Dalton Williams charged with DUI after early morning crash in Nashville

30-year-old Dalton Williams stopped during sobriety tests and told police he would not waste their time after he crashed his car in Nashville early Saturday morning. Police found Dalton next to his vehicle, smelling of alcohol, on August 12th in front of a residence on Brick Church Pike. The residents of the house said that they saw Dalton exit the vehicle after the crash with a bottle in his hand. When police asked Dalton about the smell of alcohol, he said that he had not been drinking that night but did the day prior. Also, he said that he could not pass a breathalyzer, for he would probably blow a 0.14% BAC. However, he did agree to perform sobriety tests. He showed several indications of intoxication during the tests and stopped during the turn and point, and told police that there was no point wasting their time.

Andrew Gifford — high on marijuana, emotional, and crying, during DUI arrest

26-year-old Andrew Gifford was standing outside his gold Ford Taurus on Whites Creek Pike Sunday when officers stopped to assist him with his broken-down vehicle. He was “emotional and crying” when officers arrived, and they assisted him in fixing the batter connection. He volunteered he had smoked marijuana earlier, but officers did not immediately believe him to be too intoxicated to drive, and he was allowed to drive away and continue about his journey. Officers were traveling behind him a short distance down the road when he began to swerve and crossed both lines several times. A traffic stop was conducted, and Gifford was once again having emotional swings, from calm to angry, to crying, repeatedly. He was placed into the patrol car, where he fell asleep. He was taken into custody and charged with DUI. A blood draw was conducted at Metro General Hospital.

Max Hocker jailed for DUI; found in backseat of car with his girlfriend

18-year-old Maxwell Hocker was found in the parking lot of Woodmont Baptist Church with his girlfriend, Parker Strang, with their car running. Police noticed them in the parking lot close to midnight on Wednesday with the vehicle still running. They made contact when they saw the two in the vehicle’s backseat. Maxwell smelled strongly of alcohol and told police that he drank wine in the parking lot with Parker but had not driven. But later, he said they drank at a party nearby and drove to the parking lot before claiming into the backseat together. Parker told police they were drinking at the party, and then Maxwell drove them to the parking lot. Standard sobriety tests were administered, and he showed signs of intoxication. He refused to do one of the tests due to previous concussions and refused the provide a breath sample.

Thomas Patton charged with DUI after leaving bachelor party

47-year-old Thomas Patton pulled out in front of officers on Gallatin Pike and began driving erratically on the morning of August 6. Police conducted a traffic stop, and Thomas gave them his debit card when they asked for identification. Thomas agreed to step out of the vehicle and perform sobriety tests. He showed signs of intoxication and was placed into custody. While transported to booking, he told the officers that he came from a bachelor party and originally planned to have his wife pick him up. He said that he drove because he lived close by.

DUI: Adrian Arrowood says he “made a mistake” by plowing through a closed street & bike lane

23-year-old Adrian Arrowood was stopped by Officer Parlato for attempting to drive down a road that was blocked off. The officer said Adrian hit bike lane markers before he pulled him over and asked for backup. The officers that arrived spoke with Officer Parlato then they spoke to Adrian. They said that Adrian smelled of alcohol and told them he had “two or three beers” at a karaoke bar with his friend before driving. He then told police that he “had made a mistake,” which police asked what he meant by that, and he said he was “probably too drunk to drive.” After showing clear signs of intoxication during sobriety tests, Adrian was arrested for DUI and consented to a blood draw.

Richard Morris charged with DUI after drinking and smoking marijuana

27-year-old Richard Morris was charged with DUI after police found him at the scene of an accident where his car hit a pole. He told police that he was too busy paying attention to his phone and he veered off West End Ave. Police said that Richard smelled strongly of alcohol when they were talking to them. Richard said that he smoked marijuana and had two daiquiris earlier that Saturday. He performed poorly on the sobriety tests police administered; they said he showed visible signs of intoxication and refused to give a blood sample. However, Richard did consent to a breathalyzer test in which he blew a 0.000% BAC. Police described his pupils as being heavily dilated in a well-lit room.

40-year-old Aymin Mechel was found at the scene of an accident with his vehicle and another parked vehicle. Police spoke to Aymin, who, per the report, reeked of cologne, was unsteady on his feet, and had bloodshot eyes. While speaking to Aymin, police noted that his breath smelled of alcohol. Aymin told police that he hit the parked car and consented to do sobriety tests. After the first test, when he showed clear signs of intoxication, he refused to continue to do tests and argued with the officer. After he was placed into custody, he refused to consent to a breathalyzer or a blood draw. In booking, he admitted to police that he was intoxicated during the accident.

DUI: Edward Anthony Lang charged after rear-ending police vehicle downtown

24-year-old Edward Anthony Lang blew two times over the legal limit after hitting Officer Diesel’s patrol vehicle. An Entertainment District Unit officer spoke to Officer Diesel, who said that a pickup truck hit his car in the early hours of Friday morning. The truck was parked behind him in downtown Nashville, and the vehicle’s driver was Edward. He looked intoxicated, admitted to drinking, performed poorly on sobriety tests, and blew a 0.209% BAC.

Edward Perry charged with DUI — passed out behind truck in his own apartment complex

49-year-old Edward Perry blows four times over the legal limit after he told police that he had more than twelve-pack of beer. Police arrived on August 1st at a West Nashville Apartment complex on Sonya Drive, where Perry lives, and found him lying behind his Ford Ranger. The Ranger was parked with one tire on the sidewalk because a stranger took the keys from Edward and gave them to NFD. Police reported an open beer can in the center console and an open bottle of New Amsterdam Vodka within arms reach of the driver seat. Edward, who was so unsteady police had to help him stand, admitted to drinking heavily. Under Miranda, Edward admitted to drinking more than twelve 24oz beers. He blew a 0.320% BAC level, and police discovered that Edward’s license was suspended.

Teddy Frazier charged with DUI; claims he was born in 2021

23-year-old Teddy Frazier, jailed for DUI, was not born yesterday but told police that he was born in 2021. Close to 3 am on August 2nd, MNPD officers noticed a Ford Fusion with the hazard lights displayed pulled over on Murfreesboro Pike. Police saw the driver immediately try to hide open containers when they turned their blue lights on. As the officers approached the car, they saw an empty wine bottle in the back passenger seat and Teddy in the front seat. After asking Teddy to exit the vehicle, he was unsteady on his feet, smelled of alcohol, and had slurred speech, per the report.

Once Teddy realized his wallet was missing, police asked him for his social security number, and he gave the wrong number of digits several times. The birthday Teddy gave them was August 19, 2021, yet police were able to find him in the state’s records. Teddy said, “You know I’m intoxicated,” several times, and that he does not drink often but finished a whole bottle of wine that night. He said that he started driving at 1:45 a.m. and that the last thing that he had to drink was “whatever was in those cans,” identified as a mixed drink cocktail and a beer. Standard field sobriety tests were conducted, and he showed several indications of intoxication, then later blew a 0.12% BAC on a breathalyzer.
