Naquivion Williams assaults baby-mama after showing up to her home drunk

21-year-old Naquivion Williams had a domestic altercation with the mother of his children, Martecia Bynum, at her Dellway Villa Road residence in the early hours of December 25th, 2023. When the officers arrived, they spoke with Bynum, who advised them that Williams showed up at her home intoxicated. Williams began banging on the front door, so Bynum answered it, which is when he grabbed her by the neck and tried to pull her outside. Bynum said she closed the door once Williams grabbed her. Williams then fled the area after Bynum stated she was calling the police. Officers noticed that Bynum sustained a minor scratch to her neck, consistent with her statement. Williams was taken into custody for domestic assault on March 12th.

Corisha Fuqua scratches boyfriend’s hand after catching him cheating

43-year-old Corisha Motisa Fuqua had a domestic incident with her boyfriend, Craig Cicero Martin, near Sinkers Beverages Liquor Store off Gallatin Pike on the afternoon of March 12th. Paul Wesley Poland, a witness who alerted the authorities, advised that he was in the Sinkers Beverages parking lot when Fuqua and Martin argued in their car. Then, Poland said Martin reached into the vehicle, and Fuqua scratched his hand, leaving a mark. When the officers arrived, they spoke with Martin, and he told them that Fuqua had stayed in the car while he went into the liquor store. When he came out, she was looking through one of his phones. Martin then reached for the phone, which was when Fuqua scratched him. Fuqua told detectives that while Martin was in the store, one of his phones vibrated. Fuqua then checked the phone to discover Martin had been speaking to other women. While Fuqua was taking pictures of Martin’s phone with hers, Martin came out of the store and attempted to grab his phone. Fuqua advised that she must have scratched Martin’s hand with one of her nails when he reached for the phone. Officers observed the marks on Martin’s hand and deemed Fuqua as the primary aggressor. Fuqua was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Justin Miller hits roommate in mouth after argument over wifi

53-year-old Justin Miller was involved in an altercation with his roommate, Calvauna Easley, at their 22nd Avenue North residence on March 10th. When officers arrived at the mentioned location, they made contact with Easley, who stated that Miller got upset with her because he believed that she had turned off the wifi. According to Easley, the conversation escalated when Miller snatched her phone out of her hand. After he snatched her phone, he hit her across the mouth, causing blood under her bottom lip. Officers made contact with witnesses who corroborated all of Easley’s statements. Once officers encountered Miller, he admitted that he snatched the phone from Easley’s hand.

DUI: Jonathan Martin swerves between lanes in Dodge Ram after drinking Buffalo Trace Bourbon

59-year-old Jonathan Martin drove his Dodge Ram slower than the posted speed limit, swerving between lanes on Harding Place near Interstate 65 in the early hours of March 12th. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop. Officers noticed Martin reeked of alcohol as they approached him. Martin then admitted to drinking, so officers transported him to a safe location to take sobriety tests, which he performed poorly. Martin was detained and agreed to provide a breath sample, which resulted in 0.64 BAC%. While searching Martin’s Dodge Ram, officers located an open bottle of Buffalo Trace Bourbon in a brown paper bag on the passenger’s seat. Officers also found multiple other alcohol containers and a handgun. Martin was taken into custody for driving under the influence, an open container violation, and the possession of a weapon while being under the influence.  

Mohamed Kadi threatens Airbnb guests after creeping by in his car

27-year-old Mohamed Kadi was taken into custody for vandalism, evading arrest, and resisting arrest on March 12th. A party called the police regarding an individual, later identified as Kadi, driving past their Airbnb on Sigler Street, parking, and then staring at them. They explained that one group member went to speak to him, during which he became angry, exiting his car with a hammer and walking toward them. Then, after a brief argument, Kadi turned his attention to Jeanette Knox’s car and started vandalizing it before fleeing. While officers spoke with the party, Kadi began yelling at them from a nearby street but walked away as the officers approached him. The officers then drove and caught up to Kadi on Music Circle North, where they ordered him to stop so they could speak with him, but he continued to run away until they threatened to taser him. Then, while they were attempting to detain him, he became actively resistive, forcing them to wait for backup to get him to the patrol car.

Joseph Green attacks woman on Broadway for messing with his baby-mama

34-year-old Joseph Travis Green attacked Carlie Nicole Carter at Whiskey Row on Broadway in the early hours of March 8th. Witnesses waved down the police and advised them that Green was walking down 4th Avenue South. Police then located and detained Green. Officers spoke with Carter, who advised them that Green came up from behind and punched her, which was witnessed by Mark McCarthy. McCarthy then chased Green down to stop him after seeing the assault. Then officers spoke with Green, who reeked of alcohol as he advised them that he assaulted Carter because she was messing with his baby’s mother. Officers reviewed the camera footage, which showed Green hitting Carter, and placed Green into custody for assault and public intoxication.

Gary Palmer III flees from stolen vehicle

18-year-old Gary Palmer III rode as a passenger in a 2020 grey Kia Forte, reported stolen by Benjamin Norton, on Buena Vista Pike near the Overlook Ridge Apartments on the afternoon of March 11th. Officers observed the Kia with a group of individuals running away from it. They caught up to Palmer and interviewed him after detaining him, during which he admitted to being in the rear passenger’s seat and knowing that the car was stolen. Detectives reviewed the security footage from the apartments, showing Palmer and four unidentified parties running from where the Forte was parked. Palmer was taken into custody for joyriding.

Ashua Sias beats boyfriend with flat-screen TV during argument

24-year-old Ashua Dyone Sias had a domestic incident with her boyfriend, Charles Dalton, at his Deford Bailey Avenue apartment in the early hours of March 8th. Dalton spoke to officers when they arrived, advising them that he and Sias argued. During the argument, Sias walked out of the bedroom, so Dalton locked the door to de-escalate the situation. This caused Sias to become upset, forced the door open, and grabbed his flat-screen TV from his dresser. Sias then hit him on the head with it before throwing it to the ground and jumping on it, breaking it in half.

Officers then spoke to Sias, who told officers that Dalton had locked her out and that she had forced it open because some of her belongings were still inside. She stated that Dalton started pushing her, so she swung her arms to keep him away. This caused Sias to accidentally knock the TV off the dresser and onto the floor. Officers could see that the TV was broken in half, which was inconsistent with Sias’ story. Sias was taken into custody for domestic assault and vandalism.

Brandon Derrick steals his stepmother’s $700 rings, caught selling them at EZPAWN

24-year-old Brandon Derrick was caught selling the rings he stole from his stepmother, Monique Barton, at EZPAWN on March 7th. On February 13th, Barton placed a police report on Derrick for stealing her rings and pawning them. Upon further investigation, officers found that he pawned some rings at EZPAWN around the same time Barton said she had her rings stolen. Barton met with officers at the pawn shop and identified her rings. Her rings are worth around $700. Derrick was taken into custody and charged with theft on March 8th.

DUI: Dandre McCurry falls asleep behind wheel

46-year-old Dandre Mccury was found asleep behind the wheel of a running car at the intersection of Bell Road and Zelida Avenue on March 10th. Officers made contact and noticed a strong odor of alcohol as they approached Mccury. He attempted to drive off when they asked him to exit the vehicle, but he failed because his car was still in park. Once Mccury stepped outside, he was very unsteady on his feet and would’ve stumbled and fallen if not for assistance. He was immediately placed in the back of a police vehicle. While in the backseat, he was read implied consent but refused to provide anyone with an answer. Upon further investigation, it was found that Mccury had three prior DUI convictions originating from Maury County.
