Gavin Sheasley blows 0.290% BAC after passing out behind wheel of vehicle mid-afternoon

30-year-old Nashville fitness fanatic Gavin Eli Sheasley was found passed out in his vehicle with an empty bottle of New Amsterdam vodka in his hand on Liberty Hill Dr. in the afternoon hours of November 29th. EMS observed this and requested officers’ assistance. They noticed Sheasley’s foot on the brake with the car still in drive before they could wake him up successfully. Sheasley was visibly intoxicated when he stepped out of the vehicle and admitted to having six to seven “airplane bottles.” Then, he refused to partake in sobriety tests but provided a breath sample after being Mirandized, which resulted in 0.290% BAC. Sheasley was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Shane Shown fails to show up for court over expired registration; bench warrant issued

31-year-old Shane Ramon Shown was driving on I-65 with expired tags on January 5th. Officers observed the tags, which expired in October 2022, conducted a traffic stop, and cited him for the violation. Shown failed to appear in court, and his bond was forfeited in May. A capias was issued from the bench for his arrest. Six months later, he was taken into custody and booked on November 29th.

Photographer Heather Waterman chases after car that rear-ends her through neighborhoods

39-year-old Heather Waterman, owner of Momma Bear Nashville Photography, was the victim of a hit-and-run at Nolensville Pike on November 4th. A car fled the scene after it rear-ended Waterman’s 2012 Toyota Camry, so she followed it, engaging in a chase throughout neighborhoods with children and cul-de-sacs. The car ended up colliding with another vehicle, resulting in injuries to three people who were transported via ambulance. Waterman was booked on a citation for reckless endangerment on November 27th.

Ryan Willis evades arrest at Twin Peaks restaurant

40-year-old Ryan Taylor Willis was disorderly at Twin Peaks in the night hours of November 29th. Officers arrived and observed Willis speeding on his motorcycle, doing burnouts, and when they got behind and blue-lighted him, he sped away. Willis returned but kept his distance from officers as he gave them his information. Officers attempted to get close to him, and he took off again towards the Sumner County line, disregarding the activated emergency equipment. Willis was taken into custody for two counts of evading arrest on November 30th.

Daniel McGrory jailed after “mule kicking,” strangling girlfriend

21-year-old Daniel McGrory was involved in a domestic dispute with his at-the-time girlfriend, Mariah Toennies, at their shared residence on Bell Rd. in the night hours of November 26th. Toennies advised she and McGrory were arguing regarding his alleged infidelity when he suddenly became upset and “kicked “mule kicked” her in the chest. She was packing her belongings so she could leave when McGrory continued to assault her, strangling her and throwing her on the ground.  Toennies stated this went on for approximately an hour, and he strangled her numerous times, even causing her feet and fingers to become numb at one point. McGrory made statements such as, “I’m going to kill you.” and “I want to kill you.” during the altercation. He left before officers arrived, but they observed the visible injuries Toennies sustained consistent with assault and took pictures for evidence. McGrory was taken into custody for aggravated assault on November 30th.

Mt. Juliet’s Kevin Horton unable to handle drinking in downtown Nashville #Jailed

39-year-old Kevin Horton was disorderly as he got a courtesy ride from police to the Doubletree hotel on November 28th. Horton attempted to escape the patrol car as it moved and became angrier when they arrived at the hotel. They would not open the door for him as quickly as he liked, so he began punching the windows. Horton was deemed a danger to himself and refused to comply with the directions of his acquaintance, who assumed responsibility for him. He insisted that he was not going to stay at a hotel, but return home to Mt. Juliet, so officers had no other choice but to place him in custody for public intoxication as he was unable to care for himself.

Ishan Patel charged in DUI crash in downtown Nashville parking garage

23-year-old Ishan Patel was involved in a car accident in the parking garage of the downtown Nashville Hilton in the early hours of November 27th. A security guard for the parking garage advised officers that he heard a loud bang from a distance, and as officers arrived, Patel was seen trying to flee the scene. The security guard stated that he convinced Patel to step out of the vehicle before the officers arrived. He was visibly intoxicated and told officers that he had two shots of vodka. Officers observed that he urinated on himself before they got to the scene, deemed him unable to take care of himself, and placed him into custody for driving under the influence and implied consent.

Thomas Hammons had shoes on wrong feet, jacked on inside, drunk in Hermitage

23-year-old Thomas Hammons was disorderly at an extended stay property on Central Pike on November 27th. Officers observed Hammons to be highly intoxicated, with both of his shoes on the wrong feet and with his jacket inside out. He was unable to answer the officer’s questions, was speaking incoherently, could not get into the patrol car properly, and refused medical attention. Multiple witnesses stated they had seen Hammons wandering, banging on cars and windows at numerous apartment complexes. Hammons was taken into custody for public intoxication and transported to booking.

26-year-old Kristina Jennings was arguing with her boyfriend of six years, Jerome Hughley, in the early hours of Monday morning. Hughley told officers that Jennings broke his phone due to an earlier agreement dealing with infidelity, which prompted him to later on during the same day take her phone from her and smash it when they both got back to their hotel. When later questioned by officers, Hughley and Jennings admitted they broke each other’s phones. Jennings was taken into custody and charged with vandalism.
