Kristen Lacey booked on outstanding citation for DUI

27-year-old Kristen Lacey was booked this week on an outstanding citation from January, charging her with DUI. Police say Lacey crashed her Honda CRV on 2nd Ave S and kept repeating, “I messed up,” when officers arrived at the scene. She immediately disclosed she had been drinking at a party prior to driving, and consumed three to four glasses of wine. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was transported to Metro General Hospital for her injuries and issued a citation for the DUI due to her hospitalization.

DUI: Dorian Battle falls asleep behind the wheel in the middle of interstate traffic

23-year-old Dorian Battle says he had “two shots of tequila” and Luke’s bar in Nashville shortly before he was found asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle in an active lane of travel on Interstate 40E near exit 212 early Saturday morning. When officers attempted to wake Battle from his slumber, he drove away from the scene. Officers followed him until he stopped on Fessler’s Lane just before Elm Hill Pike. He performed poorly on some field sobriety tests and later blew a 0.95% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Tanner Bingham charged with DUI after revving engine near CMA Fest downtown

23-year-old Tanner Bingham was revving his engine on Broadway in downtown Nashville in a way meant to disturb other citizens and was observed by officers working security for CMA Fest. He seemed to be attempting to engage the nearby crowd with his antics and was in violation of the Metro noise ordinance. As officers engaged with Bingham, he disclosed he did not have a driver’s license, which was suspended. He also reeked of alcohol and was visibly intoxicated. He blew a 0.104% BAC on a breathalyzer and was transported to booking.

Grant Obersteadt charged with DUI after crash on Hillsboro Pike

43-year-old Grant Thomas Obersteadt rear-ended another vehicle on Hillsboro Pike early Wednesday morning while driving his Toyota Tacoma just a short distance from his home and ran off the roadway. Police spoke with Obersteadt and report the smell of alcohol coming from his breath, along with slurred speech and being lethargic. He denied drinking and stated he had only taken his prescribed Vyvanse one hour before driving. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. 

Madison Haneburg charged with DUI after drinking at Basement East Thursday night

23-year-old Madison Haneburg was driving at 83 mph in a 55 mph zone late Thursday night when she passed a state trooper who conducted a traffic stop. She initially pulled against the left concrete shoulder and had to be instructed to pull to the right side of the road. Officers say she reeked of alcohol upon approach and admitted to drinking three 10 oz tequila drinks at the Basement East prior to driving. She estimated her level of intoxication as a “4” when asked to rate it on a scale from 1 to 10. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was transported to booking.

Simeon Dehart charged with DUI after crash on McCrory Lane

22-year-old Simeon Dehart was jailed on May 27th after flipping his truck into a ditch on Mccrory Lane. When police arrived on the scene, Dehart was being checked out by EMTs and appeared to have no injuries. He was identified by his Pennsylvania driver’s license. Police could smell alcohol coming from his body as they spoke to him. They also noticed his red, watery eyes. The vehicle search yielded a loaded handgun in the center console and several Colt 45 beer cans. Police asked Dehart if he had anything to drink, and he said he had a couple of beers around 7 am that morning before driving from Pennsylvania. Dehart agreed to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Due to his test results, his physical indicators, and the open containers in the vehicle, he was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Ava Reaves charged with late-night DUI in downtown Nashville

Police say 22-year-old Ava Reaves struck a light pole in the media of James Robertson Parkway in downtown Nashville just after 3 a.m. Saturday morning. She was visibly intoxicated and admitted to drinking 2-3 tequila and soda drinks just prior to driving. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and then refused all other testing and questioning. She was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

Realtor Erin Huckabee Akers charged in DUI crash after drinking at Jason Aldean’s Bar

39-year-old Erin Akers told police she had “three Cosmopolitan” drinks at Jason Aldean’s Bar before crashing her car at 12th & Demonbreun late Saturday night. She left the bar to drive home around 11 p.m., which was about an hour before the crash. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and had trouble standing on her own during the interaction. She was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

DUI: Nate Felty blows double legal limit after drinking at Up-Down Nashville

34-year-old Nathan ‘Nate’ Felty told police he had “two IPA Beers” at Up-Down Nashville Wednesday night before he was pulled over in a traffic stop for traveling 51 mph in a 35 mph zone on East Nashville. He wasn’t aware a Metro Nashville Police officer was behind him when he sped up and brushed against a lane marker and abruptly overcorrected as the road shifted at Eastland Avenue. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He eventually blew a 0.163% BAC on a breathalyzer, more than double the legal limit in Tennessee.
