21-year-old Amanda Hazel Edwards had a single-vehicle accident near Old Springfield Highway in the early hours of May 5th. Upon arrival, officers located Edwards walking down the road from the crash, where they approached her and spoke with her, during which they noticed she reeked of alcohol and showed signs of impairment as she told them she was leaving a friend’s house after returning from downtown Nashville. She admitted to having one alcoholic drink around 9 p.m. and believed it was 11 p.m. when it was actually 4 a.m. She consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and was taken into custody. Edwards was transported to Nashville General Hospital for a blood draw and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
Amanda Edwards of Shadowhaven Way in Hendersonville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on May 5th, charged with driving under the influence. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $1,000, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave her pre-trial release from their facility.
