18-year-old Lauryn Carter caught shoplifting at Nordstrom

18-year-old Lauryn Kerry Carter was caught shoplifting at Nordstrom on Abbott Martin Road on January 27th. Tyrell Rutledge, security for Nordstrom, detained Carter and alerted officers. Officers arrived and reviewed the footage showing Carter taking price tags off of items and concealing merchandise. Carter was cited for the incident. Carter was taken into custody for theft on February 12th.

18-year-old Ryan Mackenzie Clark was caught shoplifting at Nordstrom on Abbott Martin Road on January 27th. Tyrell Rutledge, security for Nordstrom, detained Clark and alerted officers. Officers arrived and reviewed the footage showing Clark taking price tags off of items and concealing merchandise. Clark was cited for the incident. Clark was taken into custody for theft on February 12th.

Andre Satterlund brutally assaults girlfriend on Valentine’s Day, tells police they had been “Having problems”

30-year-old Andre Satterlund was jailed on February 14th after reports of him assaulting a woman on 6th Avenue and Mulberry Street. Two separate calls were placed stating that a male and female were outside of a vehicle, physically fighting under a nearby bridge. Both complainants noted that the female was bleeding from her face. The callers gave officers the license plate number of a tan Lincoln sedan. The officers didn’t find the vehicle under the bridge, but it was spotted near Carrol Street and 5th Avenue South. When the vehicle driver noticed the officers, they abruptly drove away. Officers searched the area and located the vehicle in a parking lot at 9th Avenue South and Gleaves Street. There was blood on the hood and passenger door, along with strands of the woman’s hair. Officers then identified Satterlund as the driver and asked him to step out of the vehicle. Santia Zamora was in the passenger’s seat, with extreme swelling to her jaw and eyes. Her nose was bleeding, and her arms were scraped. Officers observed blood everywhere on the passenger’s side of the vehicle and immediately called for an ambulance. Both parties stated that they were in a relationship, and Zamora had gotten into a fight with strangers at Hustler Strip Club. Satterlund initially stated that his girlfriend had gotten into a fight with another woman inside the club. Later, he changed his story to his girlfriend getting into a fight with three women outside the club. Satterlund admitted that he and Zamora had been “having problems” all day. Officers then went to Hustler Strip Club, where two witnesses stated they saw Satterlund kicking and kneeing his girlfriend in the face outside of the club. Officers located an area where there were several items thrown from inside Satterlund’s vehicle and blood on the ground. Officers noticed Satterlund had blood on his pants, and his knuckles were swollen. Zamora was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital for her injuries. While in the ambulance, Zamora admitted that Satterlund punched her, kicked her, and threw her into the side of the car. The severity of Zamora’s injuries is unknown, pending a CT scan. During the search of the vehicle, officers located an open alcoholic beverage within reach of the driver’s side. Officers also learned that Satterlund did not have a valid driver’s license. Zamora did not wish to prosecute. Satterlund was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault, open container violation, and driving without a license on February 14th.

Zachary Bonvallet drunkenly assaults ex-girlfriend at New Year’s Party, tells her “I will end you”

29-year-old Zachary Bonvallet had a domestic altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Victoria Gallagher, at his house on 18th Avenue North in the early hours of January 1st. Gallagher reported that she and Bonvallet planned to go to the bicentennial celebration after their New Year’s Eve party but canceled because he was drunk and his friends were still playing games at their party. Then, Gallagher said, around 2:30 a.m., Bonvallet became upset and argumentative toward her, telling her, “I will end you,” so she began to record the incident. When Bonvallet realized Gallagher was recording him, he tried to snatch her phone from her hands. Gallagher ran to Bonvallet’s guest room, attempting to shut the door behind her when Bonvallet shoved it aggressively, causing it to hit her. Gallagher said she then fell from the impact and hit her face on the door handle. When Gallagher fell, Bonvallet grabbed her phone and ran to his bedroom. When Gallagher got up and tried retrieving her phone, Bonvallet pushed her against the bookshelf. Gallagher managed to retrieve her phone and locked herself in his bathroom until he calmed down. Once Bonvallet calmed down, he allowed her to gather her belongings to leave. Gallagher said she did not wish to prosecute, insisting that she only wanted to make a report. Bonvallet was taken into custody for domestic assault on February 12th.

