47-year-old Richard Thorpe was escorted out of Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk by security at around 9:50 p.m. on March 24th. After this, officers observed Thorpe harassing bystanders outside of the bar. Officers approached him and attempted to provide him with a safe ride to his hotel. Thorpe showed multiple signs of impairment and could not give officers an address of where he would be staying for the night. So, officers deemed him a danger to not able to care for himself. Thorpe was taken into custody for public intoxication.

DUI: Paige Ledbetter speeds down I-65 North at over 100mph, tells police she “had a rough day”
21-year-old Paige Ledbetter was speeding down I-65 North on March 23rd. Officers observed her coming from behind them, so they followed her, where they reached over 100 miles per hour and initiated a traffic stop. When officers approached, they asked Ledbetter about her driving, and she told them that she “Had a tough day” and was “on her way home.” Officers noticed she reeked of alcohol as she spoke, so they questioned her about it. Ledbetter replied that she had “One after work” at around 5:30 p.m., adding that she “had a rough day.” Then, Ledbetter stated she had “a couple” and allowed officers to search her car, where they located a cup with a yellow liquid that smelled like alcohol. Ledbetter would not clarify if it was alcohol and said that it was “possibly a few days old.” Officers detained her and transported her to a safe location for sobriety tests. Ledbetter performed poorly and then agreed to provide a breath sample after being informed of implied consent, resulting in 0.150 BAC%. Ledbetter was taken into custody for driving under the influence and reckless driving.
Tommy Morgan steals man’s shotguns, immediately pawns them for $500
23-year-old Tommy Lee Morgan was taken into custody for burglary on March 20th. On February 21st, William Kimbrough filed a police report regarding his two shotguns, a Beretta 300 and a Mossberg, being stolen from his detached garage at his residence between February 9th and February 21st. Officers followed up with Kimbrough and were provided serial numbers for the guns, so they checked the local pawn history. Officers learned the Beretta 300 was pawned at Cash America Pawn on North 1st Street on February 17th at 10:14 a.m. by Morgan for $500. Detectives confirmed this after reviewing the pawn store’s surveillance footage. After Kimbrough realized his garage was burglarized, he installed a camera near the back gate in his backyard. Then, on February 24th, at around 3 a.m., Kimbrough’s camera showed Morgan returning, realizing there was a camera, and then turning around and leaving. On March 14th, a warrant was issued for Morgan’s arrest. Morgan was taken into custody on March 20th.
Michael Slavik assaults security guard after not paying tab at Agave Maria, tells him “I am going to smack you”
42-year-old Michael Robert Slavik had an altercation with a security guard, Devin Ray Goodman, at Agave Maria on March 25th. The police were called regarding an intoxicated male, later identified as Slavik, refusing to pay his tab. When officers arrived, they noticed security guards had him pinned down. Goodman spoke with officers and stated that he was called to the bar because Slavik did not want to pay his tab. The supervising security guard attempted to obtain a form of payment from Slavik, who was uncooperative. After being unable to obtain a form of payment, security told Slavik he should leave the property instead. Slavik then left the property but came back a short time later. Security repeatedly told Slavik he had to leave and that if he returned, he would be trespassed. Slavik began to get upset and pushed himself toward security as if he was going to fight them. Slavik told Goodman, “I am going to smack you,” and tried to smack him in the face, but Goodman avoided him. Slavik then asked Goodman’s manager, “Can I smack him?” and then attempted to smack him a second time, but he was able to avoid that as well. Slavik then attempted to punch Goodman in the face but failed. Goodman and the other security guards then pinned Slavik down to the ground due to him fighting back. Shortly after the incident, police arrived and arrested Slavik. Slavik then pulled away from police repeatedly, causing a disturbance, cursing at them, and reeked of alcohol. Slavik was taken into custody for assault, theft, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct.
DUI: Samuel Pimentel flips car during crash, tells police “I F*cked up”
26-year-old Samuel Pimentel had a single-vehicle accident on Elm Hill Pike in the early hours of March 26th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Brandi Johnson, who stated she witnessed the vehicle leave the roadway, hit a mailbox, and flip over. She added that she approached it while two other males began to help Pimentel, who was stuck inside. Johnson advised that Pimentel was the only one in the vehicle. Officers spoke with Pimentel and noticed he was visibly intoxicated. He told them that his leg hurt from the accident, so when they asked him to take sobriety tests, he refused. Officers informed Pimentel of implied consent, and he declined to provide a chemical sample. Pimentel was detained, during which he almost fell on the ground entering the car, making statements such as: “I f*cked up” and “I am a piece of sh*t,” but would not specify why. Pimentel stated he understood why he was being punished, and when officers asked if he was the only one driving, he said, “Maybe, maybe not.” He told them that he was by himself all night and was on the way to Missouri from South Carolina for training and only stopped in Nashville for the day. Officers confirmed that Pimentel was the vehicle’s registered owner but repeatedly stated he did not know how it happened. Pimentel was taken into custody for driving under the influence and implied consent.
