DUI: Mercedez Jackson drags girlfriend through mulch after 2 beers at Jason Aldean’s Bar

27-year-old Mercedez Jackson had a domestic altercation with her girlfriend, Haleigh Crouch, near 3rd Avenue South and Lindsley Avenue in the early hours of February 22nd. A witness alerted the authorities, advising them that they observed, from their apartment window, an African American female, later identified as Jackson, assaulted a white female, later identified as Crouch. The witness stated she saw Jackson drag Crouch through the mulch. When officers arrived, they noticed a car crashed into the concrete of the parking lot. Officers then spoke with Jackson and Crouch, who both initially stated that Jackson drove and that they did not fight. Then, after officers checked with the caller, who reiterated her statement, Crouch admitted that Jackson attacked her. Officers observed mulch all over Crouch’s clothing and swelling on her hand, which she claimed was from the car collision. Jackson was visibly intoxicated as she told officers that they had been at Jason Aldean’s, where she had two beers. Jackson consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and then, after being informed of implied consent, agreed to provide a breath sample. Jackson’s breath sample resulted in 0.108 BAC%. Jackson was taken into custody for domestic assault and driving under the influence.

Nashville Rapper “Sixstreet Mac” booked after repeatedly harassing ex-wife, threatens her with gun – Mack Hall

34-year-old Nashville Rapper “Sixstreet Mac” Mack Hall was booked on February 26th when police responded to night court for a domestic report. Jacinda Hall advised officers that her ex-husband, Mack Hall, had been giving her issues for the past three years. Jacinda filed for divorce three years ago; however, Hall refused to sign the paperwork until recently. According to Jacinda, over the last three years, she has tried to cut communication with Hall, but he has consistently harassed her through text messages and phone calls after she told him not to. Jacinda blocked Hall’s phone number on three separate occasions, but he has continued to harass her from different numbers. Officers were able to verify the calls made by Hall. On February 25th, Hall called Jacinda while she was at work, and she answered to advise him to stop calling her. Hall replied, “I know where you are; I’ll be right there.” Hall then showed up at Jacinda’s job looking for her. Jacinda’s coworkers advised that this is not the first time he has come to the location looking for Jacinda. Hall followed Jacinda as she took an Uber home. Hall followed Jacinda to her front door and tried to get inside. Jacinda shut the door on him and advised that he was not allowed in. While shutting the door, Hall stuck his foot in the opening to block it from fully closing. Jacinda grabbed her phone and told Hall she would call the police. Hall then knocked the phone out of her hand. Hall pulled out a gun and pressed the barrel against Jacinda’s back. Jacinda was able to grab her phone and hold down the SOS button to call the police, which prompted Hall to flee the scene. Mack was taken into custody and charged with harassment on February 26th.

18-year-old Lazaro Arredondo speeds away during traffic stop, tells police he “got scared”

18-year-old Lazaro Arredondo was jailed on February 25th after police observed a black Ram pickup truck run a red light and turn left on Trinity Lane. When officers attempted to pull him over, he sped northbound on I-65 until police stopped the chase. Officers watched as Lazaro exited the interstate towards Ellington Parkway. His pickup truck got stuck behind traffic, giving the officer time to catch up to him. When the officer finally caught up with him, he sped off again, gaining distance from the officer before exiting on Hart Lane. The officer followed Lazaro into a driveway on Conviser Drive, where he exited the vehicle and was taken into custody. Lazaro admitted that he saw that officer behind him but didn’t stop because he “got scared.” Lazaro also admitted that he was in town to participate in a street racing group meet-up. Lazaro was taken into custody on February 25th.

Rodney Cameron tells children “I will kill you when we get back to the room”

40-year-old Rodney Cameron stated he wanted to kill himself and his children, aged 10 and 12, at the Hyatt Place Hotel late February 24th. The hotel staff alerted the authorities about this when they arrived, advising them that they feared for the children’s safety, so they separated them from him and put them in a different room. Officers located Cameron, who was unconscious on the ground outside of the hotel, and woke him up, asking if he was okay. He told them he was fine and not suicidal, refusing transport, as they noticed him exhibiting multiple signs of inebriation. The witness, who was bartending at the time, told officers that Cameron was at the bar with his children when he became irate, telling them, “I will kill you when we get back to the room.” The bartender said it was at this time that he had security place his two kids in a different room. Cameron was taken into custody for two counts of domestic assault and public intoxication.

