19-year-old Hamza Mohamed was jailed on April 17th after slapping his little sister in the face for taking his charger while he was away. Police responded to Bell Road, where they spoke with the minor victim, who said that she was using her brother’s phone charger and fan while he was away and had them in her room while she was asleep. When Mohamed came home, he banged on his sister’s door, demanding she opens it and returns his things. The victim said it took her a while to open the door because she was asleep, but when she did, Mohamed started yelling at her for taking his charger and pushed her face. There was another brother in the house that came into the room and took Mohamed into the hallway, where he calmed down. Mohamed told police that he went into his sister’s room to get the charger, and he was angry because he’s told her before to stop taking his charger. He also admitted to slapping her in the face.

Joshua Harris puts girlfriend in chokehold during argument over dishes
25-year-old Joshua Harris was jailed on April 16th for punching his girlfriend in the head after a fight over the dishes in their home on Mona Drive. Police spoke with Tabitha Taylor, who said that she and her boyfriend, who is also the father of their children, got into an argument about the dishes. It escalated when Harris punched her in the head and put her in a chokehold for about 10 seconds. She was able to push him off and ran to the bathroom to get away from him. Harris followed Taylor to the bathroom, screaming at her, and pushed her into the bathtub. Taylor hit her head on the faucet and cut her finger, which police observed along with the bathroom in disarray. Harris had already fled the scene when police arrived.
Devontee Matthews kicks door into pregnant roommate’s belly
21-year-old Devontee Matthews was jailed on April 14th after kicking a door into his pregnant roommate’s belly. Police spoke with Shanifa Honore, who said she and Matthews got into an argument which escalated when he kicked her bedroom door into her belly hard enough for it to knock her head onto the wall. Shanifa told police that Matthews returned to her room and hit her tv, causing the screen to crack. Officers saw the damaged door and tv, and Shanifa was visibly pregnant. There was video evidence of the incident as well. Matthews told police that he was upset about statements Shanifa and her boyfriend made. He was determined to be the primary aggressor and taken into custody.
Tourist Jamie Arnado jailed after attempting to put her finger in boyfriend’s bum in Nashville hotel
47-year-old Jamie Arnado, a tourist from California, reportedly attempted to stick her finger in her boyfriend’s anus at the Holston House Hotel in downtown Nashville early Monday morning, ending in quite the commotion, and eventually, her in a jail cell. The couple, who have been dating for five years, had been drinking Sunday night before returning to their hotel. As she entered the hotel, she screamed at the staff, demanding a late checkout, and became aggressive. Her boyfriend, Patrick Jenks, was able to get her into their room despite her yelling “shut up” at him during the process. About an hour later, she called the front desk and stated she had been assaulted. Security went to the room, at which time she told her boyfriend she was going to have him arrested for assault, and claimed he grabbed her wrist and twisted it. As police arrived and conducted interviews, it was revealed that she had attempted to stick her finger in her boyfriend’s anus during a sexual encounter, and he told her to stop, and she scratched him along his back, which is what caused him to grab her wrist. She was determined to be the primary aggressor and taken into custody.
Tourist Michael Thompson charged in assault of girlfriend in Nashville
42-year-old Michael Thompson was jailed on April 16th for allegedly pushing his girlfriend, Bridgette Luckie, to the ground and kicking her in the stomach. Police responded to 2nd Avenue, where Luckie’s friend told them that she and her boyfriend, Michael Thompson, had been arguing and he was saying inappropriate things to Luckie and her friends. Luckie told police that her boyfriend said he was going to kill her child and was being aggressive with her friends, so she slapped him in the face, and he pushed her to the ground and kicked her. Luckie’s friend said she saw her slap Michael and then saw him push her to the ground, but she didn’t see him kick her. An employee from a nearby store told police they saw Luckie get pushed and kicked while she was on the ground. Police determined the physical reaction by Thompson was not equal to the slap made by Luckie, and both were taken to jail.

Adam Ganzer charged in bedroom assault of girlfriend after going through her phone
26-year-old Adam Ganzer was reportedly in bed with his girlfriend, Victoria Barclay, Tuesday morning when he began to look at photos in her phone, starting an argument between the couple who lives together in Antioch. She says he ripped the phone from her hand and held it away from her. When she attempted to get it back, he shoved her, knocking her off the bed, which left visible injuries to her elbow. When interviewed by police, Ganzer stated, “She just got back from a four-day boating trip, and that is why she probably has shit on her body.” The victim was transported to the hospital, and Adam Ganzer was transported to jail.
Jordan Stone charged in assault of boyfriend, Nyitrell, during lovers’ quarrel
25-year-old Jordan Stone was jailed Thursday afternoon after attempting to strangle his boyfriend, Nyitrell Debardelaben. The two had an argument after Stone was talking on the phone with someone else. The scuffle originated in the bedroom and then spilled into the hallway of the Creekwood Drive apartment. Once in the hallway, Stone reportedly placed both hands around Nyitrell’s neck and attempted to strangle him. Officers documented visible marks on the victim’s neck.
Jade Schuler assaults brother during a drunken brawl
34-year-old Jade Schuler was jailed on Saturday Morning after fighting with his brother, Jordan Schuler, on Rose Park Drive. Jordan told police that he and Jade got into an argument, and Jade shoved him several times and locked him out of the house. Officers observed bruises on Jordan’s arms, and his shirt was torn. Jordan said he and his brother had been drinking, and he didn’t know why they got into an argument. The brothers have a history of domestic violence incidents between them.
Tourist Aaron Walker charged with punching his wife during assault at DoubleTree Hotel downtown
An employee at the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Nashville heard the yelling and screaming of obscenities and insults coming from a room as he exited an elevator in the early hours of Saturday morning. The employee knocked on the door, and 43-year-old Aaron Walker opened the door, and behind him was Walker’s wife, Caroline, lying on the floor crying. Police were notified about the incident and found Caroline sitting outside the room when they arrived. She says the couple was arguing about financial issues when Aaron punched her with a closed fist. She says she threw a cell phone at him in response. Aaron’s story changed several times during questioning, and he was determined to be the primary aggressor and charged with domestic assault.
