22-year-old tourist Martin McDonald was found extremely intoxicated and trespassing in the closed construction site of the future Chief’s Bar location at 2nd & Commerce in downtown Nashville. He was unable to care for himself and had no one to care for him, so he was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Sandra Peterson jailed after threatening fellow passengers on a plane at Nashville Airport
60-year-old Sandra Peterson was reportedly threatening passengers on a plane at the Nashville International Airport Friday night. Officers were dispatched to gate C15 and observed Peterson standing in the aisle of the airplane as they arrived. Peterson was visibly intoxicated as officers helped her get off the plane and up the jet bridge for further questioning. Peterson told officers that she had two double shots and that her daughter was supposed to be picking her up from the airport. Officers gave Peterson a chance to get picked up, but her phone was dead, and she could not get in contact with anyone. Peterson was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to booking.
Cody Bearden assaults bouncers, uses racial slurs at Kid Rock’s bar in downtown Nashville
32-year-old Cody Bearden was with a friend at Kid Rock’s Bar in downtown Nashville late Friday night when his friend fell. Security advised Bearden to take his friend outside of the bar due to his level of intoxication. Bearden, who was visiting from Illinois, then assaulted two bouncers when they attempted to remove him from the bar, and was overheard calling them racial slurs. Bearden was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.
Arthur Jay Gann says he’s “rich and will sue the police” who arrested him in downtown Nashville
33-year-old Texas Tourist Arthur Jay Gann repeatedly told Metro Nashville Police he would sue the officer and the department because ‘I’m rich,” as they placed him in the back of a patrol car in downtown Nashville Friday evening. Gann had been detained by security at the Lucky Bastard Saloon after being disorderly inside the bar and threatening security staff and officers with violence. He was extremely intoxicated and was transported to booking, despite his wishes otherwise.
Gage Henry jailed after fighting with bouncers & fleeing from police in downtown Nashville
23-year-old Georgia man Gage Henry was at the Nashville Underground in downtown Nashville early Saturday morning when he attempted to exit the venue with a food tray. When security confronted him about leaving with their property, he began to fight them and refused to return the tray. He fled on Broadway toward Kid Rock’s Bar, where he was detained by Metro Nashville Police. Gage then slipped the grasp of officers and fled to 4th & Demonbruen before being apprehended by officers. He admitted to punching the bouncer and fleeing from the scene.
Nick Gruel jailed after scuffle outside Play Dance Bar on Church Street
30-year-old Nick Gruel was arguing with a woman outside of Play Dance Bar on Church Street in the early hours of Saturday morning when he reportedly became overly aggressive. Security attempted to intervene, and as they pressed up against him to separate the two, he struck bouncer Charles Kirkland in the chest and began to grapple with security, injuring the knee of one of the guards. Metro Nashville Police arrived to find him visibly intoxicated and reviewed the footage from the security cameras. Gruel was taken into custody for public intoxication and assault.
Hani Bushra sold alcohol to a minor at 12th & Pine Spirits & Wine
56-year-old Hani Bushra was issued a citation on September 20th when he sold a bottle of On The Rocks The Old Fashioned to a cooperating 19-year-old underage shopper after an undercover TABC agent conducted an operation at 12th & Pine Wine & Spirits & Cigars. The Bushra checked the customer’s ID, which had a birthdate of 01/27/2004. He was booked on the citation this week.
Jessica Royster pistol-whips her husband’s ex wife
40-year-old Jessica Royster was arrested after she was caught on video pistol whipping her husband’s ex-wife, Yasmine Easley, over a custody disagreement on October 17th outside of the Nashville Rescue Mission. Following verbal arguments that lasted throughout the day, Easley was upset with Royster because she does not have custody of her children, along with stating that the defendant is abusive toward them. The fight broke out when the defendant drove to the Nashville Rescue Mission and found the victim sitting on the sidewalk. The defendant pulled out a handgun and proceeded to strike Easley multiple times in the face, causing bleeding from the forehead.
After Easley was able to pull the handgun from Royster, she handed it to Nashville Rescue Mission staff. After losing the handgun, the defendant got into her vehicle and drove off before police arrived. In addition to the Nashville Rescue Mission staff, there was also surveillance video that showed the altercation with the firearm. Due to the damage to the victim and video evidence, a warrant was issued for criminal trespass, weapon possession with intent, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was arrested on October 18th.
Tourist Samuel Wilson too drunk and disorderly at Nashville Soccer game
34-year-old Samuel Wilson was taken into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct on October 17th. Officers were working at a soccer game on Benton Ave. when they were called to Lot 7 regarding a disorderly person. Wilson was screaming at security personnel and arguing with them as officers arrived. Officers observed Wilson to be a general nuisance, showing visible signs of intoxication, and he was taken into custody.
Kyshawn Roberts jailed after fleeing from stolen car
22-year-old Kyshawn Roberts was arrested on the evening of October 17th after being seen fleeing the scene of a stopped stolen vehicle on Summercrest Boulevard. A 2019 Dodge Durango was reported stolen from Bartlett, Tennessee, and tracked to Summercrest Boulevard, where it stopped. An MNPD helicopter witnessed the defendant fleeing from the direction of the stopped vehicle and running through the apartment complex on Summercrest Blvd. After being stopped and searched by police, Roberts was found to have an eight-gram plastic package containing marijuana.
After being read his Miranda Rights, the defendant admitted to being in the vehicle but stated he wasn’t driving. Roberts stated another occupant said police were trying to use road spikes ahead of the group fleeing. Roberts also admitted to the package being marijuana. A detective also said there was surveillance video from Bell Road showing the defendant in the driver’s seat.
