Cameron Bradford Taylor sets ex-girlfriend’s car on fire after break-up

29-year-old Cameron Bradford Taylor was involved in a domestic disturbance with his ex-girlfriend, Naya Arway Waljroh, at Old Hickory Boulevard in the early hours of November 3rd. Waljroh advised officers that she had recently ended a relationship with Taylor and that he was angry about it, attempting to argue with her on social media on October 31st. She replied and blocked him on November 1st. On November 2nd, she walked outside to leave for work and realized that her car’s tires were slashed, so she completed a report for vandalism. Then, on November 3rd, she saw Taylor’s car circling the parking lot as she watched from her apartment from her window, so she began recording him. An hour later, she saw that her car was on fire and called the authorities. Taylor was taken into custody for two counts of vandalism on December 15th.

DUI: Cameron Kiser drinks before going 60 in a 35-mph zone

28-year-old Cameron Kiser was driving erratically on 1st Avenue North in the late hours of December 15th. Officers observed this and saw him make a wide turn, following the car in front of him too closely, merging into the next lane without signaling, and accelerating 60 mph in a 35-mph zone. They initiated a traffic stop and noticed Kiser was highly inebriated as they approached the driver’s side. He admitted to having two alcoholic beverages before driving, consented to sobriety tests, and performed poorly. Kiser was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

19-year-old Connor Smith elbows mother in face leaving McDonald’s

19-year-old Connor Smith had a domestic dispute with his brother, Keith Smith, and mother, Karen Burrum, while on the way home from McDonald’s on Nolensville Pike the night of December 17th. Officers arrived at their shared residence on Roxanne Drive, spoke with them, and were advised that Keith was driving Connor and Karen home when Connor asked to go to McDonald’s. An argument ensued between Keith and Conor as they left McDonald’s, and it escalated when Connor unbuckled his seatbelt, reached over the center compartment, and swung, hitting Keith while he was still driving. Keith pulled over to the side of the road, and Karen got out of the vehicle to break up the physical altercation by opening Connor’s door. Amid the action, Connor hit her in the face with his elbow, resulting in significant swelling and bruising. She eventually broke up the fight, and Connor exited the vehicle. All parties refused medical attention, and Connor was taken into custody for two counts of domestic assault.

Cody Nelson drunkenly charges at friend group downtown, fights them

35-year-old Cody Edward Nelson had a scuffle on Broadway the morning of December 17th. Officers broke up the fight, and Nelson tried to flee. They told him not to leave and that he was detained, and he said, “No.” The other party involved advised officers that Nelson was following their group, began screaming at them, and charged at them when they were crossing the road. Officers spoke with Nelson, who was visibly intoxicated. They believed he was considered a possible threat to himself and others, so he was placed into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

DUI: Ryan Hopes drinks multiple beers and some Jim Beam before driving

44-year-old Ryan Hopes was standing by the back of his pickup truck as officers arrived at Briley Parkway regarding a domestic disturbance in the early hours of December 16th. He admitted to having driven the truck there and having drank 4-5 beers as well as some of the Jim Beam located in his vehicle. He was visibly intoxicated, refused to perform sobriety tests, and was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

DUI: Hannah Brumley charged with drug possession after crash

27-year-old Hannah Brumley crashed her vehicle at the Dickerson Pike and Hart Lane intersection in the early hours of December 16th. Brumley was highly intoxicated when the officers arrived, stumbling as she walked. She consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and did not complete the tests. Officers read the implied consent form to her, and she refused, then she admitted to having two alcoholic beverages. A subsequent search yielded around a half ounce of marijuana in the front pocket of her overalls. Brumley was taken into custody for driving under the influence, implied consent, and simple possession.

Bryce Anderson refuses to leave Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk in downtown Nashville

22-year-old Bryce Anderson refused to leave Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk in Downtown Nashville the night of December 15th. The complainant flagged down officers and advised them that Anderson had been told to leave the bar and snuck in three times. He did not wish to prosecute Anderson. Anderson was visibly intoxicated, as officers tried to ascertain where he was staying or if he had anyone who could take care of him but were unsuccessful. Anderson was deemed a danger to himself and taken into custody for public intoxication.

Anthony Chambers charged for breaking into multiple vehicles

32-year-old Anthony Chambers was booked on December 9th after being caught burglarizing vehicles on Poplar Avenue. Gordon Simmons stated that he saw a man in the gated lot behind his business and gave a description. He observed the man opening vehicle doors, walking around the property, and picking up things. When the police arrived, the suspect had already left the scene. Officers noticed that the lot’s gate was locked, and there were multiple no-trespassing signs. A K-9 officer passed by Lebanon Pike and observed the suspect about five minutes walking distance away from the scene.  Officers identified the suspect as Mr. Simmons and placed him under arrest.

Ebony Maldonado assaults man during altercation

23-year-old Ebony Maldonado was jailed Wednesday evening after assaulting a man on Lebanon Pike. Efren Granados told police that Maldonado placed her hands around his neck and pushed him. He advised that she never strangled him. When police spoke with Maldonado, she admitted to placing her hands around Efren’s neck and pushing him. She was then placed into custody and transported to booking.