Leondrea Bailey jailed after doing donuts in parking lot during illegal street racing event

26-year-old Leondrea Bailey was jailed on February 25th when police helicopters observed her participating in an illegal street racer event. Police observed a red Dodge Charger with black racing stripes doing donuts in the Murfreesboro Pike and Bell Road intersection parking lot. Bailey did so while being surrounded by a large crowd of people, putting them at risk of getting hit by her vehicle. When Bailey saw the police, she fled the scene, driving recklessly while speeding until she was finally stopped. After running her information through the system, it was discovered Bailey didn’t have a valid driver’s license. Bailey was taken into custody for rioting, reckless endangerment, and driving without a license on February 25th.

DUI: Justin Haynes tells police “I have already been drinking this evening”

28-year-old Justin Haynes drove his car with a flat tire at Buena Vista Pike on February 24th. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop before the Overlook Ridge Apartments. They approached the driver’s side and asked him to roll down his window, which he did after rolling down a backseat window by mistake. Haynes told them he was coming from a family event at O’Charlie’s and trying to pull over to service his car. He was unsure of his whereabouts as they asked him to provide his driver’s credentials, and then they were notified about his suspended license. They asked him to exit his car to perform sobriety tests, but he refused, stating, “I have already been drinking this evening.” Officers saw an empty Four Loko can and Mike’s Hard Lemonade behind the passenger’s seat before Mirandizing him. Haynes agreed to provide a breath sample, which resulted in 0.13 BAC%, and then he was taken into custody for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.

Yancy Soto forces her way into father’s home, assaults his date during altercation

20-year-old Yancy Soto was booked on February 25th after assaulting her father and his date on Beckley Drive. Yancy called 911 with claims that she had been punched twice in the face by her father, Alfredo Soto Coz. Officers observed drying blood under her nose and spoke to Alfredo. Alfredo stated that Yancy showed up at his house unannounced, angry, and combative. So, Alfredo shut the door on her and resumed having dinner with a woman in the kitchen. At that moment, Yancy forced her way inside through the back patio door and began to attack Alfredo’s date. When Alfredo held Yancy to stop her from attacking the female further, she clawed his arms and spat on him. Alfredo stated he pushed her head away with an open palm, resulting in a bloody nose. Alfredo showed police video footage that captured the moments after the assault. Officers reviewed the footage, which showed Yancy being ushered out the door by her friend, who accompanied her during the incident. The video also revealed Yancy lunging at her father’s date in an attempt to assault her again. When officers asked Yancy what she was doing at her father’s house, she explained that she stops by to visit him every few months. Alfredo stated that it’s been a year since he’s seen Yancy. Yancy Soto was then placed into custody for Domestic Assault and transported to booking.

Marvaughn McClerkin crashes into police cars while fleeing in stolen vehicle

24-year-old Marvaughn McClerkin parked a stolen grey Infiniti Q50 at Commerce Union Bank Building late February 20th. NCIC notified detectives that the Q50 was reported stolen by Cody Sumner on October 6th, so they approached the car and attempted to do a tactical vehicle takedown, but McClerkin fled the scene after ramming into the police cars. MNPD aviation followed the Infiniti to the West End and Louise Avenue area, where they saw the driver, McClerkin, and his unidentified passenger flee on foot. McClerkin was arrested around 25th Avenue South and Kensington Place before being placed into custody for two counts of evading arrest, theft of property, driving with a revoked license, and three counts of aggravated assault.

Robert Freeman pops a wheelie while evading police

26-year-old Robert Elgen Freeman was taken into custody for evading arrest by motor vehicle and reckless driving on February 24th. On September 12th, officers noticed a motorcycle with a blue gas tank and roll cage around the engine speed past them on Old Hickory Boulevard, where they were conducting traffic enforcement. Then, after another officer described the motorist on the traffic channel, they tried to conduct a traffic stop on him. Still, Freeman accelerated away after doing a wheelie, passing citizens who were stopped at the Old Hickory Boulevard and Second Street light. He fled the scene after turning left and going the wrong way into Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage. Officers identified Freeman via social media posts, which showed him wearing the same helmet and driving the same bike.
