Patty Shrum assaults boyfriend during scuffle over beer

46-year-old Patty Shrum had a domestic incident with her boyfriend, James McChesney, at their Thuss Avenue residence in the early hours of March 5th. McChesney advised the responding officers that Shrum had attacked him approximately four days ago. McChesney then lifted his shirt, showing officers the deep scratch marks and bruises on his shoulder. When officers tried to take a photo for evidence, McChesney pulled his shirt down, stating he did not want Shrum to get in trouble. McChesney then refused to provide any additional information regarding the altercation. Shrum told detectives that she and McChesney had a scuffle because she did not want to give him a can of beer. Then, Shrum said they wrestled while she tried to keep the beer away from McChesney, resulting in him getting scratched. Shrum was deemed as the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

DUI: Trevor Duke crashes into pole after drinking at Nashville Predators game

26-year-old Trevor Duke had a car accident near McGavock Pike and Briley Parkway early March 6th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Duke, who advised that he had swerved to avoid hitting a vehicle and struck a pole. Duke reeked of alcohol as officers asked for his driver’s credentials. Duke then admitted to drinking multiple alcoholic beverages at Scoreboard Bar and Grill, where he works. Duke also stated he also attended the Nashville Predators hockey game and consumed more alcohol there as well. Duke consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and refused to provide a blood or breath sample after being explained implied consent. Officers discovered Duke’s license had been suspended, and his vehicle registration had expired in January 2023. Duke was taken into custody for driving under the influence, implied consent violation, driving on a suspended license, and driving or moving an unregistered vehicle.

Jacob Pittman shoots uncle for stopping his suicide attempt

28-year-old Jacob Allen Pittman had a domestic altercation with his uncle, Fount Jones, mother, Jackey Jones, and brother, Chaz Anderson, at their McGavock Pike residence late March 2nd. When officers arrived, they located Fount Jones lying inside, suffering from severe and non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Officers determined the injuries had come from Pittman, who was uncooperative as they detained him. Fount was transported to Skyline Hospital with two wounds to his left lower abdomen area and one to his left upper thigh area. Witnesses advised officers that before the shooting, Pittman was erratic and violent towards Jackey Jones, who further explained that he had pushed her down and got into her face, which was when Chaz Anderson intervened. Then, Pittman punched Anderson in the face and bit his arm. Detectives observed bite marks on Anderson’s right arm and swelling in his left eye. Officers informed that Pittman acquired the .45 Cal Revolver from the house and put it to his head in a suicidal manner. Then, as his uncle approached to try talking Pittman out of hurting himself, Pittman yelled, “Fuck you,” and shot him three times. Pittman then ran outside with the gun before eventually surrendering it to his mother. When officers were inside the home, they noticed multiple chairs out of place. Witnesses said Pittman had thrown the chairs after kicking in the door, damaging it. Fount, Jackey, and Chaz told officers they did not wish to prosecute Pittman for the incident. Pittman was taken into custody for attempted criminal homicide and two counts of domestic assault.

DUI: Andrew Grisham drives into wood line near Old Hickory Boulevard after drinking

26-year-old Andrew Blake Grisham drove off the road and into the wood line near Old Hickory Boulevard and Ridgelake Parkway in the early hours of March 6th. When detectives arrived, Grisham emerged from the wood line and advised them he was driving the vehicle. Officers noticed Grisham exhibited signs of intoxication as he refused to do sobriety testing and provide a breath or blood sample. Grisham was taken into custody for driving under the influence and implied consent.

Derrick Gore shoots father in chest during altercation, tells him “You think I won’t shoot you?”

31-year-old Derrick Gore had a domestic altercation with Dale Gore in their apartment unit at Village on The Green on Ed Temple Boulevard in the early hours of February 29th. A witness, Ivy Moore, alerted the authorities, advising them that Dale Gore, her son, had been shot. When officers arrived, Dale was suffering from severe and non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his right shoulder, upper right chest, and lower left abdomen. Dale was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital. Moore further explained to officers that the three of them were inside the residence on February 29th. Moore stated she heard two gunshots, walked outside, and saw Derrick pointing a gun at Dale, saying, “You think I won’t shoot you?” Moore said Derrick left before the officers arrived. Derrick Gore was taken into custody for attempted criminal homicide on March 3rd.

DUI: Anthony Davis drives with no vehicle lights on after one margarita

58-year-old Anthony Davis was seen traveling on Old Hickory Boulevard West without his vehicle lights on March 2nd. An officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with Davis, who admitted to drinking a single margarita. Davis consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and then requested to use a breathalyzer. His BAC was .060%, but the test was taken an hour after the initial stop. The officers conducted a probable cause search of his vehicle and located several small liquor bottles. Anthony Davis was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence and open container.

Katiria Maldonado-Davila caught at Nashville International Airport with 47 pounds of marijuana

38-year-old Katiria Maldonado-Davila was taken into custody for felony possession on March 4th. Nashville International Airport Police investigated an inbound Southwest flight from San Jose, California. Officers deployed their narcotics detection K-9 unit, Peggy, which gave a positive indication to two bags displaying “Kati Maldonado.” Officers approached Maldonado as she walked down C concourse, asking if she was Katiria Maldonado-Davila, which she denied. Officers asked again after explaining why they approached her. Maldonado then provided her Pennsylvania Driver’s License, confirming her identity. Officers explained that their K-9 unit, Peggy, was alerted to her bags, so they asked to search them, but she refused. Officers then obtained a search warrant for the two pieces of luggage. Officers located ten vacuum-sealed bundles of marijuana weighing around 25 pounds in her USTRAVELER suitcase. In addition, officers found nine vacuum-sealed bundles of marijuana weighing about 22 pounds in her SAMSONITE suitcase. The marijuana found in both suitcases totaled to approximately 47 pounds or 21,318.8 grams.

Joe Mohan found passed out in Four Points Airport Hotel after screaming about Cocaine

36-year-old Joe Thomas Mohan was disorderly at Four Points by Sheraton-Nashville Airport on the afternoon of March 5th. Officers arrived and spoke with Four Points employees. Employees advised officers that Mohan was in the lobby screaming about cocaine and reeking of alcohol before he disappeared. Then, employees found him lying on the ground on the second floor, where he declined medical assistance. Mohan was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Hy Ma booked after screaming at police, kicking items outside Rippy’s Honky Tonk

45-year-old Hy Ma was seen kicking items outside of Rippy’s Honky Tonk on March 4th. Officers approached Ma and noticed a strong odor of alcohol. They tried to give Ma a warning and told him to stop and go home, but he began screaming at them. Officers proceeded to give him another warning to leave the area, but he continued to yell at them. Hy Ma was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