Asia Price punches ex-girlfriend in face over Snapchat post

24-year-old Asia Price was jailed on February 14th for assaulting her live-in ex-girlfriend, Zynese Brinkley. Brinkley told officers that she and Price had begun arguing over a Snapchat post. Price took Brinkley’s phone and refused to return it, holding it over her head. When Brinkley tried to get her phone back, Price punched her in the face. Brinkley stated that her brother came over and separated them, which is when Price smashed Brinkley’s phone on the counter. Price then took Brinkley’s glasses and broke them in half. Price admitted to breaking the phone and the glasses. Asia Price was taken into custody for vandalism and domestic assault on February 14th.

Alexander Caleb Lafeve drunkenly assaults husband after drinking bottle of alcohol

22-year-old Alexander Caleb Lafeve was jailed early February 13th for assaulting his husband at their home on Alta Loma Road. William Dickerson told police that Alexander had drank a whole bottle of alcohol within the last couple of hours and busted through his bedroom door, yelling at him. Alexander then grabbed Dickerson by his arm, pulling and screaming at him. Dickerson got away from Lafeve, called 911, and waited outside the residence for police. Dickerson was afraid that Lafeve would hurt him, as this wasn’t the first incident of assault but only the first time he had reported it.

Jovani Murillo burns ex-girlfriend’s clothes during altercation

20-year-old Jovani Murillo had a domestic altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Leslie Torres, at her Saturn Drive residence on November 13th. Torres reported that she had recently broken up with Murillo and asked him to return the clothes she had left at his house. Torres later heard a vehicle honk its horn in front of her home, stepped outside, and saw her belongings on fire. Torres observed Murillo get back into his car and drive off. Torres reviewed the footage from her front door camera, which showed him exiting his vehicle, placing her clothes on the ground, and setting them on fire. Torres advised officers that she did not wish to prosecute for the incident and that her damaged property was valued at approximately $100. Murillo was taken into custody for vandalism on February 13th.

DUI: Joshua Ayers drinks 750 ml bottle of Smirnoff Vodka before passing out in vehicle

46-year-old Joshua Damon Ayers was unconscious in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, blocking the roadway on Old Hickory Boulevard on the night of February 10th. NFD personnel spoke with him until officers arrived to question him. Officers asked Ayers for his driver’s credentials, and he fumbled his wallet, needing help locating his license. Ayers advised officers that he could not recall what happened and was unaware of his whereabouts. Ayers also told officers that he just had a death in his family. Ayers then stumbled, exited the vehicle, and fell into a ditch before trying to use the bathroom while speaking with officers. A subsequent search of his car resulted in officers locating a nearly empty 750 ml bottle of Smirnoff Vodka on the passenger side floorboard. Officers took Ayers to a different location to perform sobriety tests, but he refused. After being informed of implied consent, he did not agree to provide a breath or blood sample. Ayers was taken into custody for driving under the influence and implied consent.

John McGee kills woman in crash on Clarksville Pike, tells police it “just happened”

39-year-old John Roger McGee was taken into custody for failing to yield, which resulted in death on February 12th. On September 14th, 2023, Officers responded to a crash on Clarksville Pike and observed a gold Toyota Camry and a red Saturn Aurora with significant front-end damage. The driver of the Saturn, Mary Wheeler, was transported to Skyline Hospital, where she died due to injuries sustained in the collision. McGee spoke with officers and told them that he did not know how the crash occurred and that it “just happened.” A witness, Patrick Hunt, advised officers that he was driving behind McGee’s Camry when it suddenly crossed the other lane and struck the Saturn. Based on the witness statement and roadway evidence, it was determined that Wheeler was driving north on Clarksville Pike when McGee crashed into her. John McGee was taken into custody for failing to yield, which resulted in death on February 12th.

Chastity Robinson pickpockets man she met on Broadway, assaults police officer

43-year-old Chastity Robinson pickpocketed a man she met at a bar on Broadway in the early hours of February 12th. Officers located Robinson and the man, and he advised them that he believed Robinson had taken his wallet. Robinson denied stealing his wallet multiple times before a passerby told officers that he and five other witnesses saw Robinson drop his wallet while entering a cab to flee the scene. The wallet owner told officers that his debit card, credit card, and $160 were missing. Officers searched Robinson’s purse to locate any cards with his name. Officers then asked Robinson why she had many unopened but scratched-off gift cards. In response, Robinson screamed, “Stop lying,” with profanities, and said, “That is an Uber card,” before striking the searching officer with her right hand. When officers asked if they would see her holding the wallet via camera footage, Robinson admitted to stealing the wallet. Officers observed her to be visibly intoxicated, so Robinson was taken into custody for public intoxication and the assault of an officer.
