32-year-old John Forsythe had an altercation with Delbert Lee Merritt at Chief’s on Broadway on May 3rd. When officers arrived, they spoke with Merritt, who explained how they tried to make Forsythe leave the establishment multiple times. When Forsythe refused to leave, he became belligerent and pushed employees away. Once employees got Forsythe to the dance floor, Merritt picked him up and carried him to the exit. This prompted Forsythe to grab onto the doors in an attempt to stay inside the establishment. Once Forsythe was outside, he punched Merritt in the right side of his face. Employees then took him down to the ground and called for police. Forsythe was taken into custody for assault.
