repeated that he was not the driver. The vehicle owner was contacted, who advised that she did not know either of the defendants and never permitted them to drive her car. Jaymarion Brand was taken into custody and charged with reckless endangerment, possession of burglary tools, unauthorized use of vehicle, possession or casual exchange, drug paraphernalia, and three counts of evading arrest.

Emily Mosteller drunkenly refuses to leave Hard Rock Cafe for over 3 hours

45-year-old Emily Mosteller was found trespassing at the Hard Rock Cafe on Broadway on January 2nd. Mosteller was asked to leave multiple times after refusing to leave and pay her tab. The manager did not want to press charges for theft of services but did wish to prosecute for criminal trespassing. Mosteller was at the bar for over 3 hours. Emily Mosteller was taken into custody for criminal trespassing.

19-year-old Christorfer Lucas punches pregnant girlfriend multiple times in face during argument

19-year-old Christorfer Lucas was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Tomesha Fennessee, at the Overlook Ridge Apartments on December 20th. The situation began with an argument between the couple. During the argument, Christorfer got into Tomesha’s face. When she told him to back up, Christorfer punched her in the head and the face multiple times. Tomesha tried to fight back, prompting Christorfer to knock her to the ground and continue to hit her in the head. Tomesha attempted to get out her phone and call the police, but Christorfer took her phone and left the apartment. Soon after, Tomesha walked to the front of the apartment complex. Christorfer pulled up next to her, he then threw her phone out of the car window and left. Upon contact with law enforcement, Tomesha produced a voice message of Christorfer saying that Tomesha “explained herself” after they “got into it.” Christorfer further stated that he was not afraid to go to jail. Tomesha was sent to the Centennial Hospital for medical evaluation due to her being nine weeks pregnant. Christorfer Lucas was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault and interfering with an emergency call on January 2nd.
