25-year-old Cache Handy was jailed on an outstanding warrant charging her with the domestic assault of her partner, Daviel Grant. He came to the Family Safety Center to report the couple had been arguing most of the prior evening due to him having an appointment and her getting home late due to traffic. At some point, the argument escalated and he says he confronted her about cheating. She reportedly began to throw things around the kitchen and swiped a flower vase from the counter in his direction, which broke and cut his leg, leaving an injury that police documented.

Dude, where’s my hotel? It’s not inside the Federal Courthouse — Demetrius Jones arrested

23-year-old Demetrius Jones was beating on the doors of the Federal Courthouse at 801 Broadway in downtown Nashville, determined to get inside, believing it was his hotel. Police were dispatched to the scene as a possible burglary call from security. When he explained to MNPD this was his hotel and he was trying to get back up to his room, he did so through a strong odor of alcohol while struggling to stand on his own. Federal officers advises they had no reason to prosecute and would not be responding, so he was taken into custody for public intoxication and transported to booking.

Nicholas Flores charged after starting fight on Broadway in downtown Nashville

26-year-old Nicholas Flores was detained by Metro Nashville Police on Broadway in downtown Nashville after noticing him fighting another bar patron in front of Acme Feed & Seed. As the fight spilled out onto the street, a crowd watched as Flores continued the fight which everyone agreed he initiated. Due to his extreme level of intoxication and inability to control himself in public, Flores was taken into custody, charged with public intoxication.

Sharon Heaton found passed out in front of stranger’s apartment door she thought was her own

Metro Police say 24-year-old Sharon Heaton was trying to enter an apartment that wasn’t hers on Sunday. The actual resident of the apartment believed someone was attempting to break into their home and called 911. Officers arrived to find Heaton passed out on the ground in front of the apartment door. She eventually regained some awareness, but was still extremely intoxicated and was a danger to herself and others. She refused medical services, and with no one else to care for her, was booked into jail, charged with public intoxication.

DUI: Police knock on Jordan Rafferty’s door when she simply goes home after a hit-and-run

27-year-old Jordan Rafferty blew a 0.183% BAC on a breathalyzer when police eventually tracked her down and knocked on her door after she crashed her silver Mazda sedan into a flatbed construction vehicle on Murphy Road and fled the scene. Her car sustained “severe front end damage” and was located in the parking lot of her apartment complex with all airbags deployed. She claims someone at the scene told her to drive home and not worry about it. Witnesses at the scene say she fled the scene as quickly as she collided with the truck. Her Instagram story revealed her at a table with drinks at Otto’s Bar just before the hit-and-run. Rafferty admitted to having “a few glasses” of wine.

Penny Crain tells police she had too much to drink, they agree #PublicIntoxication

Metro Nashville Police officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville received a call about 52-year-old Penny Crain, who was reported to be “extremely intoxicated” and they found her acting unreasonably in public, and unable to care for herself. A report notes she was having difficulty standing on her own and was slurring her words as she yelled at other citizens in the area. She told police “I had too much to drink”.

Jacob Riley flips kitchen table, comes at boyfriend with dining room chair

Michael Mills says he came home to find his 27-year-old boyfriend, Jacob Riley, heavily intoxicated and the home in disarray. The dining room table had been flipped over, and the living room furniture had been thrown around the room. Riley reportedly then spit in his lover’s face and attempted to attack him with a dining room chair. Officers arrived to find the above, plus dining room chairs thrown about, and Riley among the furniture in the living room.
