Yancy Soto forces her way into father’s home, assaults his date during altercation

20-year-old Yancy Soto was booked on February 25th after assaulting her father and his date on Beckley Drive. Yancy called 911 with claims that she had been punched twice in the face by her father, Alfredo Soto Coz. Officers observed drying blood under her nose and spoke to Alfredo. Alfredo stated that Yancy showed up at his house unannounced, angry, and combative. So, Alfredo shut the door on her and resumed having dinner with a woman in the kitchen. At that moment, Yancy forced her way inside through the back patio door and began to attack Alfredo’s date. When Alfredo held Yancy to stop her from attacking the female further, she clawed his arms and spat on him. Alfredo stated he pushed her head away with an open palm, resulting in a bloody nose. Alfredo showed police video footage that captured the moments after the assault. Officers reviewed the footage, which showed Yancy being ushered out the door by her friend, who accompanied her during the incident. The video also revealed Yancy lunging at her father’s date in an attempt to assault her again. When officers asked Yancy what she was doing at her father’s house, she explained that she stops by to visit him every few months. Alfredo stated that it’s been a year since he’s seen Yancy. Yancy Soto was then placed into custody for Domestic Assault and transported to booking.

Marvaughn McClerkin crashes into police cars while fleeing in stolen vehicle

24-year-old Marvaughn McClerkin parked a stolen grey Infiniti Q50 at Commerce Union Bank Building late February 20th. NCIC notified detectives that the Q50 was reported stolen by Cody Sumner on October 6th, so they approached the car and attempted to do a tactical vehicle takedown, but McClerkin fled the scene after ramming into the police cars. MNPD aviation followed the Infiniti to the West End and Louise Avenue area, where they saw the driver, McClerkin, and his unidentified passenger flee on foot. McClerkin was arrested around 25th Avenue South and Kensington Place before being placed into custody for two counts of evading arrest, theft of property, driving with a revoked license, and three counts of aggravated assault.

Robert Freeman pops a wheelie while evading police

26-year-old Robert Elgen Freeman was taken into custody for evading arrest by motor vehicle and reckless driving on February 24th. On September 12th, officers noticed a motorcycle with a blue gas tank and roll cage around the engine speed past them on Old Hickory Boulevard, where they were conducting traffic enforcement. Then, after another officer described the motorist on the traffic channel, they tried to conduct a traffic stop on him. Still, Freeman accelerated away after doing a wheelie, passing citizens who were stopped at the Old Hickory Boulevard and Second Street light. He fled the scene after turning left and going the wrong way into Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage. Officers identified Freeman via social media posts, which showed him wearing the same helmet and driving the same bike.

California Tourist Oscar Camacho deemed too drunk for Downtown Nashville

41-year-old California Tourist Oscar Camacho wandered through traffic near Barstool Nashville off of Broadway in the early hours of February 24th. Officers observed him showing multiple signs of intoxication as he annoyed people in the area. Officers repeatedly told him to leave, and each time Camacho refused. Camacho even declined offers for a cab and then was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Hopkinsville Musician Tulei Yano assaults multiple women at Big Jimmy’s Bar

41-year-old Hopkinsville Musician Tulei Yano assaulted multiple women at Big Jimmy’s Bar in the early hours of February 24th. Security for the establishment flagged officers down and advised them that the attacker, Yano, was inside the closed construction site on 2nd Avenue North. Officers arrived at the site and noticed Yano exhibiting symptoms of intoxication before getting him to exit the construction site. Yano was unaware of his whereabouts and was deemed unable to care for himself. Officers then spoke with Brandi Renea Stimson, an employee at Big Jimmy’s Bar who Yano assaulted. Stimson advised them that she was checking identification at the entry door when Yano grabbed her shoulders from behind and pulled her toward him. Then, after Stimson told him not to do that, Yano entered the bar and assaulted another woman before being kicked out. A short time later, Yano started staring at Stimson from the construction site on 2nd Avenue North. Yano began violently shaking the fence with his hands, causing her to believe that he was targeting her and may climb over the fence to get her. Yano was taken into custody for public intoxication, criminal trespassing, and assault.

Mackenzie Clay breaks into neighbor’s house to give them mail

27-year-old Mackenzie Clay was jailed on February 26th after a home invasion on Mimosa Drive the night prior. Raquel Flores-Guillen stated that she heard someone enter her home from the basement door while she was upstairs. She then called out to them and grabbed a gun to defend herself. Her husband, Mr. Villalobos, quickly jumped out of the shower, took possession of the gun, and asked the intruder why he was inside their home. The intruder stated that he wanted to give them mail and proceeded to come up the basement steps. Mr. Villalobos fired a warning shot down the stairs. The intruder began to run away, and that’s when Mr. Villalobos noticed it was their next-door neighbor who had broken in. Mr. Villalobos told officers that two children were in the house when the incident occurred. Officers found the spare key and footprints leading up the steps of the basement and went next door to speak with Clay. He stated that he heard a beep from next door and entered the home to see what was going on. When officers advised Clay that he was under arrest, he tensed up his body and began to resist. Officers had to carry Clay to the patrol vehicle due to him refusing to walk. While Clay was in the backseat, he spat several times. When the patrol vehicle arrived at booking, Clay refused to exit the vehicle and stated that he would have to be dragged out because he was too tired. Officers then pulled him out of the vehicle and carried him into booking.

Victoria Bisbee deemed too drunk for Nashville International Airport

51-year-old Victoria Lynn Bisbee was found asleep on a bench at Nashville International Airport late February 23rd. Officers patrolling the area observed this and conducted a welfare check. Bisbee woke up disoriented as they asked her when she was flying out, to which she did not answer. Officers noticed she was showing signs of intoxication before admitting to having “a lot of drinks” before she got to the airport.  Bisbee was deemed unable to care for herself and was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Jackson Crosby breaks into apartment after drinking a “good amount of Tequila” on Broadway

24-year-old Former Soldier Jackson Crosby kicked in the door of an Artisan at 18th Apartments unit in the early hours of February 25th. A nearby resident observed this and alerted the authorities. When the officers arrived, they noticed the damaged door and found Crosby sleeping in a bed in the living room. Crosby woke up confused about where he was, stating he was in Spring Hill, Tennessee, where he resides. Crosby then said he thought he was in a hotel, not his home. Crosby said he was unaware of being in Nashville and the last thing he remembered was ordering a cab on Broadway after drinking a “good amount of tequila” at a bar. Crosby claimed not to remember breaking the door or entering the apartment. Crosby was taken into custody for vandalism, aggravated criminal trespassing, and public intoxication.

Nicolas Batz deemed too drunk for Geodis Park

34-year-old Nicolas Moises Batz tried to enter an event without a ticket at Geodis Park on the afternoon of February 25th. Security at the event spoke with officers when they arrived and advised them that Batz was visibly intoxicated. Officers determined Batz was unable to care for himself, so they asked the medics to assist him, but Batz refused. Officers also observed Batz to be unsteady on his feet, so they tried to contact his friends or family. However, officers could not reach anyone, and Batz was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Cayman Gainey punches Lyft driver in face during argument

27-year-old Cayman Gainey had an altercation with Cihan Basak, a Lyft Driver, on January 28th. On February 12th, Basak completed a police report, stating that he picked Gainey and another female up for a Lyft ride. When they arrived at their destination, an argument ensued between Basak and Gainey. Basak stated during the argument Gainey punched him in the mouth, causing an injury to the inside of his upper lip before exiting the vehicle. Basak provided officers with dash cam footage of the incident. Gainey was taken into custody for assault on February 23rd.
