45-year-old Roy Story, a Brentwood businessman, was involved in a car accident on Old Hickory Boulevard on the morning of December 19th. Officers responded to the crash and noticed Story was visibly intoxicated in the driver’s seat of one of the involved vehicles. They asked him for his driver’s credentials, and he seemed confused, asking them why they needed it. When asked if he had been drinking, Story responded, “Yes!”. Story then refused to take sobriety tests. A search of his vehicle yielded two cases of White Claw, one of which was opened with drinks missing. Story consented to a blood draw and was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
