Hope McCann charged with shoplifting $47 from Walmart with two juvenile co-defendants

On September 6th, officers responded to Walmart on N. Gallatin Pike regarding a report of shoplifters that had been detained by loss prevention officers. Officers spoke with loss prevention officers, and they stated that 20-year-old Hope McCann had taken $47 worth of merchandise and confronted them outside before bringing them back inside to wait for the arrival of the police. McCann admitted to stealing the items and committed delinquency of a minor by having two juveniles involved, who were given citations for shoplifting.

Tameka Stewart-Ackerman arrested at Alamo Car Rental after berating employees

46-year-old Tameka Stewart-Ackerman was jailed Wednesday night after verbally abusing the employees at Alamo Rental. Police responded to Nashville airport and observed Tameka being loud and disruptive. One of the employees told officers that they were afraid she was going to come around the counter and harm them because she was very animated, throwing her hands around and putting her finger in their faces. She stated that unless they rented her a car, they would have to take her to jail because she would not be leaving. Leaving, she did, in handcuffs.

Shyanne Hoffman assaults woman over rented scooter outside of Titans Stadium

Officers were dispatched to a fight that occurred at Titans Way on September 9. Officers spoke with the victim, who stated she was approached by 19-year-old Shyanne Hoffman, who she did not know, and a fight ensued over a rentable scooter. Officers observed visible injuries to the victim’s face and knees. Surveillance footage provided to Officers by Titans Stadium shows Hoffman actively fighting the victim. She was issued a citation for assault and was booked this week.

Phillip Hathaway admits to strangling his mother after she turned off a baseball game

Officer Pellissier was dispatched to Herman St. in response to a domestic disturbance on October 3rd. Upon arrival Veronica Falls, the caller, stated that her son, 31-year-old Phillip Hathaway, tried to strangle her. Pellissier observed abrasions on the left side of Falls’s neck. When asked about the incident, Hathaway stated, “I was watching the baseball game, and when she turned it off, I choked her.” Hathaway was then taken into custody.

Mason Delatour fired and arrested after drunken debacle at Mother’s Ruin bar after his shift

29-year-old Mason Delatour was arrested early in the morning of October 4th after his shift at Mother’s Ruin bar when he became disorderly after drinking for several hours. Following his shift, Delatour began drinking until he became an issue for customers of the bar, at which point he was let go by the Assistant General Manager. This angered the defendant, and he became more aggressive towards the AGM. When asked to leave, Delatour went outside.

Officers arrived to find Delatour standing outside of his car, which was parked on the street behind the bar and stated that he smelled of alcohol immediately on approach. In addition, he was slurring his words and began to yell at employees attempting to take the trash out, inquiring as to why he was fired. Delatour became “an annoyance” to the employees and was placed under arrest for allegedly refusing an official order from police.

Damali Sommerville assaults girlfriend during argument over her phone

Officers responded to Stewarts Ferry Apartments on May 16th regarding a domestic disturbance. Rashanda Harris states she was taking a bath when her husband, 23-year-old Damali Sommerville, asked to look through her phone. Harris refused, causing an argument that turned physical when Sommerville began to strike her, throwing her to the ground, then he wrapped his hand around her neck and clenched down. While Harris was on the phone with the Police, Sommerville took the phone out of her hand and threw it into the bathtub, causing it to disconnect. Officers observed marks around Harris’s neck, a laceration on her lip, bruising on her arm, and scratch marks throughout her body. Harris went to the hospital for her injuries and did not wish to prosecute. Sommerville fled the scene before Officers arrived.

Nicola Gayel bites boyfriend, assaults him with a stick; given $100 bond

On October 1st, Officers responded to Litton Ave. about a possible domestic disturbance. Oraysha Stuart, the caller, and his girlfriend, 38-year-old Nicola Gayel, were standing next to each other in the parking lot of their apartment complex when Officers arrived. Officers spoke with Stuart first, and he stated Gayel confronted him about his ex-girlfriend, saying he was hanging out with her and texting her. Stuart then says Gayel became angry and began to grab his shirt and pull him across the parking lot before biting him and hitting him with a stick. Officers then spoke with Gayel, and she confirmed the incident by admitting to confronting Stuart about his ex-girlfriend, biting him, grabbing his shirt, and hitting him with a stick. Due to Gayel’s admissions, she was deemed the aggressor and was taken into custody. Stuart did not wish to prosecute.
