Isaiah Lofton drunkenly fights man for bumping into him on Broadway

27-year-old Isaiah Michael Lofton got into a scuffle with Joseph Konrath at the corner of Representative John Lewis Way and Broadway early January 1st. Officers observed this, intervened, and separated the two. As Officers attempted to separate the men, a drunk woman, Caitlin Chism, repeatedly intervened and had to be removed from the scene. The men, who were both intoxicated, told officers that the other one initiated the altercation once they bumped into each other while walking in the street. Lofton was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

DUI: Sebastian Cova runs man over after crashing into his car

22-year-old Sebastian Cova was jailed on January 1st after police responded to 4th Avenue North for a vehicle crash. Elijah Zeisloft told police that Cova crashed into his parked vehicle. When Elijah approached Cova to get his information, Cova attempted to flee the scene and struck his car a second time. Elijah was in front of Cova’s vehicle at this point, walking toward the driver’s seat. According to Elijah, Cova revved his engine before accelerating forward toward him and struck him in the leg before crashing into a gate. Officers smelled alcohol mixed with cologne as they spoke with Cova. He was unsteady on his feet and had watery eyes and dilated pupils. Cova performed poorly on sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Cova was charged with driving under the influence, aggravated assault, reckless driving, and driving without a license.

Victoria Rogers charged in Ole Red Brawl on Broadway

27-year-old Victoria Rogers was jailed early Monday morning after police responded to a brawl at Ole Red Bar on Broadway. Rogers and other involved individuals were escorted outside by bar security. While outside, Rogers got into another altercation with the same individuals from inside. Security intervened again and claimed they were assaulted; however, they did not wish to prosecute at that time. Rogers created a public disturbance and was arrested due to the likelihood that it would continue.

DUI: Charles Davis urinates on himself during sobriety tests after causing crash

30-year-old Charles Davis was charged on January 1st after causing a crash at Flora Wilson Park. When officers arrived on the scene, they immediately observed Mr. Davis stumbling and smelt alcohol coming from him. He explained that he had a beer at the bar he had just recently left from. During the field sobriety tests, Mr. Davis urinated on himself and was having issues staying still. The tests were concluded, and he was transported to Nashville General Hospital for a blood draw before being transported to booking. Charles Davis was charged with driving under the influence and implied consent.

Caitlyn Chism drunkenly tries to stop officers breaking up street fight on New Year’s Day

27-year-old Caitlin Chism had to be physically removed from a fight at the corner of Representative John Lewis Way and Broadway on January 1st. Officers responded to a physical altercation between two men, Isaiah Lofton and Joseph Konrath. When officers tried to separate the involved parties, Chism repeatedly intervened and had to be removed from the scene. When police interacted with Chism, they noticed she was heavily intoxicated and unable to care for herself. Chism was arrested for her safety and taken into custody for public intoxication.

DUI: Samantha Payne drinks beer before crashing car at Taco Bell

22-year-old Samantha Payne crashed her car at the Taco Bell on Rosa L Parks Blvd just before 3 a.m. on December 30th. Payne told responding officers she had been drinking beer before driving to Taco Bell for food. She was visibly intoxicated and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She later blew a 0.201% BAC on a breathalyzer. Samantha Payne was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.

Tamia Taylor deemed too drunk for Broadway

23-year-old Tamia Taylor was booked on January 1st after an altercation at Ole Red on Broadway. When officers made contact with Taylor, they could smell alcohol coming from her breath as she slurred her side of the story. Officers determined Taylor to be a danger to herself and others, so officers took her into custody.

Rolly Cartwright too drunk for Whiskey Row after celebrating the new year

24-year-old Rolly Cartwright was jailed on New Year’s Day at 2 a.m. after police responded to a call of a disorderly person on Broadway. When officers arrived on the scene,  Cartwright had been detained by Whiskey Row security. They advised that he had been kicked out of the bar and continued to try to reenter. When officers made contact with Cartwright, they could smell alcohol coming from his breath, and he appeared visibly intoxicated. He admitted to drinking and was determined to be a danger to others if left unattended in his drunken state.
