Casey Daff charged with assault of police officer during drunken dispute downtown

Metro Nashville Police encountered 33-year-old Case Daff during a call for another incident they were investigating at 7th & Broadway in downtown Nashville Friday afternoon. During the investigation, Daff was observed to be visibly intoxicated and repeatedly walked up on officers. He was ordered to stand back, and in response, he smacked away Officer Kency Le’s hand. As he was being detained for assaulting a police officer, he tensed up and was taken to the ground. He continued to make threats and challenge the arresting officer to a fight while at booking.

Michael Turner sent explicit photos of ex-girlfriend to directors of Republic Charter School

48-year-old Michael Turner jailed for threatening ex-girlfriend. On Feb 22nd, Kathy Stroud received threatening text messages from her ex-boyfriend, Turner. Stroud and turner were in a serious relationship that ended over a year ago, and they do not live together. The text message read that he was going to burn her alive. This placed Kathy in fear of bodily harm. She received another text message that same day from Turner, stating that he would send explicit photos to her workplace. Turner acted on this threat and sent three explicit photos via email to all the directors of operations at Metro Nashville Republic Charter Schools. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was booked on that warrant this week.

Astry Garcia attacks boyfriend with a radio when he confronts her about using his car while at work

20-year-old Astry Garcia reportedly attacked her boyfriend, Carlos Bertran, after he came home and confronted her about using his car, as he noticed he had been moved. Carlos says the question upset his girlfriend, and she pushed him and then struck him in the face with a radio, and she would not let him out of the room, some of which was recorded on video. Officers documented injuries to the victim’s hand, and Garcia was taken into custody.

Jordan Martin charged in assault of subletter during disputer

29-year-old Jordan Martin was arrested for assault after allegedly pushing a woman he was sub-letting to. On Feb 18th, officers were dispatched to a Wendy’s on Gallatin Pike to meet with Cassandra McCowen, who claims she was trying to pack her things at a residence on Zophi St. where she subleases a room from Jordan. McCown has been living at the home since March 2022. She and Jordan have a history of verbal disturbances at this address. McCown and her friend Chad Lennert were removing her property from the home when Jordan returned home. Jordan and McCowen got into an argument that turned physical, once he pushed her out of the home. McCown stated that the push did not injure her, but she felt it was offensive and provocative. The police interviewed Lennert as the witness, and he was able to confirm the details of the incident. Officers tried to make contact with Jordan, but he didn’t answer the door, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Harrison Mason pepper sprayed by security after trying to get into friend’s apartment in Nashville

24-year-old Harrison Mason was pepper sprayed by a security guard on March 1 as he attempted to enter his friend’s apartment. Police arrived in response to the call and determined Mason was allowed to be there, but he didn’t just have his keys to the apartment. He was extremely intoxicated and refused to assist officers in finding a resolution to the situation. He was given multiple opportunities to charge his cell phone so that he could contact his friend, and officers eventually made contact with the friend, but Mason continued to be belligerent and was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Cheyenne Evilsizer charged with public intoxication in downtown Nashville

20-year-old Cheyenne Evilsizer was detained by off-duty officers working a secondary assignment near 12th & Broadway in the early hours of March 3. She was reportedly extremely intoxicated and was walking in the roadway and in restricted construction areas. Officers arrived to find her with red, watery eyes, slurred speech, and smelling of alcohol. She was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

William Harmon charged in 4th DUI; found asleep behind the wheel on interstate

32-year-old William Harmon was the driver of a white Nissan Altima with front end damage being driven without any lights at 30 mph on I-65 South on March 2. When officers arrived in the area, they located the vehicle on the shoulder of the road and in drive. Harmon was asleep with one foot on the brake. Additional officers arrived to secure the vehicle, and Harmon was helped out of the car. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and police believe he was under the influence of an opiate. He has prior DUI convictions in 2014, 2013, and 2010.

Jenna Russo kicks at cops after causing scene at Whiskey Row in downtown Nashville

27-year-old Jenna Russo tried to kick an officer in the backseat of the patrol vehicle, according to an arrest report. On Mar 3rd, officers were contacted by the Whiskey Row Bar. On arrival, officers observed Russo detained by security, who stated that Russo was hostile toward them, yelling, pushing, and shoving. Security asked her to leave the bar multiple times, and she refused. At one point, Russo attempted to punch one of the security guards, which is when she was detained. Russo was belligerent and smelled of alcohol, and was arrested for public intoxication. While sitting in the back of the patrol vehicle, Russo undid her seatbelt. When the officer went back to secure the seatbelt, Russo slid back and kicked at him, but didn’t make impact. After that incident, Russo continued to be belligerent and vulgar throughout booking.

Darius Coleman destroyed over a quarter-million dollars of frozen food at Kroger

Police say 21-year-old Darius Coleman destroyed over $250,000 worth of food at a Nashville Kroger store over the past year. Coleman, who was in charge of the store’s frozen food department, says he would often throw away excess items in the freezers to “make it look neat” and that he didn’t want his freezers full of extra product. When the backstock would not fit neatly into the frozen section, he would throw it away to “reduce clutter.” Coleman admitted to his actions and stands by them. Kroger corporate asked he be prosecuted for vandalism.
