Osvaldo Ramos steals $340 worth of merchandise from Macy’s

22-year-old Osvaldo Gomez Ramos stole merchandise from Macy’s on Hillsboro Pike in the afternoon of March 24th. When officers arrived, Ramos was detained and searched by loss prevention employees, who provided footage showing him exiting the location with $340 worth of items. Ramos was then cited for the theft that day. Then, Ramos was booked on the citation of organized retail crime on April 15th.

DUI: Brandon Parsons walks away from accident after drinking 7 beers, tells police “he crashed”

37-year-old Massage Therapist Brandon Parsons was involved in a car crash at Hillsboro Pike on April 9th. Parsons was located walking away from the crash and did not attempt to contact law enforcement. When officers met with Parsons, he told them that “he crashed” and was trying to get home. Parsons admitted that he drank seven draft beers and then drove in his car. Parsons consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Officers informed Parsons about implied consent, but he refused to provide a breath sample. Brandon Parsons was taken into custody and charged with implied consent, driving under the influence, and leaving the scene of an accident.

Grant Obersteadt charged with DUI after crash on Hillsboro Pike

43-year-old Grant Thomas Obersteadt rear-ended another vehicle on Hillsboro Pike early Wednesday morning while driving his Toyota Tacoma just a short distance from his home and ran off the roadway. Police spoke with Obersteadt and report the smell of alcohol coming from his breath, along with slurred speech and being lethargic. He denied drinking and stated he had only taken his prescribed Vyvanse one hour before driving. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.
