35-year-old Cody Edward Nelson had a scuffle on Broadway the morning of December 17th. Officers broke up the fight, and Nelson tried to flee. They told him not to leave and that he was detained, and he said, “No.” The other party involved advised officers that Nelson was following their group, began screaming at them, and charged at them when they were crossing the road. Officers spoke with Nelson, who was visibly intoxicated. They believed he was considered a possible threat to himself and others, so he was placed into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
