Brandon Covington charged with stealing his significant other’s vehicle

30-year-old Brandon Covington was taken into custody Friday night after a LPR near Trinity Lane and Brick Church Pike alerted to the car he was driving being listed as stolen. Police soon located the red Ford Fusion and followed it with the assistance of a THP helicopter. Covington was taken into custody. The NCIC hit detailed that the owner had lent the vehicle to Covington, who was their significant other, but he failed to return it. 

Jheri Jackson jailed after getting too drunk on Broadway in downtown Nashville

26-year-old Jheri Jackson on July 23rd was observed by police as unsteady on her feet and visibly intoxicated on Broadway and unable to find her friends. Police ordered her to a taxi and sent her to the hotel that she said she was staying at. Later the taxi showed back up with Jheri still in the back, and the taxi driver said that she was not staying at the address. She could not remember where she was staying, and the taxi driver wanted her removed from his car. It was then she was placed into custody.

DUI: Griffin Rogers blows 0.141% BAC after ‘two beers’ at dinner

21-year-old Griffin Rogers, on July 23rd, was jailed after police arrived at a single-car accident on the exit ramp of Old Hickory Blvd. from I-65 and found NFD who stated that Griffin, who was notably visibly under the influence of an intoxicating influence, was the vehicle’s driver. Police searched the vehicle and found what Griffin admitted was marijuana, a pipe, a grinder, and a half-empty bottle of vodka. A field sobriety test was conducted after Griffin said that he was not drunk, yet he showed multiple signs of impairment. Griffin later said he had two beers at dinner that night and blew a 0.141% BAC.

22-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Crowe was booked on July 25th after police were flagged down just outside Johnny Cash’s Bar on 3rd Ave. They noticed a crowd forming and arguing, and then they witnessed Sarah punching a man in the face several times. She was pulled away from the victim, Ryan Fisher, and placed into handcuffs to stop her from fighting. Sarah told the police her friend was bleeding from their face when she decided to help. At this time, she saw Ryan recording it all on his phone, and she insisted that he stop; he continued to record, and that’s when she engaged him. Police say that Ryan had visible injuries after Sarah had punched him in the face several times. She also told police that she was drinking alcohol before the event, and police stated that she smelled of alcohol.

Cameron Harris charged with harassment and vandalism after relationship ends

28-year-old Cameron Harris was booked on July 13th after police arrived at Hobson Pike for a domestic disturbance and spoke to the witness, Harris’s recent ex. She said that Harris became upset after she decided to end things with him that day and he arrived at the victim and witness’ residence. He demanded to come inside and called his ex, the witness on the phone, telling her that if the victim did not answer him something would happen to the victim. Whilst inside the ex-girlfriend, the victim heard a loud bang along the door and received a text from Harris saying he would kick in the door. It was noted that there was some damage to the door, valued at $500, with paint missing.
