Tamya Hill refuses to be removed from patrol car, spits in police officer’s face

25-year-old Tamya Hill was involved in an altercation with the first responding officers at West Hamilton Avenue on December 16th. Officers received a call that a woman was waving around a knife inside of a halfway house. Upon arriving, officers spoke with the residents of the halfway house, and they said that Hill had failed a drug test, so they told her that she had to leave. That infuriated Hill, so she grabbed a knife and began waving it around like she was going to use it. The residents of the halfway house produced a video of Hill yelling and waving the knife around. The officers made contact with Hill and detained her. They began to pat her down for any weapon, but she started kicking and screaming. Suddenly, Hill sat down and refused to stand up when instructed to. Officers attempted to lift her off the ground, but she began to pull away from them and resist with force. While placing Hill into the patrol car, she continued to resist and intentionally kicked Officer Nicholas Sloan in the leg. Hill later spit in the back of the patrol car, vandalizing it. In the secure garage at booking, Hill refused to leave the patrol car and violently resisted officers’ attempts to remove her from the vehicle. Hill grabbed onto a seatbelt and trapped her feet underneath the seat to prevent officers from removing her from the car. Hill then spit in the face of Officer Timothy Mclaughlin when he was trying to pull her feet from the seat.

Clifford Fine puts wife’s license plate on stolen Ford truck

31-year-old Clifford Johnathan Fine was parked at Love’s Truck Stop in a Ford truck with tags registered to a black Nissan on the afternoon of December 18th. Detectives approached the truck and noticed Fine in the driver’s seat. He complied and allowed them to search the truck to see if it was stolen. They ran the VIN found on the paperwork in the glove compartment and found that it was stolen from Newport with the keys in the vehicle. Fine advised them that he did not know it was stolen but admitted to putting his wife’s license plate on the vehicle to go to the gas station. He was taken into custody for theft.

Tyaundrea Hughes assaults Lyft driver during altercation over Lyft ride

21-year-old Tyaundrea Hughes had an altercation with Evelyn Amoo-Ayensu, a Lyft driver, on East Trinity Lane in July 2021. Amoo-Ayensu advised officers that Hughes requested a Lyft, and Evelyn picked her up from Edwin Street to take her to RiverGate Mall. Then, she said Hughes instructed her to drive around traffic and became angry when she refused. Hughes then demanded that she cancel the ride and became angrier when Amoo-Ayensu told her she had to cancel it, so she pulled over to call 911. Hughes struck her in the face while she was calling the authorities. Hughes initially told officers that she did not hit her but then admitted to assaulting her because she did not let her out of the vehicle. She stated that she had ordered a Lyft to go to the mall and forgot something at the house, so she asked her if she could turn around, but she refused. Then she said she asked her to pull the car over and cancel the ride so someone else could pick her up, but she refused, so Hughes hit her. Amoo-Ayensu wished to prosecute, and Hughes was taken into custody for assault on December 18th

DUI: Anastasia De La Fuente found passed out in vehicle after having 2 cocktails at Tin Roof Bar

28-year-old Anastasia De La Fuente passed out in her vehicle at the 2nd Avenue South and Broadway intersection in the early hours of December 18th. First responders had De La Fuente in the ambulance when officers arrived and advised them that they initially observed her in the vehicle facing the wrong way, unconscious in the driver’s seat and that it took some time to wake her up. Officers spoke with De La Fuente, who was unsure if she wanted to go to the hospital. She was visibly intoxicated, consented to a sobriety test, performed poorly, and refused to provide a breath sample. They Mirandized her, and then she admitted to having two cocktails at Tin Roof Bar. She also admitted to regularly taking sleep medication and Adderall. De La Fuente was taken into custody for implied consent and driving under the influence.

Samuel Thomas punches hole in girlfriend’s door after waking up late for work

23-year-old Samuel Thomas had a domestic disturbance with his girlfriend, Dezmond Duran, at Hickory Club Drive on December 19th. Duran advised them that Thomas woke up late for work and began to throw items around the apartment. She looked in her room to see what he was throwing and saw him punch a hole in her door. Officers observed the fist-size hole and fresh scratches on his right hand. He stated Duran pushed him into the door, causing the hole. Thomas was deemed the primary aggressor and taken into custody for vandalism.

18-year-old Kaden Barber assaults girlfriend for attempting to meet unknown person

18-year-old Kaden Barber had an altercation with his girlfriend, Erica Wolfenbarger, at her apartment complex on December 18th. Wolfenbarger advised that she received a message from an unknown number asking if she wanted to meet and hang out; she agreed and went outside to wait for the stranger. A red car approached, and she noticed it was Barber and his friend James. Barber got out of the car, walked up to her, started pushing her, yelling, “We’re doing this now!?” He grabbed her purse, threw it into a construction site, snatched her phone, threatened to break it, and said, “You might get your phone back if we talk.” Then, he told her she was not getting it back and smashed it on the ground. She picked it up, realized it was broken, and told him she no longer wanted it. She was scared and wanted to find a way to notify the police, so she told him they should walk and talk about their problems. They walked to Skyline Hospital, and she stated she needed to go to the bathroom. He agreed but told her he was coming in with her. She notified security that she needed help as she checked in and went to the restroom; he followed her, telling her he did not trust anyone and warned her not anyone about what was going on. A police officer entered the bathroom, and Barber left the hospital. Barber was taken into custody on December 19th for domestic assault.

Laurie Frank deemed too drunk for Nashville International Airport

60-year-old Laurie Frank was drunk in Nashville Airport Tuesday night. Officers arrived at level two of passenger pick-up and observed Frank to be visibly intoxicated. She could not tell them what city or state she was in. They were advised that she was denied boarding to Florida due to her being drunk. Laurie was not able to obtain transportation to a hotel and had nobody local to pick her up. Laurie Frank was taken into custody for public intoxication.

DUI: Brentwood Businessman Roy Story drinks White Claw before causing wreck

45-year-old Roy Story, a Brentwood businessman, was involved in a car accident on Old Hickory Boulevard on the morning of December 19th. Officers responded to the crash and noticed Story was visibly intoxicated in the driver’s seat of one of the involved vehicles. They asked him for his driver’s credentials, and he seemed confused, asking them why they needed it. When asked if he had been drinking, Story responded, “Yes!”. Story then refused to take sobriety tests. A search of his vehicle yielded two cases of White Claw, one of which was opened with drinks missing. Story consented to a blood draw and was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Amber Roth gives herself $100,000 raise; jailed for felony theft when employer discovers

37-year-old Amber Roth was taken into custody for felony theft on December 15th. Roth was the front office manager at A Step Ahead, where she handled employee payroll and finances. During her employment, Joe Reiger discovered that she had been stealing money for at least a year. She altered her work hours, falsified travel mileage claims, and gave herself a $100,000 raise during her employment.