Inspirational Speaker Patrick Walker-Reese fails to appear in court for using phone while driving
37-year-old Inspirational Speaker Patrick Walker-Reese was using his phone and tapping his screen while driving down I-40 near mile marker 209 in the early hours of April 23rd, 2023. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop, and then he was cited for driving while using his cell phone. Walker-Reese failed to pay the fine or appear in court on June 16th, 2023, so on August 18th, 2023, a warrant was issued for his arrest. Walker-Reese was taken into custody on March 25th.
Myrone Sanders shoots revolver on Briley Parkway, hides gun in hotel room
41-year-old Myrone Myers Sanders was taken into custody for being a felon in possession of a handgun on March 20th. Officers were dispatched to Briley Parkway and the I-40 East exit ramp regarding a call saying that shots had been fired. Officers located an involved vehicle at Extended Stay America on Elm Hill Pike, matching a description given by another party. The caller stated that the car had 4-5 bullet holes in it. Detectives watched nearby security camera footage to determine where the vehicle occupants could have gone, leading them to their hotel room. The resident permitted officers to search the room, where they located Sanders and Cynthia McDonald, a witness. Officers detained them, continued searching the room, and found a loaded Smith and Wesson Revolver with one spent shell casing under the stove. McDonald told officers that Sanders fired one shot from the revolver, and then they drove back to the hotel, where he had put the gun under the stove. Officers ran Sanders’ identification and were notified that he was a felon in Tennessee out of Shelby County. Sanders was then taken into custody and charged with felony weapon possession.
Abby Howland assaults sister, bites her several times during argument
24-year-old Abby Howland was involved in an altercation with her sister, Alisha Howland, at their Dellway Drive residence on March 22nd. Officers arrived at the mentioned location and made contact with Alisha. Alisha told officers she had an argument with Abby that led to a fight. Alisha went on to say that while they were fighting, Abby bit her several times and pulled her hair out. Officers observed scratch marks all over Alisha’s body and several bite marks that were bleeding.
Shortly after, officers contacted Abby, who stated that she only argued with Alisha because Alisha said she was “the glue that held their family together.” Abby also noted that Alisha hit her first and pulled her hair out as well. Officers observed that Abby had multiple bruises, scratches, and some clear indications of her hair being pulled out. During the investigation, officers spoke with a neighbor of the sisters, Morgan Lewis. He said the sister’s altercation woke him up, so he investigated. Lewis informed law enforcement that he saw Abby on top of Alisha fighting. Lewis advised that he didn’t know who started the fight. Officers could not determine a primary aggressor. Abby Howland and Alisha Howland were taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

DUI: Charles Hendricks drives Chevy Malibu after taking Cocaine with 2-year-old son in the car
49-year-old Charles Williams Hendricks drove his black Chevy Malibu without headlights, traveling northbound on Gallatin Pike South in the early hours of March 23rd. Police observed this and followed Hendricks as he got into the left lane to turn onto Old Hickory Boulevard West. When officers got behind Hendricks, he changed lanes as if he were trying to avoid them. This prompted officers to conduct a traffic stop near Gallatin Pike North and Williams Avenue. Officers approached the driver’s side and noticed Hendricks seemed disoriented and showed multiple signs of impairment. When officers asked him about the plastic wrapper he had stuffed in his door handle, he quickly grabbed it and tried to hide it in his center console. Police then requested an ARIDE-certified officer to assist with the traffic stop, during which Hendricks had several mood swings, where he went from angry to laughing to crying to being sleepy. Hendricks consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly, nearly falling asleep while standing up. Hendricks then refused to provide a sample after being informed of implied consent, so officers took him for a mandatory blood draw. Hendricks was found to have a gram of cocaine in a wadded-up dollar bill in his right shoe as well as his two-year-old son sitting in an unsecured car seat. Additionally, officers found a straw with drug residue in his car. Hendricks was taken into custody for driving under the influence, simple possession, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, child endangerment, and implied consent.
